As the average usage period of transformers increases, it is becoming increasingly necessary to know the internal condition of transformers. It is therefore critically important to establish monitoring and diagnostic techniques that can perform transformer condition assessment. Frequency response analysis, generally known as FRA, is one of the technologies to diagnose transformers. Using case studies, this paper presents the effectiveness of FRA as measurements for detecting transformer failures. This paper introduces the fact that FRA waveforms have useful information about diagnosis of failure on core earths and winding shield, and that the condition outside transformers can affect frequency response characteristics.

Researchers developed Sediment Trap Drain Channel (STDC) as a solution of the reduction of soil erosion and muddy runoff from a alpine field. The STDC is the one that can take a role of grit chamber by installing the shield made of woods in the concrete channel. The study was conducted 8 kinds of stages according to the amount of soil loss and the inflow. Evaluation factors were ss concentration, turbidity and reduced soil. The results of study showed lessness of ss concentration and turbidity from the lower spot than the upper spot. The average reduction rate of ss concentration was 74 % and the average reduction rate of turbidity was 62 %. It was turned out that the performance related soil loss and muddy runoff of the STDC is effective. The governance was needed to expect the effectiveness of the STDC.
Because High efficiency electric vehicles use electrical energy by an power source, radiated noise at high voltage cable bring on problems at other electric/electronic components. But, in order to insure shielding effectiveness increasing braid density infinitely, it is possible that the cost is more than one third of cost of manufacturing cable. Accordingly in this paper, we studied design of cost-effective and light shield cable using dual shielding system of braid and al-foil.
When using a mobile X-ray unit, primary radiation creates medical images and secondary radiation scatters in many directions, which reduces image quality and causes exposure to patients, care givers and medical personnel. The purpose of this study was to develop a radiation shielding system for effectively shielding secondary radiation and evaluate its effectiveness. Using a mobile X-ray unit, spatial dose according to presence of human equivalent phantom and spatial dose using the developed shielding device were measured, and the phantom at 80 cm equidistance from center of X-ray was compared with spatial dose according to use of a shield. Measurements were taken at intervals of 10 cm every $30^{\circ}$ from the head direction($-90^{\circ}$) to the body direction($+90^{\circ}$). In the spatial dose measurement with and without the phantom, when the human equivalent Phantom was used, the spatial dose was increased by 40% in all directions from 40 cm to 100 cm from the central X-ray, and about 88% of the space dose was reduced when using the developed shields with the phantom. The equidistance dose at 80 cm from the central X-ray was increased by 39% from $5.1{\pm}0.26{\mu}Gy$ to $7.1{\pm}0.15{\mu}Gy$ when the human equivalent phantom was used, and when phantom was used and shielding was used, the spatial dose was reduced by about 90% from $7.1{\pm}0.15{\mu}Gy$ to $0.7{\pm}0.07{\mu}Gy$. The spatial dose of natural radiation was measured to be about $0.2{\pm}0.04{\mu}Gy$ when using the developed shielding with Phantom at a distance of 1 m or more. It is expected that by using the developed shielding system, it will be possible to effectively reduce secondary radiation dose received in all directions and to ensure safe imaging.
Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) films were fabricated by vacuum deposition technique and their microwave shielding properties were investigated for the application to the transparent shield material. The vacuum coating was conducted in a RF co-sputtering machine. The film composition and structure associated with the sputtering conditions (argon and oxygen pressure. substrate temperature. RF input power) were investigated for the attainment of high electrical conductivity and good transparency. The electrical conductivity of IT0 films fabricated under the optimum deposition conditions (substrate temperature : $300^{\circ}C$. Ar flow rate : 20 sccm, Oxygen flow rate : 10 sccm, In/Sn input power : 50/30 W) showed 5.6$\times10^4$mho/m. The optical transparency is also considerably good. The microwave shielding properties including the dominant shielding mechanism are investigated from the electrical conductivity, thickness and skin depth of the ITO films. The total shielding effectiveness is then estimated to be 26 dB, which provides a suggestion that the IT0 films can be effectively used as the transparent shield material.

