The radar development of the low output using the phased array antenna (위상 배열 안테나를 이용한 저출력의 레이더 개발)

  • In this development, By using the phase array antenna, the beam around was electronically revolved and the marine fixed type radar of which the detection is possible was made and the check around was tested. There are the risk of the corrosion because of the abrasion of the axis of rotation and salinity with the way that the existing marine pulse radar detects the check by using the mechanical rotation. Besides, the maintenance cost of the magnetron gets to happen by using the detection signal. In this development, The fixed type radar of the low output which revolves electronically around the beam by using the radar signal processing method of the phase array antenna using the phase shifter and FMCW(Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave) method was made. And by using the fixed type radar, the check detection test was conducted.

Metamaterial CRLH Structure-based Balun for Common-Mode Current Indicator

  • We proposed a new PCB-type 'common-mode current($I_c$) and differential-mode current($I_d$) detector' working for fast detection of $I_c$ and $I_d$ from the differential-mode signaling, with miniaturization effect and possibility of cheaper fabrication. In order to realize this device, we suggest a branch-line-coupler balun having a composite right- and left-handed(CRLH) one-layer microstrip phase-shifting line as compact as roughly ${\lambda}_g/14$. The presented balun obviously is different from the conventional bent-&-folded delay lines or slits on the ground for coupling the lines on the top and bottom dielectrics. As we connect the suggested balun output ports of the differential-mode signal lines via the through-port named U and coupled-port named L, $I_c$ and $I_d$ will appear at port ${\Delta}$ and port ${\Sigma}$ of the present device, in order. The validity of the design scheme is verified by the circuit-and numerical electromagnetic analyses, and the dispersion curve proving the metamaterial characteristics of the geometry. Besides, the examples of the $I_c$ and $I_d$ indicator are observed as the even and odd modes in differential-mode signal feeding. Also, the proposed device is shown to be very compact, compared with the conventional structure.

  • The fact that since Internet has been spreaded widely to people, Many security problems also have been grown too much. Due to sudden growth, administrator's responsibility for secure network and services has been growing more and more. This paper represents how to prevent account which didn't use for long period on multi domains environment using service log analysis. hence administrator can find security hole on systems and can dealing with it. The Service Log Analyzer is that loading log file which are written by each service and analyzing them. as a result it makes a list named Used User List contains a number of account names which uses specific services. When the time has come - means cron job schedule time, User Usage Shifter is the next runner. it's mission is finding the person who didn't used service for a specific period of time. Then modifying the expire day of the account information.

A Study on A Dimensional Active Phased Array Antenna (2차원 Quasi-optical 능동배열 안테나에 관한 연구)

  • In this thesis, a two-dimensional active phased array antenna without phase shifter is studied for two-dimensional beam scanning. A designed two-dimensional oscillator-type active array antenna, radiation elements and the oscillator circuits were combined with via-hole and coupled by slot on the opposite ground plane. The operating characteristics are analyzed and experimentally demonstrated , The two-dimensional $4\times4$ elements were designed for the proper coupling strengths and coupling phases by adjusting the width, length and offset position of slot-lines. The fabricated active phased array antenna shows the beam shift characteristics capable of scanning from $-17^{\circ}$ to $18^{\circ}$ with respect to broadside in one dimension, from $-5^{\circ}$ to $10^{\circ}$ in two dimension. The experimental results show that it is possible to use the oscillator-type active phased array antenna as a two-dimensional planar array antenna.

Fluidically-Controlled Phase Tunable Line Using Inkjet-Printed Microfluidic Composite Right/Left Handed Transmission Line (유체를 이용하여 위상응답을 제어하기 위해 잉크젯 프린팅으로 구현한 미세유체채널 복합 좌·우향 전송선로)

  • In this paper, a novel fluid controlled phase tunable line using inkjet printed microfluidic composite right/left-handed(CRLH) transmission line(TL) is proposed. A CRLH-TL prototype has been inkjet-printed on a paper substrate using silver nano particle ink. In addition, a laser-etched microfluidic channel in poly methyl methacrylate(PMMA) has been integrated with the CRLH TL using inkjet-printed SU-8 as a bonding material. The proposed TL provides excellent phase-tuning capability that is dependent on the different fluidic materials used. As the fluid is changed, the proposed TL can have negative-phase, zero-phase, and positive-phase characteristics at 900 MHz and reflection coefficient is maintained to below -10 dB. The performance of the proposed TL is successfully validated using simulation and measurement results.

