문서세단기의 커터날 형상, 크기, 배열과 절단특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on Cutting Characteristic according to a Shape, Size and Array of Cutter for Paper Shredder)

  • The aim of this study is to find the best cutting conditions as analyzing cutting process of paper shredder and shape of cutter. The test has been done variation of torque and cutting velocity according to load. When shape of cutter and distance between cutter and shaft are changed, The variation of cutting force according to cutting angle and load is geometrically analyzed. The result of geometrical analysis is presented that the radius and array of cutter is the method to improve torque of paper shredder. In this paper it is presented as basic method of design to improve cutting performance of paper shredder.

커터 링의 형상에 따른 디스크커터 작용력의 실험적 평가 (Experimental evaluation of the effects of cutting ring shape on cutter acting forces in a hard rock)

  • TBM의 암반 굴착도구인 디스크커터의 작용력은 TBM의 설계와 굴진성능 평가를 위해 핵심적인 항목이다. 본 연구에서는 디스크커터 링의 형상에 따른 디스크커터 작용력의 차이를 실물 선형절삭실험에 의해 실험적으로 분석하였다. 또한 절삭실험 중에 발생하는 커터 링의 변형률을 계측하여 커터 링의 강성을 추정하였다. 분석결과, V형상의 디스크커터를 사용하게 되면 동일한 절삭조건에서 커터 관입깊이를 증가시킬 수는 있지만, 커터의 회전방향으로 큰 응력이 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 커터 작용력을 예측모델에 의해 추정할 경우에는, 디스크커터의 형상과 관련된 변수들을 고려할 수 있는 모델을 사용하는 것이 타당함을 알 수 있었다.

알타리무 삭피용 최적 칼날형상의 구명 (Determination of Optimum Cutter Shape for Peeling Altari Radish)

  • This study was conducted to determine the optimum blade shape for peeling Altari radish. To figure out the required peeling force according to various angles of blade and rakes of peeling cutter, two peeling tests such as circumferential peeling and longitudinal peeling of Altari radish were carried out. Based on the pretest results, which performed to investigate the applicability of the optimum shape of cutter and to find out the cutting pattern according to the lapse of days after harvesting the radish, the peeling depth and width of the blade were fixed at 2 mm and 10 mm. From two methods of circumferential and longitudinal peeling test, the angles of rake and blade as cutter shape factors were affected on peeling force. But the peeling speed was not affected on it under the safety speed as 0.2 m/s, without blade vibrating on peeling operation. The rake angle was more effective factor than the blade angle, and the optimum angles of blade and rake were 10$^{\circ}$ and 55$^{\circ}$ respectively. The cutting surface by the longitudinal peeling was more smooth than that by the circumferential peeling. There was no problem in peeling work during 4 days after harvest because the freshness of the Altari radish was maintained.

  • As the Mobile and Display technology are being developed quickly, new wireless devices are released in great numbers. They reduce existing devices' life time and demand a reduction of developing period of portable devices. With these demands, existing film cutting mold used many films of portable devices, especially LCD Display, needs to be more precise, and cheaper. In this research, we have analyzed machining characteristics of cutter shapes, materials, and cutting conditions for application to other films. Cutter edge was machined by slot cutting method and CAD program to select the cutter shape and cutter angle. Also, we have determined the optimal cutting conditions using high speed machining experiments to improve the productivity.

정면밀링커터의 최적설계에 대한 연구 (2) -공구수명 및 표면조도 중심으로- (A Study on Optimal Design of Face Milling Cutter Geometry(II) -With Respect to Toll Life and Surface Roughness-)

  • In order to improve the cutting ability of face mill, a model for optimal cutter shape was developed to minimize resultant cutting force by combing cutting force model and optimal technique. Wear test and surface roughness test for optimized and conventional cutter were performed. The new optimized cutter shows longer tool life of 2.29 times than conventional cutter in light cutting condition and 2.52 times in heavy cutting condition. The surface roughness of workpiece by optimized cutter is improved in heavy cutting condition, but deteriorated in light cutting condition in comparison with conventional cutter. The surface profiles of workpiece were analyzed by Fourier transformation. The distribution of cut lay left on workpiece by optimized cutter is more regular than that by the conventional cutter.

