The purpose of this study is preparing the database for conventional spinning of the steel sheets which are applied into the mechanical parts such as wheel disc and driving clutch drums. The experimental work for the conventional spinning of cylindrical typed shell has been carried out and the database for limiting spinning ratios, suing-back and thickness distributions has been obtained. The working conditions are categorized for the feeding velocity and dimension of rotating mandrel and forming roller. The results are useful to the product design of conical parts. And the present study can contribute to the improvement of industrial technology.
Recently, direct rolling process, called as strip casting process, has been interested in to save production cost by reducing forming processes. In direct rolling process, since a steel strip of thickness 1-5(mm) can be produced directly from molten metal, it can eliminate secondary hot rolling process. On the other hand, since many process variables are existed in this process and relation of these variables is very complex, it is difficult to realize the process design and the quality control. In this paper, as first step to overcome above difficulties, the quantitative relationship of the process variables affected to quality of the strip has been carried out through the numerical analysis. Also, we determined the process variable to monitor the quality in the direct rolling process. As a result, we show that the solidification final point, called as Nip point, was related directly to quality of the strip.

Wrinkling is one of the major defects in sheet metal products and may be also attributable to the wear of the tool. The initiation and growth of the wrinkles are influenced by many factors such as stress state, mechanical properites of the sheet material, geometry of the body, and contact condition. It is difficult to analyze the wrinkling initiation and growth considering the factors because the effects of the factors are very complex and the wrinkling behavior may show wide variation for small deviation of the factors. In this study, the bifurcation theory is introduced for the finite element analysis of wrinkling initiation and growth, All the above mentioned factors are conveniently considered by finite element method. The finite element formulation is based on the incremental deformation theory and elastic-plastic material modeling. The finite element analysis is carried out using the continuum-based resultant shell elements considering the planar anisotropy of the sheet metal. The proposed method is verified by employing to column buckling problem. And then, the initiation and growth of wrinkling in deep drawing of cylindrical cup are analyzed.
The design analysis of axisymmetric, multi-stage deep drawing dies was performed using the rigid-viscoplastic finite element formulation. In the formulation the axisymmetric CFS algorithm was employed. Hill's non-quadratic normal anisotropic yield criterion and isotropic hardening rule were considered. For trial initial displacements and tool contact points. the geometric force equilibrium method was adopted. In order to see the validity of the formulation, the multi-stage deep drawing processes of shell-cylinder front part of hydraulic booster were simulated. The simulation showed good agreements with measurments and PAM-STAMP results.
Cladonia peziziformis (With.) J.R. Laundon was collected from Baega mountain, Jeonnam Province, Korea in 2008. It is characterized by short and slender podetia with verruculose surface, split along the sides. Apothecia large, pale brown, always growing on the top of the podetia. Primary squamules shell-like, thick, and convex. Fumarprotocetraric acid contained in thallus. This is the first record of this species in Korea.
We employed an unprecedented technique to synthesize porous $WO_3@SnO_2$ nanofibers exhibiting core-shell and fiber-in-tube configurations. Firstly, 2-methylimidazole was uniformly incorporated in as-spun nanofibers containing ammonium metatungstate hydrate and the sacrificial polymer (polyacrylonitrile). Secondly, the 2-methylimidazole on the surfaces of nanofibers was complexed with tin(II) chloride ($SnCl_2$) via simple impregnation of the as-spun nanofibers in ethanol containing tin(II) chloride dihydrate ($SnCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$). The presence of vacant p-orbitals in tin (Sn) and the nucleophilic nitrogen on the imidazole ring allowed for the reaction between $SnCl_2$ and 2-methylimidazole, forming adducts on the surfaces of the as-spun nanofibers. The calcination of these nanofibers resulted in porous $WO_3@SnO_2$ nanofibers with a higher surface area ($55.3m^2{\cdot}g^{-1}$) and a better response to 1-5 ppm of acetone than pristine $SnO_2$ NFs synthesized using a similar method. An improved response to acetone was achieved upon functionalization of the $WO_3@SnO_2$ nanofibers with catalytic palladium nanoparticles. This work demonstrates the potential application of $WO_3@SnO_2$ nanofibers as sensing layers for chemiresistive sensory devices for the detection of acetone in exhaled breath.
The squid had not been utilized for gel products because of its lower gel forming ability. The objectives of this study were as followed; 1) the optimum heating condition on squid meat paste products and 2) the optimum added level for jelly strength of squid meat paste products. Optimum heating conditions of squid meat kamaboko were as followed; setting(pre-heating) at 15$^{\circ}C$ or 55$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours and heating at 9$0^{\circ}C$ for 60 minutes. The additives examined were as follows; 20mM EDTA, 10mM PMSF, 5 $\mu$mol/100g TGase, 0.2% potassium bromate, 2% collagen, 2% sucrose ester of stearic acid and 1% egg shell powder. The effects of additives on jelly strength were observed as follow, in descending order; 10mM of PMSF>5 $\mu$mo1/100g of TGase>0.2% of potassium bromate>20mM of EDTA. But sucrose ester of stearic acid and 1% egg shell powder were no effect. The solvents examined were as follows; n-amyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol, n-hexyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol and glycerin glycol. It showed that high jelly strength as 787gㆍcm for 3% of n-butyl alcohol and 749gㆍcm for 3% of n-amyl alcohol. To adding 5% of n-butyl alcohol and n-amyl alcohol, gave the highest jelly strength and water holding capacity(WHC). Effect of alcohol on jelly strength appeared higher value at added 5% of n-butyl alcohol than n-amyl alcohol, and flying squid product was higher than jumbo squid product.
Chitooligosaccharides were prepared by enzymatic hydrolyzing of crab shell chitosan. Low Molecular Meight chitooligosaccharides(LMW-chitooligosaccharides) , 64.3% of which was composed of trimer, tetramer, and pentamer, was obtained by hydrolyzing chitosan with the chitosanase originated Bacillus pumilus BN -262. High Molecular Meight chitooligosaccharides ( HMW-chitooligosaccharides ) , 49.3% of which was composed of chitooligosaccharides over heptamer, was obtained by hydrolyzing chitosan with the cellulase originated Trichoderma viride. Antimicrobial activity and colony forming inhibitory activity of chitooligosaccharides were tested. MIC of LMW-chitooligosaccharides against Bacillus cereus, Bacillus subtilis, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Escherichia coli O157 : H7, Lactobacillus plantarum, Listeria monocytogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus mutans was 1.5%, 1.5% above 2.0%, 1.5%, 1.5%, below 0.5%, 2.0%, 1.5%, above 2.0%, 1.0%, 1.5% and 1.0% respectively. .

