High rise apartments and super high rise apartments have recently been widely and rapidly disseminated throughout Korea in a very productively efficient way. Within this process, strategies to enhance communal culture have been absent. The purpose of this research is to examine the requirements for community shared spaces for super high rise apartments as expressed by apartment residents. A questionnaire was developed and a web survey was utilized. The respondents were 247 apartment residents. The results showed that a substantial number of residents desired social interaction. This implies the necessity for the promotion of shared spaces. In terms of the possible preferred locations of most possible shared spaces, including sports related space, childcare space, educational space, elderly space, residents' gathering space, and administration space, the lobby proved to be the most popular. Other diverse locations, however, also seemed promising. In conclusion, the residents' desires indicated possibilities of a vertical community culture due to the diverse desires for community spaces. This can be used as evidence to facilitate the vertical community of super high rise apartments.
In this study, the shared facilities and space in the multi-family housing which residents could maintain contacts with their neighbors were investigated and analyzed. It could find the shared facilities and space so that residents could maintain to contact with their neighbors after surveying the dwellers requirements. Also it could specify the importance of the neighborhood common spaces and the conditions for the planning of the shared facilities. Analyzing residents requirement of set-up location, this study lead to the following suggestions concerning the facilities design: In the first neighborhood-circle, it require to be related the household affairs of housewives on the adjacent space to a dwelling-unit. In the second neighborhood-circle, it require especially the facilities for children play, study, reading, hobby etc. These facilities need establish each 4-5 floor in high-rise building estates. The roof & underground floors has been recognized in important & essential place for living facilities. Therefore, it is needed to improve to get ready to receive the various facilities.
In Korea, multi-functional senior residential complexes have become very popular since the end of 1990 by integrating the functions of nursing homes and health care facilities, so that the elderly can maintain their regular healthy life and receive health care when needed depending on their aging stage. Accordingly, it is increasingly important to conduct research on such multi-functional residential facilities. In this study, 6 cases of Korean senior residential complexes and 6 cases of comparable Japanese facilities, which were built earlier than Korea, are compared, and the following results are derived from the comparison. 1. In terms of the shared space, the parallel type and the unified type are found to share more space among complex types. Especially, the low-story concentration type and the eccentric type are found to share space the most. 2. In Korea, an average shared rate is found to be 46.8%; and the rates of a supplied-space, a common-shared-space, and a maintenance-space are found to be 29.73%, 36.33%, and 32.93%, respectively. In Japan's case, an average shared space is found to be 22.31%; and the corresponding rates for the above 3 spaces.
According to Plato's ontology, we lead our lives by establishing a relationship with others in the society. However in rapidly changing era, our lives was gradually moving towards personal tendency. Even for the relationship with family, not with others. Thus, awareness about owning properties has changed due to the sociocultural factors and increase number of single-person households. So in this study, the considerations for single-person housing were perceived through preceding research, and the elements making spatial boundary of shared housing were drawn to make rational space sharing based on the boundary with others and of the living environment. With overall analysis based on the spatial boundary features of planned shared housing, the plan characteristics according to the spatial boundary of the current shared housing is to be drawn and analyzed. Third, The expressive and structural features of spatial boundary as above appear with mutual flexible connectivity, And the result shows that the modularity was the highest. Among them variable coupling modularity of shows how it is possible to combine efficiently and variously the private and public spaces with regularity of 'space of optimal unit'. This study drew plan characteristics from more detailed space border of shared housing. Therefore, The basic framework of the characteristics spin for the cases that newly emerge later on.
The purpose of this research is to identify user needs for community space design, especially shared space. and compare them according to social class. Since the shared space concept is new, it will be difficult for residents to familiarize themselves with the new idea. This study used a Small Croup Workshop Panel Method instead of the conventional survey method for this reason The subjects were 6 Panel groups of S people per each group. Bach of the panels included 3consecutive workshops. The results can be summarised as follows. All the residents wanted various kinds of shared spaces for everyday living and leisure activity While there were generally great similarity regardless of resident's sub characteristics, some founed distintively dissimilar. The residents of 20s pyung apartment wanted day-care center, multi Purpose room for meeting and family events, library, study room, sports facilities, and cultural center in order. The shared spaces that residents of 30s pyung apartment wanted were library. study room. common dining, sports facilities. and cultural center in order. The residents of 50s pyung apartment wanted library, study room. multi purpose room, common storage, sports facilities. and cultural center in order. These findings imply some diverse plans instead of uniform ones are to be deliberately considered, This results can be usefully applied to develop new collective housing for different social class residents.

