Air Jet와 Rapier 직기 특성이 모직물의 역학적 특성에 미치는 영향(II) - 전단특성, 압축특성, 표면특성 관하여 - (Comparison of Physical Properties on the Worsted Fabrics Woven with Rapier and Air Jet Looms(II) - Characteristics of Shear, Compression and Surface -)

  • In this study, the fabrics were woven with worsted grams of Nm 2/72 and the structure of 5 harness satin on rapier and air-jet loom with different weft insertion mechanism and then fabrics were finished in the same processes. Also the physical properties were measured with KES-FB system and discussed with the characteristics of looms for comparing the difference of physical properties of the worsted fabrics which were woven with two different looms under the same structure. Pot shearing and compression properties, then showed similar behavior and the fabric finishing processes were seemed to affect much more than the difference of the loom types. For the surface roughness, the rapier fabrics showed higher irregularity than the air-jet fabrics.

휠형차량의 연약지 견인성능 예측 (Prdiction of Tractive Performance of Wheeled Vehicles on Soft Terrains)

  • In this paper, mathematical model was developed for predicting the tractive performance of off-road wheeled vehicles operated on soft terrains. Based on the mathematical model, a computer simulation program(TPPMWV) was developed. The model takes into account main design parameters of wheeled vehicle, including radius and width of front and rear tire, weight of vehicle, wheelbase and driving type(4WD, 2WD). Soil characteristics, such as the peressure-sinkage and shearing characteristics and the response to repetitive loading and slip-sinkage effect, are also taken into consideration. The effectiveness of the developed model was verified by comparing the predicted drawbar pulls using TPPMWV with measured ones obtained by field tests for two different driving types of wheeled vehicle. As a results, the drawbar pulls predicted by the TPPMWV were well matched to the measured ones within the absolute errors of 3.916%(4WD) and 13.31%(2WD) for two different driving types, respectively.

Nonlinear FEA of higher order beam resting on a tensionless foundation with friction

  • A novel higher order shear-deformable beam model, which provides linear variation of transversal normal strain and quadratic variation of shearing strain, is proposed to describe the beam resting on foundation. Then, the traditional two-parameter Pasternak foundation model is modified to capture the effects of the axial deformation of beam. The Masing's friction law is incorporated to deal with nonlinear interaction between the foundation and the beam bottom, and the nonlinear properties of the beam material are also considered. To solve the mathematical problem, a displacement-based finite element is formulated, and the reliability of the proposed model is verified. Finally, numerical examples are presented to study the effects of the interfacial friction between the beam and foundation, and the mechanical behavior due to the tensionless characteristics of the foundation is also examined. Numerical results indicate that the effects of tensionless characteristics of foundation and the interfacial friction have significant influences on the mechanical behavior of the beam-foundation system.

함수비가 낮은 동결토의 전단강도 및 강성 평가 (Evaluation of the Shear Strength and Stiffness of Frozen Soil with a Low Water Content)

  • 지반은 동결이 발생함에 따라 물리적 특성이 변화하며, 동결현상에 따른 기초구조물의 안정성 평가는 설계시 중요한 고려사항 중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 동결 및 전단과정 중 연직응력 변화에 따른 동결토의 전단강도 및 강성을 평가하고자 하였다. 동결토의 강도평가를 위하여 직접전단실험을 수행하였으며, 직접전단실험 중 강성평가를 위한 전단파 측정을 동시에 수행하였다. 실험수행을 위하여, 동결용 직접전단상자를 제작하였으며, 상·하부 전단상자의 벽면에는 전단파 트랜스듀서인 벤더 엘리먼트를 각각 설치하였다. 시료는 주문진사 및 실트, 그리고 증류수를 이용하여 포화도 10%로 혼합하였으며, 상대밀도가 모든 조건에서 동일하게 유지되도록 조성하였다. 조성된 시료는 -5℃까지 동결을 진행시킨 후, 온도를 유지한 상태로 직접전단실험을 수행하였다. 동결 및 전단과정 중 시료에는 다양한 크기의 연직응력이 가해졌으며, 전단과정 중 수평변위에 따른 전단응력 및 수직변위, 그리고 전단파를 측정하였다. 실험결과, 모든 구속조건의 경우에서 동결 혹은 전단과정의 연직응력이 증가함에 따라 전단강도는 증가하였으며, 전단과정의 연직응력만 증가한 경우보다 동결과정의 연직응력도 함께 증가한 경우 전단강도가 더 크게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 전단파 속도의 변화는 측정위치에 따라 다른 경향을 보였으며, 전단면을 통과하여 측정한 경우 전단파 속도는 전단변형이 진행됨에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 동결 및 전단과정 시 구속조건의 효과를 평가한 연구로써, 포화도가 낮은 상태의 동결토의 강도 및 강성에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 구상흑연주철을 어니일링하여 퍼라이트기지와 페라이트기지의 양을 조정하므로서 절삭성이 어느 정도 향상되는가를 실험검토하였다. 제일보에서는 퍼라이트기지가 페라이트기지로 변화할 때에 절삭비, 전단각 및 절삭저항에 어떠한 영 향을 주는가를 검토하였고, 본보에서는 기지조직의 변화가 전단응력 및 절삭에너지에 미치는 영향을 검토하였으며 각조직에 대한 절삭방정식과 절삭정수를 결정하였다.

