  • The automotive industry is moving from the internal combustion engine to electric drive motors. Electric motors uses a high voltage system requiring the development of resources and components to shield the system. Therefore, in this study, we analyze electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) characteristics of an auto crash pad according to the ratio of electrically conductive materials and propylene. In order to combine good mechanical characteristics and electromagnetic shielding of the automotive crash pad, metal-coated glass fiber (MGF) manufacturing methods are introduced and compared with powder-type methods. Through this study, among MGF methods, we suggest that the chopping method is the most effective shielding method.

Analysis of payload compartment venting of satellite launch vehicle

  • The problem of flow through the vent is formulated as an unsteady, nonlinear, ordinary differential equation and solved using Runge-Kutta method to obtain pressure inside payload faring. An inverse problem for prediction of the discharge coefficient is presented employing measured internal pressure of the payload fairing during the ascent phase of a satellite launch vehicle. A controlled random search method is used to estimate the discharge coefficient from the measured transient pressure history during the ascent period of the launch vehicle. The algorithm predicts the discharge coefficient stepwise with function of Mach number. The estimated values of the discharge coefficients are in good agreement with differential pressure measured during the flight of typical satellite launch vehicle.

Convex형 권선배치방식을 취한 권철심변압기의 충격파절연설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Insulation Design of Surge Voltages for Convex Winding type Ribbon Core Transformer)

  • In this report, as a method to solve the problems on impulse insulation coordination in ribbon core transformer owing to it's BIL stepping up, new design to alter winding distribution of multiple-layer concentric winding to Convex type winding is proposed. The main focus of this method is to settle the weakness of axial direction insulation strength and as a result of theoretical analysis through experiment of model transformers, the following conclusions are obtained; (a) As the electric loadings in a design which increases by strengthenning axial direction insulation endurance in presently avarilable transformers owing to it's BIL stepping up can be restricted in Convex type winding, reasonable design will be suited to the transformer with higher BIL. (b) Convex type winding is a very improved insulation design in respect of insulation coordination because it has shield plate effect to even impulse oscillation. (c) There is a disadvantage to cause leakage flux to increase in Convex type winding, however, the constancy of electric loadings in a design in spite of BIL stepping up restricts the increase of leakage flux to some extent.

  • A nose shape is strongly related with the aerodynamic performances of train. Therefore shape definition and aerodynamic performance analysis are important for train nose shape design. In this study, a new design method was suggested for train nose shape design by configuration function. To this end, the nose shape was classified by box type and each box shape is defined. After that the 3-D shape of train was defined as several mathematical functions by combination of each box shape. Also it was shown that the wind shield of driver's seat and complex curves of surface can be expressed using superposition of functions. This methodology can be used for grid generation of numerical analysis, and applied to aerodynamic optimization design of nose shape.

  • In the paper, we confirmed improvement Noise figure of the entire RF front-end using spiral inductor with PGS(Patterned Ground Shield) and current bleeding techniques. LNA design is to achieve simultaneous noise and input matching. Spiral inductor in input circuit of LNA inserted PGS for betterment of Q-factor. we modeling inductor using EM simulator, so compared with inductor of TSMC 0.18um. We designed and simulation the optimum structure of PGS using Taguchi's method. We confirmed enhancement of noise figure at LNA after substituted for inductor with PGS. Mixer designed using current bleeding techniques for reduced noise. We designed LNA using inductor with PGS and Mixer using current bleeding techniques, so confirmed improvement of noise figure.

  • Internal replaceable electronic module substitutions can impact EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) qualification testing and results if EMC testing is conducted at the cabinet level. The impact of component substitutions on EMC qualification results therefore should be evaluated. If a qualitative evaluation is not adequate to ensure that the modified product will not impact the cabinet level EMC qualification results, a new qualification testing should be conducted. Component level retesting should be conducted under electromagnetically equivalent conditions with the cabinet level test. This paper analyzes the propagation of conducted susceptibility test waveforms in a representative cabinet and evaluates the impact of component substitutions on cabinet level EMC qualification results according to the location of the replacement items. A guideline for a qualitative evaluation of the impact of component substitutions is described based on the propagation of the conducted susceptibility test waveforms. A module level test method is also described based on an analysis of the shielding effectiveness of the cabinet.

직접 PC슬래브설치를 통한 철도지하횡단 공법의 적용 연구 (Railway Underground Crossing Method Using PC Slab)

  • Existing grade crossings between railway and roadway area gradually changed to grade separation systems by the law. In the case of new roadway construction which crosses railways, it shall be grade separation system in principle. With the railway underground crossing method, many practices have been developed which can minimize rail displacements and avoid rail release. With these methods, the effects to the train can be reduced. The underground crossing methods can be identified as open-cut methods and non open-cut methods. The open-cut methods include temporary support methods and special rail construction methods. Also the non open-cut methods includes pipe roof methods, front jacking methods, messer shield methods, NTR methods and JES methods. Among these, the most suitable method is applied considering safety, economy, class of each rail system (train passing frequency and velocity), etc. In the non open-cut methods, the cost and duration shall be increased to keep existing rail system during construction. In the open-cut methods which use plate girders, the rail speed shall be restricted due to the displacement and vibration of the girder. In this study new grade separation methods were developed. With this method, the safety during construction can be increased. This method refines temporary support methods, but pc slab girder with huge stiffness is applied instead of plate girders. With this method, the rail displacement can be reduced and higher safety can be obtained during construction. Also construction cost and duration can be minimized because the temporary work and the overburden soil depth can be reduced.

