지지면에 따른 체중 이동 시 체간 근육의 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Support Surface Condition on Muscle Activity of Trunk Muscles during Weight Shifting Exercise)

  • Purpose: This study examined the muscle activity of the trunk muscles during weight shifting exercises on a stable and unstable surface. Methods: Ten healthy young subjects (4 males, 6 females) with no medical history of lower-extremity or lumbar spine disease were enrolled in this study. The muscle activity was recorded using surface electromyography (EMG) electrodes from the both sides of the external obliques and erector spinae muscles. Results: The EMG activities of the both rectus abdominalis, both external obliques and erector spinae muscles were significantly higher when the weight shifting exercise was performed on a firm surface than when a balance pad with a balance ball was used. In weight shifting exercises, the EMG activity of the contralateral external obliques and erector spinae muscles was significantly higher than that of the ipsilateral external obliques and erector spinae muscles under all three support surface conditions. Conclusion: Performing weight shifting exercise using an unstable surface is a useful method for facilitating the trunk-muscle strength and trunk stability.

  • This paper presents a vehicle model for analyzing the transient shifting characterisitics of a passenger car with automatic transmission. Then the presented vehicle model was linked with the dynamic model of an automatic transmission. In order to identify the parameters of the vehicle model, we installed a test equipment with an accelerometer in a conventional vehicle and performed road tests. With the proposed vehicle model, we simulated the dynamic characteristics during shifting, and benchmarked with experimental results. Moreover, a modal analysis was carried out to investigate the effect of the vehicle model in the frequency domain and to obtain the transfer function of the vehicle model. In addition, we showed the numerical results in the time domain for analyzing the effect of each stiffness element, such as engine mountings and suspensions.

  • The torque converter, an important component of automatic transmissions, is a hydrodynamic device which has a great influence on transient characteristics of vehicle during shift. To predict the accurate driving performance in extremely transient state such as shifting process, a detailed analysis of the torque converter is required. In this study, one dimensional performance model of the torque converter based on the concept of mean flow path, was used to analyze the shifting transients and the exact values of equivalent parameters were determined from the experimental results by using BOX program. The dynamic modelings of the components of power transmission systems such as engines, planetary gear systems, clutches and one-way clutches, were carried out. To analyze the shifting transients of tracked vehicle, a simulation program was developed. In the modeling of power transmission systems, the stiffness of shafts was neglected and shifting control logic(TCU) was included. Using the developed simulation program, the driving conditions were simulated and the results of simulation were verified through the experiments on the dynamometer.

Cogging Torque Reduction in Line Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

  • Cogging torque has a negative impact on the operation of permanent magnet machines by increasing torque ripple, speed ripple, acoustic noise and vibration. In this paper Magnet Shifting Method has been used as a tool to reduce the cogging torque in inset Line Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (LSPMSM). It has been shown that Magnet Shifting Method can effectively eliminate several lower-order harmonics of cogging torque. In order to implement the method, first the expression of cogging torque is studied based on the Fourier analysis. An analytical expression is then introduced based on Permanent Magnet Shifting to reduce cogging torque of LSPMS motors. The method is applied to some existing machine designs and their performances are obtained using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The effect of magnet shifting on pole mmf (magneto motive force) distribution in air gap is discussed. The side effects of magnet shifting on back-EMF, core losses and torque profile distortion are taken into account in this investigation. Finally the experimental results on two prototypes 24 slot 4 pole inset LSPMS motors have been used to validate the theoretical analysis.

E2GSM: Energy Effective Gear-Shifting Mechanism in Cloud Storage System

  • Recently, Massive energy consumption in Cloud Storage System has attracted great attention both in industry and research community. However, most of the solutions utilize single method to reduce the energy consumption only in one aspect. This paper proposed an energy effective gear-shifting mechanism (E2GSM) in Cloud Storage System to save energy consumption from multi-aspects. E2GSM is established on data classification mechanism and data replication management strategy. Data is classified according to its properties and then be placed into the corresponding zones through the data classification mechanism. Data replication management strategies determine the minimum replica number through a mathematical model and make decision on replica placement. Based on the above data classification mechanism and replica management strategies, the energy effective gear-shifting mechanism (E2GSM) can automatically gear-shifting among the nodes. Mathematical analytical model certificates our proposed E2GSM is energy effective. Simulation experiments based on Gridsim show that the proposed gear-shifting mechanism is cost effective. Compared to the other energy-saved mechanism, our E2GSM can save energy consumption substantially at the slight expense of performance loss while meeting the QoS of user.

