  • As the digital environment expended, concern about importance of narrative and its value has been increased. But detailed study regarding narrative analysis leaves much to be desired. Most studies on animation narrative structure are focused on Japanese and Disney animation of America, shot films in particular. Plus these have not been done by the comparative method but separately by product. This study aims at clarifying the peculiar narrative characteristics between Chinese and American animation through the comparative analysis about s, which are produced in the respective countries, China on behalf of High-context culture and America as the Low-context culture.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to propose useful suggestions by analyzing reliability of guided missile using field data in Military industry. Methods: The collected data from Defense industry company and the military were analyzed using probit analysis which is non-linear model because field data contain binary variable. Results: The results of this study are as follows; It was found that the effect of time was significant. It takes about 12.4 years when 10st percentile of guided missiles are not working and it takes about 18.6 years when 50st percentile of guided missiles are not working. It was found that period between 10years to 15years comes less than reliability 0.0. Conclusion: Periodical check needs to extend from 4 year to 10 year partially. Early LOT need to check per 4 year and follow-up LOT extend the period of check to 10 year by reflecting the result of reliability.

  • This study intends to analyze the projection factors' difference on each record of women's javelin throwing. For this purpose, the research analyzed the best record and the lowest one of athletes in top 1~7 ranks respectively, who participated in 2009 Daegu Pre-Championship Meeting. For analyze kinematic factors, we analyzed their game photos mainly shot by 3 cameras installed in side places. The used analysis program was Kwon3D 3.1. Analysis variables were the projection velocity, angle, height, trunk lean angle, and supporting leg's knee angle. The results concluded as follows: Different record showed statistically significant differences(p<.05) in terms of horizontal velocity and resultant velocity. There were no statistically significant differences in the variables of projection angle, its height, trunk lean angle and knee angle of support leg. But for the analyzed results to each individual characteristics, the horizontal velocity, projection height, knee angle of support leg and trunk lean angle of release event appeared to have influence on record.

  • We introduce a vision-based object detection method for real-time video surveillance system in low-end edge computing environments. Recently, the accuracy of object detection has been improved due to the performance of approaches based on deep learning algorithm such as Region Convolutional Neural Network(R-CNN) which has two stage for inferencing. On the other hand, one stage detection algorithms such as single-shot detection (SSD) and you only look once (YOLO) have been developed at the expense of some accuracy and can be used for real-time systems. However, high-performance hardware such as General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Unit(GPGPU) is required to still achieve excellent object detection performance and speed. To address hardware requirement that is burdensome to low-end edge computing environments, We propose sub-frame analysis method for the object detection. In specific, We divide a whole image frame into smaller ones then inference them on Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based image detection network, which is much faster than conventional network designed forfull frame image. We reduced its computationalrequirementsignificantly without losing throughput and object detection accuracy with the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we present a method to customize the ground color in outdoor sports video to provide TV viewers with a better viewing experience or subjective satisfaction. This issue, related to content personalization, is becoming critical with the advent of mobile TV and interactive TV. In outdoor sports video, such as soccer video, it is sometimes observed that the ground color is not satisfactory to viewers. In this work, the proposed algorithm is focused on customizing the ground color to deliver a better viewing experience for viewers. The algorithm comprises three modules: ground detection, shot classification, and ground color customization. We customize the ground color by considering the difference between ground colors from both input video and the target ground patch. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme offers useful tools to provide a more comfortable viewing experience and that it is amenable to real-time performance, even in a software-based implementation.

  • The development of IT has contributed a lot to enhancing administrative efficiency. In particular, it enabled administrative agencies to be able to upgrade the effects and efficiency of public services by saving unnecessary time, labor, and equipment that might surely occur in delivering routine services in repetition. As the concept of governance and knowledge-based administration assumes a pivotal value in the 21 century administrative innovation, sharing information among agencies is a key to building effective governance system. However, current extent of sharing information in public agencies is below the level of expectation and thus the need exists for the steps to making information shared more widely and effectively among public agencies. This paper gives a snap shot on the extant status of information sharing among public agencies and seeks ways to facilitate it from the perspective of electrical government.

  • Powder injection molding is an important manufacturing technology to mass produce superalloy components with complex shape. Injection molding step is particularly important for realizing a desired shape, which requires much time and efforts finding the optimum process condition. Therefore computer aided engineering can be very useful to find proper injection molding conditions. In this study, we have conducted a finite element method based simulation for the spiral mold test of superalloy feedstock and compared the results with experimental ones. Sensitivity analysis with both of simulation and experiment reveals that the melt temperature of superalloy feedstock is the most important factor for the full filling of mold cavity. The FEM based simulation matches well the experimental results. This study contributes to the optimization of superalloy powder injection molding process.

  • In this paper, we propose AnoVid, an automated video annotation tool based on deep neural networks, that automatically generates various meta data for each scene or shot in a long drama video containing rich elements. To this end, a novel meta data schema for drama video is designed. Based on this schema, the AnoVid video annotation tool has a total of six deep neural network models for object detection, place recognition, time zone recognition, person recognition, activity detection, and description generation. Using these models, the AnoVid can generate rich video annotation data. In addition, AnoVid provides not only the ability to automatically generate a JSON-type video annotation data file, but also provides various visualization facilities to check the video content analysis results. Through experiments using a real drama video, "Misaeing", we show the practical effectiveness and performance of the proposed video annotation tool, AnoVid.

  • This study is about the application of visual structure and presentation of film as one of new methods for design of sequential landscape. The primary objective of the study is to present the basis of applicable and reasonable D니. In applying components of film to DSL, if it is compared with sequential landscape, the film is collection of shots while sequential landscape is accumulation of sceneries. Film and sequential landscape give us a whole meaning different from the meaning itself of a shot or scenery in its experience. The study build a tentative technique of DSL which has the following stages : 1) Goal setting and making out a scenario 2) Analysis and investigation 3) Selection process of definite form 4) Drawing up conti., sketch and notes, It is expected that the technique presented in this study could be a basis for further study of DSL.

  • The purpose of this investigation was to determine the specific fracture mechanics response of cracks that initiate at the stem-cement interface and propagate into the cement mantle. Two-dimensional finite element models of idealized stem-cement-bone cross-sections from the proximal femur were developed for this study. Two general stem types were considered; Rectangular shape and Charnley type stem designs. The FE results showed that the highest principal stress in the cement mantle for each case occurred in the upper left and lower right regions adjacent to the stem-cement interface. There was also a general decrease in maximum tensile stress with increasing cement mantle thickness for both Rectangular and Charnley-type stem designs. The cement thickness is found to be one of the important fatigue failure parameters which affect the longevity of cemented femoral components, in which the thinner cement was significantly associated with early mechanical failure for shot-time period.