Fabrication and electrical and mechanical properties of piezoelectric micro bending actuators (PMBA) using sol-gel-multi-coated thick PZT films and MEMS processes were investigated. PMBA could be used for design and fabrication of micro fluidic devices, for example, micro-pumps, micro dispensers, and so on. PMBA were fabricated using 2 um thick PZT films on Pt (350 nm)/$SiO_2$ (500 nm)/Si ($300\mu\textrm{m}$) substrates and MEMS processes. 7 types of PMBA were fabricated with areas of silicon diaphragms, PZT films and top electrodes. When the sizes of silicon diaphragms, PZT films and Pt top electrodes were reduced from 3000$\times$$1389\mu\textrm{m}$, 4000$\times$$1000\mu\textrm{m}$ and 4000$\times$$900\mu\textrm{m}$ down to 14%, 14% and 11 % of them, respectively, the center displacements of PMBA were decreased from 0.68 um to 0.10 um at 5 Hz and 12 Vpp. So, PMBA with large areas showed larger displacements than PMBA with small areas and experimental results were also good agreement with the plate and shell theory.

Many applications in computer graphics require complex and highly detailed models. However it is often desirable to use approximations in place of excessively detailed models in order to control the processing time. Thus, we aim to develop a notion of optimal matrix to simplify surface which can rapidly obtain the high quality 2D patterns flattening 3D surface as follows. Firstly, two 3D bodies are modeled based on existing Size Korea data. Secondly, each model is divided by shell and block for its pattern draft. Thirdly, each block is flattened by grid and bridge method. Finally, we selected the optimal matrix and demonstrated the efficiency and quality of the proposed method. This proposed approach accommodates surfaces with darts, which are commonly used in the clothing industry to reduce the deformation of surface forming and flattening. The resulting optimal matrix could be an initiation of standardization for pattern flattening. It is expected that this method could facilitate much better approximation in both efficiency and precision.