  • Spent fuel rod cutting device should cut a spent fuel rod to an optimal size in order to fast decladding operation. In this paper, for developing spent fuel rod cutting device with cutter blade, rod properties such as dimension and material of zircaloy tube and fuel pellet are investigated at first and then, various methods of existing cutting devices used commercially are investigated and their performance are analyzed and compared. This device is designed to be operated automatically via remote control system considering later use in Hot-Cell (radioactive area) and the mdularization in the structure of this device makes maintenance easy. SUS and Zircaloy-4 are selected as cut material used in the test of spent fuel rod cutting device by cutter blade. In order for constructing the high durable cutter blade, various materials are analyzed in terms of quality, shape, characteristic, and heat treatment, etc. and from these results, spent fuel rod cutting device is designed and manufactured based on the considerations of durability, round shape sustainability of rod cross-section, debris generation, and fire risk, etc.

  • In the dismantling process of nuclear spent fuels, the spent fuel rod cutting process, followed immediately by the decladding process, performs the cutting the spent fuel rods to a proper length for fast decladding operation. In this paper, we analyzed the chemical compositions, mechanical properties, and physical characteristics for SUS and zircaloy tubes in order to identify the feasibility of cutter-blade type in cutting SUS and zircaloy tubes. It is considered that material, shape and angle, and heat treatment for fabricating the highly durable cutter blade and also it is investigated that the round-shape sustenance of cross-section, amount of debris production, and fire occurrence for measuring the cutting performance on SUS and zircaloy tubes, spent fuel rod cutting device is designed to be operated automatically through the remote control system for use in Hot Cell(radioactive) area and the electro-driven mechanical parts are modularized for easy maintenance. Results from various experiments confirm the efficiency of this device.

  • In end milling process, the undeformed chip section area and cutting forces vary periodically with phase change of the tool. However the real undeformed chip section area deviates from the geometrically ideal one owing to cutter runout and tool shape error. In this study ,a method of estimating the real undeformed chip section area which reflects cutter runout and tool shape error was presented in up end milling process using measured cutting forces. Size effect was identified from the analysis of specific cutting resistance obtained by using the modified undeformed chip section area.

  • 쉴드터널 공사에 있어서 커터도구의 절삭능력은 터널시공의 성패를 좌우하는 주요 변수이기 때문에 지반에 적합한 커터도구의 형상, 규격 및 재질의 선정은 무엇보다 중요하다. 1818년 쉴드공법 발명 이래 암반에 대한 커터도구는 많은 실험과 연구를 통해 발전해 왔으나, 풍화토 및 풍화암 지반에서의 커터도구에 대한 연구는 미진한 상황이다. 본 논고에서는 쉴드공법으로 설계된 서울지하철 7호선 연장 703공구 구간중 최대연장 920m의 풍화대 지반에 대하여 굴착중 커터도구의 무교체 시공과 굴착효율 증진을 위한 커터의 선정을 위하여 커터의 형상 및 재질에 대한 비교 분석을 하였으며, 그 선정사유에 대하여 소개하였다. 또한 국내외로 연구가 미진하였던 풍화토 및 풍화암 지반에서의 커터 마모량 평가방법을 제시하여 설계의 타당성을 검증하였으며, 특히 해외의 시공사례에 대한 분석을 통하여 커터 종류에 따른 지반별 마모계수를 제시하였다.

최소 절삭력형 밀링커터의 가공에서 공구마멸 및 칩의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study about Character of Tool Wear and Chip on The Face Milling Cutter to Minimize Resultant Cutting Force)

  • A new optimal tool design model which can be minimized the resultant cutting forces under the constrains of variables was developed. The resultant cutting forces are used as the objective function and tool angles are used as the variables. Cutting experiments of tool wear and chip length using the new and conventional tools wee carried out. Tool life of optimized cutter are more increased than those of conventional cutter by 2.29 times and 2.52 times at light and at heavy cutting conditions respectively. Chip length of optimized cutter are more increased than those of conventional cutter It is considered that the decrease of the resultant cutting forces is the cause that an effective rake and shear angles by the shape of optimal cutter.