제진 강판의 블랭킹가공 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Blanking Characteristic of Anti- Vibration Sheet Metal)

  • In order to study the shearing characteristics of anti-vibration sheet metal which has been bonded by resin, a blanking die of 40.02mm was manufactured to blank a material and it is used to reduce vibrational noise. The variables employed in this study were 1) Clearance 2) types of stripper plate, and 3) types of the die design technique. These variables were used to study the effects on burr height, diameter of product, and camber height. Lastly, the effect of the position of the rubber during blanking was observed. In the case of burr height from experimental investigation, the push-back die, combined with a movable stripper plate, resulted in the concentration of additional pressure between the cutting edges, meaning the crack initiation was delayed. This result was not affected by lubrication, although appropriate lubrication is preferred to enable a longer lasting die in terms of wear, which results from the presence of adhesive as the sheet metal is blanked. In the comparison of diameter measurement, the push-back die, combined with the back pressure from the knock-out plate showed a favorable precision. The use of the push back die with a fixed stripper plate, with a $4.5\%$ clearance, showed better accuracy in the diameter measurement. For comparing camber height, the push back die resulted in less cambering than the drop-through die. Also, the larger the clearance, the greater was the camber height. Considering experimental results, the shearing of anti-vibrational sheet metal is best achieved when the rubber is laying on the top, blanked with a fixed-stripper plate in a push-back die, with a $4.5\%$ clearance.

Study on strength of reinforced concrete filled circular steel tubular columns

  • Concrete filled steel tubular columns (CFT) are widely used in civil engineering works, especially in large scale of works because of high strength, deformation, toughness and so on. On the other hand, as a kind of strengthening measure for seriously damaged reinforced concrete piers of viaduct in Hansin-Awaji earthquake of Japan in 1995, reinforced concrete piers were wrapped with steel plate. Then, a new kind of structure appeared, that is, reinforced concrete filled steel tubular column (RCFT). In this paper, compression test and bending-shearing test on RCFT are carried out. The main parameters of experiments are (1) strength of concrete, (2) steel tube with or without rib, (3) width-thickness ratio and (4) arrangement of reinforcing bars. According to the experimental results, the effect of parameters on mechanical characteristics of RCFT is analyzed clearly. At the same time, strength evaluation formula for RCFT column is proposed and tested by experimental results and existed recommendations (AIJ 1997). The strength calculated by the proposal formula is in good agreement with test result. As a result, the proposed evaluation formula can evaluate the strength of RCFT column properly.

편광 격자 기반 정량적 위상 이미징을 위한 미분 간섭 현미경 모듈 개발 (Differential Interference Contrast Microscopic Module Using a Polarization Grating for Quantitative Phase Imaging)

  • 본 연구에서는 간단한 구조의 층밀림 간섭계 기반의 정량적 위상 이미징을 위한 미분 간섭 현미경 모듈을 제안한다. 제안하는 모듈은 복굴절성과 편광 광 분할기의 특성을 갖는 기하 위상 소자 중의 하나인 편광 격자를 이용하여 층밀림 간섭계 구조로 구성되고, 편광 카메라를 통해 획득된 4개의 편광 영상으로 정량적인 위상차 영상뿐만 아니라 일반적인 명시야 현미경 영상을 동시에 추출할 수 있다. 또한, 제안하는 모듈의 실시간 영상 획득 가능성, 안정성 및 소형화로 인해 기존의 현미경에 편리하게 적용할 수 있다. 제안하는 시스템을 검증하기 위해 다양한 시편에 대한 명시야 영상 및 위상차 영상을 획득하였고, 또한 이들 영상들을 합성하여 보다 가독성이 높은 시편 영상을 획득하였다.

직접전단시험을 통한 암석 절리의 변형거동 및 미소파괴음 발생에 관한 연구 (Deformation Behaviors and Acoustic Emissions of Rock Joints in Direct Shear)

  • Direct shear tests were on ducted in a laboratory setting in order to investigate the shear strength and deformation behavior of rock joints. Also, the characteristics of acoustic emissions (AE) during shearing of rock joints were studied. The artificial rock joints were created by splitting the intact blocks of Hwangdeung granites and Iksan marbles. Joint roughness profiles were measured by a profile gage and then digitized by Image analyzer. Roughness profile indices(Rp) of the joints were calculated with these digitized data. Peak shear strength, residual shear strength, shear stiffness and maximum acoustic emission(AE) rate were investigated with joint roughness. The peak shear strenght, the residual shear strength and the shear stiffness were increased as roughness popfile index or normal stress increased in the shear tests of granites. In the tests of marble samples, the shear deformation characteristics were not directly affected by joint roughness. As the result of two directional shear tests, the shear characteristics were varied with shear direction. AE count rates were measured during the shear deformation and the AE signals in several stages of the deformation were analyzed in a frequency domain. The AE rate peaks coincided with the stress drops during the shear deformation of joint. The dominant frequencies of the AE signals were in the vicinity of 100 kHz fo rgranite sample and 900 kHz for marble samples. The distribution of amplitude was dispersed with increasing normal stress.