Purpose: The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the effectiveness of the socket shield technique (SST), an innovative surgical method introduced in 2010, for reducing buccal bone plate resorption. Methods: The review was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines. Clinical studies conducted in humans and investigating the SST were searched on PubMed (MEDLINE), Embase, Web of Knowledge, and Google Scholar in November and December 2021. The implant survival rate, percentage of complications, and clinical parameters (marginal bone loss [MBL], pink esthetic score [PES], and buccal bone plate resorption [BBPR]) were analyzed using the collected data. Results: The initial search resulted in 132 articles. After article screening, the full texts of 19 studies were read and 17 articles were finally included in the review. In total, 656 implants were installed with the SST. Nine of the 656 implants experienced failure, resulting in an implant survival rate of 98.6%. The percentage of complications was about 3.81%. The analysis of clinical parameters (MBL, PES, and BBPR), showed favorable results for the SST. The mean MBL in implants placed with the SST was 0.39±0.28 mm versus 1.00±0.55 mm in those placed without the SST. PES had a better outcome in the SST group, with an average of 12.08±1.18 versus 10.77±0.74. BBPR had more favorable results in implants placed with the SST (0.32±0.10 mm) than in implants placed with the standard technique (1.05±0.18 mm). Conclusions: The SST could be considered beneficial for preserving the buccal bone plate. However, since only 7 of the included studies were long-term randomized controlled trials comparing the SST with the standard implant placement technique, the conclusions drawn from this systematic review should be interpreted with caution.

S-parameters were used to analyze the effect of the circuit according to the height of the EMI shield layers. Among the S-parameters, S11, S21, S22, and S31 were used as factors for determining the effect on the circuit function. Simulations were performed using shields made of Graphite and Ferrite, and the frequencies were run from 100 MHz to 1 GHz. As the height of the shield was increased, the value of S21 was getting closer to 0 dB. In addition, the SE value was confirmed to improve the shielding performance according to the thickness of the insulating layer only in a specific frequency band. Based on 800um with thickest silicon dioxide thickness, the FG structure averaged -1 dB in narrow frequency bands between 100 MHz and 300 MHz, showing better efficiency than GF with an average of -2 dB. Although GF structures do not show high efficiency, they exhibit average performance of -3 dB in frequency bands between 100 MHz and 1 GHz rather than FG structures that sway over a wide range. In other words, FG and GF structures have trade-off structures. Therefore, it should be noted that the appropriate structure is selected for use.
The gamma-ray shielding effects of magnetite concretes have been measured using a broad beam Co-60 gamma-ray source. Mathematical formulae for a trans-mission ratio-to-shield thickness relation were derived from the attenuation curve obtained experimentally and are I (x) = I (ο) exp(-$\mu$X) exp(1.03$\times$10$^{-1}$ X-3.38$\times$10$^{-3}$ X$^2$+5.29$\times$10$^{-5}$ X$^3$) when X< 20 cm, I (x) =I (ο) exp(-$\mu$X) exp(4.66$\times$10$^{-2}$ X+2.12$\times$10$^{-1}$ ) when X>20 cm. Here I (x) is radiation intensity after passing through a thickness X of absorber, I(o) is the initial radiation intensity, $\mu$ is the linear attenuation coefficient of magnetite concrete and is given by (0.0532$\rho$+ 0.0083)$^{4)}$$cm^{-1}$ / in accordance with an earlier study, and X is the thickness of absorber. In addition, a model shield which is a rectangular magnetite concrete box with walls of 8cm thickness walls and internal demensions of 40$\times$40$\times$40 cm was constructed and its shielding effect has been measured. The emergent radiation flux appears to be greater with this configuration than with a slab shield of equal thickness.
As an alternative evaluation method of electromagnetic shielding properties, the material parameters are considered in determining the qualitative value of shielding effectiveness. The specimens are metallized nylon fabrics with the thickness of about 0.1 mm and the electrical conductivities in the range from 6.4$\times$10~2.4$\times$10(sup)5 mhos/m. On the basis of shielding theory, the shielding effectiveness (which is a sum of reflection loss and absorption loss) has been determined from the material parameters of the barrier sheets. For the conductive fabrics, the dominant shield mechanism is predicted to be reflection loss, which shows an increasing function of electrical conductivity. Comparing these theoretical value with the directly measured surface impedances, the error range is found to be within 10 dB, which demonstrates that the proposed material-parameters method can be a convenient way to determine the electromagnetic shielding properties.
Scattering-ray generated during plain radiography can cause secondary exposure to organs and tissues other than the target area. Currently, Shielding devices used to reduce radiation exposure are mostly used for radiation protection of workers, and radiation protection of patients is rarely performed. Therefore, this study intends to evaluate the organ dose by scattered-rays and the effectiveness 3D printing materials as a radiation shielding device during plain radiography through simulation. As a result, the absorbed dose for each organ at the time of examination showed a high effect due to the secondary scattering-ray as the distance from the source was close and the organ closer to the skin surface. The dose reduction effect due to the use of 3D printing shielding devices to protect this showed a higher shielding effect in the case of mixed printing materials compared to plastics.