The study analyzes the demand for residential space in the Untact Era. Residential space comprises six categories: the most necessary dedicated space (DS), most preferred south-facing space (SFS), largest space (LS), most necessary shared space (SS), most necessary infra-space (IS), and others. Results indicated the following: 1) All respondents had the highest preference for relaxing spaces except DS. 2) Differences were found between DS, SFS, and LS by age and SS; IS by residential area; and DS, SS, and IS by household size. 3) People aged 60+ preferred a living room while people aged 40-59 preferred a larger kitchen. Seoul citizens preferred gardens or parks in the complex or neighboring forests whereas local citizens preferred shared offices and medical centers. Households of three or more persons preferred a park/forest and two-person households preferred a honbap restaurant. The implications for housing policy are as follows. 1) Nature-friendly spaces are needed to alleviate a sense of isolation. 2) Changing demand for residential space should be reflected in housing policies. 3) The government's housing supply policy with the same residential space and structure must be changed to provide various residential spaces according to age, residential area, and household size.

This study explores the patterns of housing-related attitudes and the kind of needs for shared community spaces among small-sized apartment housing dwellers. The major findings are as follows. The majority of the dwellers are in strong need of common spaces, especially for children's activities, Social gathering and physical exercises. Housing-related attitudes are found and grouped into 4categories the propensity to making up common society, the propensity to pursuing the quality of neighborhood, the propensity to orienting natural environment, and the propensity to participating in community. The intensity of the needs depends on family lifecycle, employment status of housewives, and the size of floor space. The propensity to making up common society and pursing the quality of neighborhood have stronger impact on needs of shared community space. This study reveals that the sense of community orientation is the most powerful predictor variable for shared community space needs .

This study is a preliminary study to develop design guidelines on shared spaces of apartment for healthy housing. It was tried to set the basic direction of the guideline development by comparing and analyzing related literatures based on the previously identified evaluation indicators of healthy housing of apartment. The major findings were as followings: 1) based on the research conducted before, the characters of shared spaces for healthy housing were classified as physical, mental and social dimensions. 2) According to the comparison and analysis of relevant standards and guidelines, focuses were mostly on the physical dimension, particularly on the human traffic lines of the convenience attributes. Other focuses were on the attractiveness of the apartment complex of the vitality attribute under the mental dimension, and community facilities of the residential stability attributes under the social dimension. Therefore, it was identified that it is required to take complementary measure regarding mental and social dimensions, and design concrete steps to include different attributes of each dimension, in order to develop comprehensive guidelines for shared space.

Since most of CSCW(Computer-Supported Cooperative Work) systems have been developed for particular computing platforms, they are usable only within the specific organizations supporting those particular platforms. Recently, according to the rapid growth and continuing success of the World-Wide Web(WWW or Web) which offers a globally accessible platform-independent infrastructure, many CSCW systems has been constructed and is being developed on the basis of the Web. As one of such CSCW systems, in this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the CoSpace system. The CoSpace system provides shared workspaces, which enable members of a work group easily share information for collaborative work through their Web Browsers. The shared workspaces support information sharing and management between users, and also support event monitoring and synchronization between collaborative works.
In this study, we developed a co-located and space-shared multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna module with a modular design and high integration level. The proposed antenna pair includes a half-wavelength loop antenna and a dipole-type antenna printed on the front and back sides of a compact modular board. Owing to their modal orthogonality, these two independent antenna elements are highly self-isolated and free of additional decoupling components, even though they are assembled at the same location and within the same space. Thus, the proposed antenna is attractive in 5G MIMO systems. Furthermore, the proposed co-located and space-shared MIMO antenna module was employed in a 5G smartphone to verify their radiation and diversity performances. A 12 × 12 MIMO antenna system was simulated and fabricated using the proposed module. Based on the results, the proposed module can be employed in large-scale MIMO antenna systems for current and future terminal devices owing to its high integration, compactness, simple implementation, and inherent isolation.
