The multiconfiguration second-order perturbation theory (CASPT2) and complete active space self-consistent field (CASSCF) methods were employed to calculate the geometries and energy levels for the low-lying electronic states of 1,3,5-$C_6H_3Cl{_3}^+$ ion. The CASPT2 values for the 1,3,5-$C_6H_3Cl{_3}^+$ ion were in reasonable agreement with the available experimental values. The current calculations augmented previous theoretical investigations on the ground state and assigned the low-lying excited electronic states of the 1,3,5-$C_6H_3Cl{_3}^+$ ion. The Jahn-Teller distortion in the excited electronic state for the 1,3,5-$C_6H_3Cl{_3}^+$ ion were reported for the first time.

A 2.9 kg, eight-year-old Yorkshire terrier bitch with anorexia and vomiting for 2 weeks was referred to the Seoul National University Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital. The bitch was diagnosed as open cervix pyometra by clinical sign, radiography, ultrasonography and complete blood count. The owner didn't want surgery. So, we chose the electroacupuncture and antibiotics treatment. Electroacupuncture treatment was performed for 15 days at Zi-Gong-Shu and Luan-Chao-Shu acupoints with electrical stimulus at the frequency of 5 Hz, 2~4 volts and for 20 minutes twice a day and ciprofloxacin (5 mg/kg, IM) was administered once a day. At 15 days after treatment diameter of the uterus was contracted to 6.9 mm and total WBC count was 8.5$\times$10$^3$/㎣, progesteron concentration was 0.24 ng/dl and clinical signs including vaginal discharge were disappeared. The first estrus was detected 5 months after the last treatment. With this results, the electroacupuncture for canine open cervix pyometra was considered to be the useful alternative treatment.

The effects of electroacupuncture on small intestinal motility in dogs were investigated. The acupoints used in the experiment were Shao Ze (SI-1), Hou Xi. (SI-3), Yang Lao (SI-6), Zhi Zheng (SI-7) and Xiao Hai (SI-8) which belong to small intestine meridian, Xiao Chang Shu (BL-27) which belongs to urinary bladder meridian, and Guan Yuan (CV-4) which belongs to conception vessel meridian. The anupoints were stimulated with 2-4 volt and 5 Hz for 20 minutes Electroacupuncture at Shao Ze, Yang Lao, and Xiao Hai acupoints increased the intestinal motility, but at Guan Yuan decreased the motility. The acupuncture at Hou Xi, Zhi Zheng and Xiao Chang Shu acupoints showed an increase or decrease of the intestinal movement. The results indicate that the electroacupuncture at Guan Yuan acupoint may depress intestinal motility in cases such as vomiting or diarrhea, and the acupuncture at Shao Ze, Yang Lao, and Xiao Hai acupoints to promote the motility in cases of digestive disturbance may be effective in veterinary practice.

Fifteen dogs with clinical signs of paraparesis, paraplegia and urinary dysfunction were referred to Veterinary Medical leaching Hospital, College of Veterinary Medicine, Konkuk University. According to physical and neurologic examination, survey radiograph and myelography, these patients were diagnosed as thoracolumbar intervertebral disc disease. All of them were treated with medical (prednisolone or carprofen, antibiotics), acupuncture (Ji Zhong, Bai Hui, Zhong Shu, Pang Guang Shu, Zu San Li, Huan Tiao) and physical therapy (hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, massage, manipulation, swimming). Of twelve patients were recovered of neurologic deficits within 21 days after the onset of treatment. However, three dogs were not resolved, which were found to have other spinal cord disease concomitantly. All of patients showed normal urination after treatment. Until 21 months after treatment, there were no recurrence in twelve patients. This study indicated that the conservative therapy could be effectively managed in paraparesis or paraplegia and urinary dysfunction which caused by intervertebral disc disease.

The effects of anchor on fractured specimens in splitting test are simulated by DDARF method, the results of which are compared with laboratory test results. They agree well with each other. The paper contents also use the laboratory model test. The main research objects are three kinds of specimens, namely intact specimens, jointed specimens and anchored-jointed specimens. The results showed that with the joint angle increased, the weakening effects of jointed rock mass are more obvious. At these points, the rock bolts' strengthening effects on the specimens have become more significant. There is a significant impact on the failure modes of rock mass by the joint and the anchorage.

The purpose of this study was to identify and to trace origins of the names of boshon(보션) and Chung(쳥) used in Chosun period. Comparative linguistic analytical approaches were employed for this research. Conclusions and summary of finds and results of this study can be summarized as follows: It was found that the name, boshon had its origin in Aramaic, while the name, chung had its origin in Chinese. The word, boshon (보션) is a transliteration of Aramaic pattashehon, leggins. The name, boshon is a borrowed word from Aramaic. The word, bai shu(背戍) of Koryo period and the word, boshon(보션) of Chosun period were originated in one word, ai shu was taken from a singular form, while boshon was taken from a plural form. Because these two words in Koran have different phonetic values, ′they ar treated as tow different words. The name, chung(쳥) is a transliteration of Chinese cheuan, ch′"uan, Korean chung is a corrupted form of cheunan or ch′"uan.

The diagnosis in Oriental medicine is done by inspection, auscultation and olfaction, interrogation, four diagnostics of pulse feeling and palpation, and various system of identification like identification according to Qi(vital energy), Xue and body fluids, identification according to fair principles, identification according to principles of Wei, Qi, Ying and Xue, identification according to Sanjiao(the triple heater), identification according to four type physical constitution. Sometimes, symptoms and diagnosis techniques according to symptoms is selectively applied for the diagnosis. Among them the pulse feeling and palpation diagnosis technique using the sense of finger and palm of the hand is divided into feeling of pulse and palpation and pressing maneuver. Pressing maneuver is a diagnosis technique pressing and rubbing the affected part in order to attain data of identification including inside and outside condition of the body with regard to the nature, condition and relative seriousness of disease. There are palpation of the skin, palpation the hand and foot, palpation the chest and the abdomen, palpation shu points in pressing maneuver. The diagnosis of the Back Shu points is a technique to examine the change of disease condition from pressure ache, spontaneous ache, tension, relaxation, solidification revealed through channels and collaterals. I investigates starting disease and an attack of disease of twelve pulse and pulse condition through the study relative to the substance and technique of pressing maneuver, and adjusts diagnosis techniques of a region for acupuncture and matters to be attended. The conclusions are as follows. 1. The Shu or stream points in which pathogenic factors go are important to medical treatment of dormant diseases like bowels disease, cold symptom complex and insufficiency symptom complex. 2. Disease classified by system is diagnosed by the condition of process part like pro-trusion, cave-in, tension, relaxation, pressure ache through palpating the Shu or stream points, that is pressing upward or downward left and right sides of the backbone process by hands. 3. In real clinic pressing maneuver of one's back side is very important to patient's diagnosis treatment. Thus, pressing maneuver of one's back side have to be done without omission. 4. Diagnosis must be accomplished through the perception about the diversity of diagnosis technique of bowels disease, the exact knowledge about pressing maneuver of one's back side for enlargement of treatment range and rising of treatment rate, and pressing maneuver of the Shu or the stream points.
