As a very first step for theorizing shopping, this study attempted to diagnose the current of shopping research. Using the keyword of shopping from major academic databases in Korea, the study collected 560 research articles and analyzed patterns of: 1) research by year, journal, and academic area; 2) researchers by academic area; 3) keywords; and 4) research contents. Analyses showed that two thirds of articles in shopping were published after 2000. While the number of journals was the highest in business and engineering, the numbers of articles and researchers were the highest in business and apparel. The most frequently used included internet shopping mall, internet shopping, and shopping orientation. About 66% of shopping research was internet shopping related, and 80% was empirical study using individual consumers. Though shopping was studied as an individual consumer behavior, there were noticeable patterns in research contents by academic field. The study discussed such patterns and provided implications for multidisciplinary approaches for shopping theory and research.
The purpose of this research were to classify college women's clothing shopping orientation and analyze the predictable variables of impulse buying. The results of this research were as follows ; 1. Clothing shopping orientation was classified leisure pursuit, economic, careful and name brand preferring shopping. With reference to leisure pursuit and economic shopping, they were classified into four types, low shopping involved shopping type, economic shopping type, leisure pursuit shopping type, and high shopping involved shopping type. The low shopping-involved and the economic shopping types made much of planned buying. The planned impulse buying, reminder impulse buying, fashion oriented impulse buying and pure impulse buying were highly evaluated in the high-involved and the leisure pursuit shopping types. 3. The high shopping-involved and leisure pursuit shopping types were more likely to do impulse buying than low shopping-involved and the economic shopping types. 4. The most important factor for the four groups was design. Quality, color, utility were followed by design. 5. Impulse buying behaviors of four groups could be predicted by the information source and the marketing stimulus buying.
The Internet of Things (IoT) has gained enormous popularity in various fields of industry. An IoT shopping environment is considered an effective tool for convenient use by consumers. Perceived values (including convenience and privacy risks) of IoT shopping can be the main factors that influence consumers' shopping intentions. The current study proposed a research model based on a value-based adoption model, which integrated perceived benefit and sacrifice, shopping attitude, and shopping intention in an IoT shopping environment. As potential customers, participants in their 20s and 30s were recruited through a marketing research firm. Responses collected via an online questionnaire validated the proposed research model and hypothesis. The results confirmed significant, positive relationships between perceived benefit, including both remote control and access convenience, and consumers' positive attitudes toward IoT shopping. The association between perceived privacy risk and consumers' shopping attitudes was not significant. The indirect effects of two benefits of IoT shopping on shopping intention were also significant and positive. From a practical perspective, this study can help marketers and service providers manage their IoT shopping platforms or applications more effectively to attract consumers. The implications and limitations of this study are discussed. Directions for future research and development of IoT shopping environment are suggested.

To confirm the relationship with constructs, the structural equation model (SEM) was used to test hypothesis in this research. Findings - The study was to examine the relationship of the international consumers' shopping value to the purchase intention in shopping mall when they visit to other countries, and to find if there was any effect on the relationship between the shopping value of the shopping orientation and the willingness of the international shopping mall. In addition, this result can affect the development of service programs for foreign consumers.
As the sphere of consumers' shopping behavior expands, the need to understand shopping orientation also increases. Yet, there has been few research that investigated the nature of clothing shopping orientation[CSO]. Thus, more research that accounts for CSO is needed. The purpose of this study is to determine the concept of CSO. In order to study CSO, documentary research was conducted. The results of this study were as follows: In order to identify the concept of CSO, the concept of general shopping orientation was determined first. The results indicated that the general shopping orientation was a shopping specific lifestyle. Based on this, the concept of CSO was determined. Through investigating the relationship between clothing lifestyle and CSO, and comparing the general shopping orientation and CSO, the concept of CSO was ultimately determined as a clothing shopping specific life style, that is, a patternized clothing shopping aspect integrating consumer's activity, interest, and opinion relating to clothing shopping. It comprehends both behavioral and psychological aspects appearing while the clothing shopping, and before and after the clothing shopping. The results of this study would be useful to reduce the confusion between the concept of CSO and other similar concepts, and to guide valid research on CSO.

This study utilized three outshopping motivation dimensions (utilitarian, social, and hedonic) to empirically verify research questions. The moderating effects of consumers' perceived risks between cross-border online shopping motivations and behavioral intention were also tested on Korean female consumers in their 20s to 40s who had experience purchasing fashion goods through a cross-border online shopping channel within a year. The research are as follows. First, the three motivations have positive effects on cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. Fashion consumers are greatly influenced by hedonic motivation compared to utilitarian and social motivations. Second, perceived risks do not negatively influence cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. Finally, there exists moderating effects of perceived risks between utilitarian motivation and cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. This study reveals motivational and moderating factors that influence fashion consumers to shop through a cross-border online shopping channel. It contributes to prior studies by extending the research range of cross-border online shopping into fashion. Marketers and retailers should note that fashion consumers are most influenced by hedonic motivation when shopping in cross-border online malls.