  • RFID technologies, which allow collecting, storing, processing, and tracking information by wirelessly recognizing the inherent ID of object through an attached electronic tag, have a variety of application areas. This paper presents a novel carrier leakage suppression RF(CLS-RF) front-end for ultra-high-frequency RF identification reader. The proposed reader CLS-RF front-end structure generates the carrier leakage replica through the nonlinear path that contains limiter. The limiting function only preserves the frequency and phase information of the leakage signal and rejects the amplitude modulated tag signal in the envelope. The carrier leakage replica is then injected into the linear path that contains phase shifter. Therefore, the carrier leakage signal is effectively cancelled out, while not affecting the gain of the desired tag backscattering signal. We experimentally confirm that the prototype shows a significant improvement in the leakage to signal ratio by up to 36 dB in 910 MHz, which is consistent with our simulation results.

  • Millimeter wave (mmWave) bands are expected to improve date rate of 5G systems due to the wide available bandwidth. While severe path loss in those bands has impeded the utilization, short wavelength enables a large number of antennas packed in a compact form, which can mitigate the path loss. However, estimating the channel with a conventional scheme requires a huge training overhead, hence an efficient estimation scheme operating with a small overhead needs to be developed. The sparsity of mmWave channels caused by the limited scatterers can be exploited to reduce the overhead by utilizing compressed sensing. In this paper, we introduce compressed sensing techniques for mmWave channel estimation. First, we formulate wideband channel estimation into a sparse recovery problem. We also analyze the characteristics of random measurement matrix constructed using quantized phase shifters in terms of mutual incoherence.

A Study on Multi Target Elevation Angle Estimation of Hight Directivity using Multi Stacked Beam Forming (다중 스택 빔 형성을 이용한 고 지향성의 다중 목표물 고각 추정에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a multi target's elevation angle estimation method using multi beam forming technique. This method make a stacked beam to digital processing a received signal in array element. There can be desired receiving beam to application weight value at antenna element in beam forming. Currently, we are to make multi stacked beam using fast fourier transform in stead of phase shifter to be a computer performance much improvement. Also, we improve multi beam directivity using beam steering error correction technique in order to beam steering to desired direction in receiver. Through simulation, we show that the proposed elevation estimation method based on fast fourier transform and beam steering error correction technique, improves th performance of target estimation compared to previous method.

  • Stockigt sizing test, which is readily affected by individual tester's bias as well as testing conditions in recognizing red coloration, had to be modified to improve its reliability and reproducibility. The novel testing system with the automatic recognizing program of red coloration was developed with the auxiliary equipments including an automatic liquid dispenser and a specimen shifter. The analysis program used a hue value of a droplet image in recognizing a point of time on red coloration instead of RGB values that are not similar to human perception of color. Hue was more sensitive in recognizing the red coloration of a droplet than the other two factors, Saturation and Value. During the test, the program records the time consumed up to a specific hue value of a droplet on a specimen. Differently from the conventional test, the automatic test could obtain a reliable and reproducible sizing degree with a minor error. Furthermore, the Stockigt sizing degree measured by the automatic system showed great correlations with contact angle and Hercules sizing degree. It means that such great correlations will contribute to the development of an integrated measuring system capable of predicting contact angle, surface tension, surface energy and Hercules sizing degree of paper and paperboards through the Stbckigt sizing test. It was meaningful to note that the automatic system for Stbckigt sizing test might be able to used to predict contact angle, Hercules and Cobb sizing degree, based upon the high correlation coefficients.

Design of beam steering dipole phased array antenna systems for IMT-2000 base station (IMT-2000 기지국용 빔 조향 다이폴 위상배열 안테나 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, the beam steering dipole phased array antenna systems for IMT-2000 base station have been designed. The designed beam steering dipole phased array antenna systems are constituted by the antenna part and the beam steering control system part. The antenna part is designed by the proposed flat dipole for the broadband characteristics, and the 8${\times}$8 dipole array antenna is constructed by the proposed flat dipole for the directional radiation pattern. Besides the vertical power divider is designed for the vertical power distribution. The beam steering control system part is designed the horizontal power divider for the horizontal power distribution, the 4-bit phase shifters and the driving circuit of phase shifters for the horizontal beam tilting. In order to evaluate a performance of the designed antenna systems, they were fabricated and the radiation characteristics were measured. From the measured results, we found that the horizontal beams were tilted by the each control signals, and the measured radiation characteristics showed good agreement with the design goals.