농업용 저수지 내 침강지의 설치유형에 따른 수질정화효율 평가 (The Evaluation of Pollutant Removal Efficiencies by Sedimentation Basin Types constructed at the Inlets of Irrigation Reservoirs)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 농업용 저수지 유입부에 설치된 3가지 유형(준설형, 차수막형, 보조댐형)의 침강지에 대한 수질정화효율 평가와 수질정화효율 면에서 유리한 침강지의 유형과 적정규모를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해서 주요 수질 항목에 대한 정화효율과 침강지 설치전후의 퇴적물의 이화학적특성을 조사하였다. 수질정화효율은 침강지 유형, 수질항목 및 조사시기에 따라 $-87\%$에서 $92\%$사이의 넓은 변동을 보였다. 농도회귀법(ROC)으로 평가한 설계정화효율은 준설형이 $18\%$, 차수막형이 $29\%$, 보조댐형이 $42\%$로 나타났다. 보조댐형에서는 퇴적물의 이화학적특성 변화가 있었으나, 다른 두 유형에서는 미미하였다. 정화효율, 배수면적 대 유역면적비(SAR), 체류시간 측면에서 비교한 결과, 보조댐형 침강지가 가장 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 침강지는 저수지 수체와 완전히 분리되는 구조이면서 SAR가 $0.7{\sim}1.0\%$ 정도인 규모가 적절하다. 

매개변수 분석을 통한 단층파쇄대의 소단면 쉴드 TBM 터널 굴착 시 최적 보강영역 연구 (A study on the optimal reinforcement area for excavation of a small cross-section shield TBM tunnel in fault fracture zone through parameter analysis)

  • 쉴드 TBM 공법을 사용해 단층파쇄대에 소단면 공동구 터널을 굴착 시 과다한 내공변위 및 붕락 발생 가능성이 높다. 단층파쇄대로 인한 트러블 및 공기증가로 인한 공사비 손실을 최소화하기 위해 적절한 지반보강이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 단층파쇄대의 폭, 단층점토의 존재여부, 토피고 지하수위를 매개변수로 하여 MIDAS GTS NX (Ver. 280)을 이용한 수치해석을 통해 최적보강영역을 제시하고 주변지반 거동을 알아보았다. 그 결과 단층점토가 없는 경우 최대 0.5D 만큼 지반보강 적용 시 내공변위 및 지표침하 기준을 만족하였으며, 높은 투수계수로 인해 0.5D의 차수보강 적용이 필요하다고 판단된다. 단층점토가 존재할 때 내공변위 및 지표침하는 최소 0.5D에서 최대 터널 상부 단층파쇄대 전체에 지반보강 적용 시 안정성확보가 가능하였으며, 단층점토로 인해 지하수 유출량이 기준치 이내로 발생하여 차수보강이 불필요하였다.

고온기 멜론 시설재배 시 자재별 차광 효과 (Effects of Shield Materials on the Growth and Yield Characteristics of Melon Grown inside a Plastic Greenhouse in Summer Season)

  • 고온기 시설멜론 재배 시 저비용 고효율의 개발하기 위하여 차광 자재별 이용 효과를 구명하고자 수행하였다. 차광처리에 따른평균온도는 무차광이 36.6℃, 차광도포제는 34.5℃, 백색차광망은 34℃로 조사되었다. 도포제 살포 직후에 투광률이 무차광에 비해서 차광 도포제 처리구는 69%, 백색차광망 처리구는 75% 이었으나, 40일 및 80일 후 차광 도포제 처리구의 투광률이 각각 92% 및 98%로 높아져 처리된 차광도포제가 서서히 제거되는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 백색차광망 처리구는 시간의 경과에 따른 투광률의 변화가 거의 없었다. 생육에 있어 엽수는 처리 간에 차이가 없었고, 초장은 무차광에 비해 백색차광망과 차광도포제 처리구에서 높게 나타났다. 엽중, 생체중, 건물중의 경우 차광 처리구에 비해서 무차광에서 정식 42일 후에는 더 무거운 것으로 나타났다. 총 상품수량은 무차광에 비해서 백색차광망과 차광도포제가 각각 6% 및 5% 증수되었다. 따라서 고온기 간편하게 온도를 낮출수 있는 방법으로 차광도포제는 효과적이나 서서히 제거되기 때문에 재배 시기를 고려해서 사용하는 것이 바람직하다고 생각되었다.