  • P. M. Cohn called a ring R reversible if whenever ab = 0, then ba = 0 for a, $b\;{\in}\;R$. Commutative rings and reduced rings are reversible. In this paper, we extend the reversible condition of a ring as follows: Let R be a ring and $\alpha$ an endomorphism of R, we say that R is right (resp., left) $\alpha$-shifting if whenever $a{\alpha}(b)\;=\;0$ (resp., $\alpha{a)b\;=\;0$) for a, $b\;{\in}\;R$, $b{\alpha}{a)\;=\;0$ (resp., $\alpha(b)a\;=\;0$); and the ring R is called $\alpha$-shifting if it is both left and right $\alpha$-shifting. We investigate characterizations of $\alpha$-shifting rings and their related properties, including the trivial extension, Jordan extension and Dorroh extension. In particular, it is shown that for an automorphism $\alpha$ of a ring R, R is right (resp., left) $\alpha$-shifting if and only if Q(R) is right (resp., left) $\bar{\alpha}$-shifting, whenever there exists the classical right quotient ring Q(R) of R.

위상천이 네트워크를 사용한 X-마스크 기법 (An X-masking Scheme for Logic Built-In Self-Test Using a Phase-Shifting Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 최대길이 의사무작위 이진 시퀀스(m-시퀀스)의 쉬프트-덧셈 특성에 근거한 위상천이를 이용하여 회로 출력에 나타나는 X-값을 효과적으로 마스크 함으로써 내장된 자체 테스트를 실현할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 패턴생성기인 LFSR의 출력을 적절하게 위상천이 하여 마스크 패턴을 생성할 수 있는 위상천이 네트워크를 이용한다. 테스트 절차 동안에 각 스캔 체인에 인가되는 마스크 패턴의 위상 천이 수는 재구성 가능하다. LFSR의 출력을 적절하게 위상 천이하여 모든 스캔 체인 마스크 패턴을 생성할 수 있는 위상천이 네트워크 합성 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 X-마스크 회로는 각 스캔 체인 마스크 패턴을 생성할 수 있는 후보 위상천이 수가 많기 때문에 하드웨어 오버헤드를 효과적으로 감축할 수 있다. 실험을 통하여 제안된 위상천이를 이용한 X-마스크 회로는 기존의 연구 결과보다 훨씬 적은 저장공간과 하드웨어 오버헤드를 필요로 함을 증명한다.

동력성능 향상을 위한 차량용 자동 변속기의 최적 변속비 및 변속 패턴 결정에 관한 연구 (A study on the determination of gear ratios and shifting pattern of automatic transmission for increasing vehicle performance)

  • 본 연구에서는 차량의 가속성능, 일정시간후 도달거리, 추월 가속성능 등의 동력성능 향상과 차량 요구성능을 고려한 최적 감속비의 결정을 고찰하였다. 변속비 결정의 선행 연구로서 정해진 차량 제원, 엔진 성능과 정해진 변속기에 대하여 차량의 동력성능을 예측, 평가하는 연구의 수행이 요구된다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 기 존의 차량에 대하여 동력 성능을 평가하는 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하여 실차의 제 작과 시험에 앞서 그 동력 성능을 예측, 평가하고 또한 이를 바탕으로 최적 설계기법 에 의하여 엔진 특성을 고려한 변속기의 최적 감속비 및 변속패턴을 결정하는데 촛점 을 두었다.

  • An automatic transmission of construction equipment is controlled by hydraulic and electronic system for doing in various functions like as shifting and operation. The shifting is operated by the engaged and disengaged clutch motion from hydraulic power. On the shifting process, suitable pressure control to the clutch is required for smooth shifting. Hydraulic control system in the automatic transmission is divided by the pilot control type and the direct control type greatly. The direct control type has an advantage than the pilot control type. Because the structure is simple, the design and the manufacture are having less troubles and the system can be maximized precision pressure control. However, the excellent performance proportional control valve should be used to achieve proper control-ability. In this study, the dynamic analysis model composing the automatic transmission and hydraulic system for forklift truck is presented to simulate the characteristics of hydraulic system about the direct control type. That model is verified the validity compared the results of the testing examination. Parameters of input signal are analyzed to reduce the output torque according to input control signal is affected in shifting characteristic.

구체무단변속기의 개발 및 응용 (On the Development and Application of the Spherical CVT)

  • This article deals with the analytic results on the development and application of the Spherical CVT. The Spherical CVT is marked by its simple configuration, the infinite torque multiplication characteristic, and the smooth transitions between forward/neutral/reverse states of output speed. In this study, we describe the conceptual principles behind the Spherical CVT and some applications of it, which we developed recently. And, we propose the shifting algorithm based on the analytic consideration of CVT powertrain system. Contrary to conventional shifting algorithms using the OOL(optimal operating line) of the power source, the proposed shifting algorithm is represented as a $2^{nd}$ order equation in an explicit form, and it reveals the possibility of theoretic design of all optimal controller. As an example, we present numerical results that demonstrate the energy saving possible and the proposed shifting algorithm from the use of the Spherical CVT over standard reduction gear unit, using an ideal dc motor model.
