This investigation is the result of the structural analysis by finite element method and test for considering stress distribution and stress concentration to be generated according to the change of attached shape and method of the bracket to pipe in welding structure. Generally, members that consist structures are subjected to various forces and are jointed each other with a number of bracket. In this case, circular pipe was adapted in order to weld these members easily and to study the optimal design which is used a beam with shape section as main components of the structure, According to attached shape and method, distributed stress on circular pipe is appeared so differently. This may result deeply effects with respect to thickness, material properties. So a study on attaching shape and method of bracket to circular pipe is needed. In this paper, to obtain the maximum equivalent stress or stress concentration was used experimental and F.E.M. analysis. First five parameter was defined with respect to attached a shape and method to circular pipe i.e. the variation of the attached area, the variation of the attached shape, the variation of the attached length, the variation of both directin angles, the variation of the upper angle. Afterward the experimental analysis was practiced as the variation of the both direction angel and the finite element analysis was practiced as each parameters. We can discover stress distribution and stress concentration according to the change of form of bracket. And the result can be referenced for a design of similar structure.
A computational method has been developed to analyze the bone-remodeling induced by external fixator. The method was based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) in combination with numerical formulation of adaptive bone-remodeling theories. As a feed-back control variable, compressive strain and effective stress were used to determine the surface remodeling and internal (density) remodeling respectively. Surface remodeling and internal remodeling were combined at each time step to predict the rel situation. A noticeable shape and density change were detected at the region between two pins and density change was decreased with time increment. At final time step, the shape and density distribution were converged closely to its original intact bone model. Similar change was detected in stress distribution. The altered stress distribution due to the pin and external fixator converged to the intact stress distribution with time.
In this research, a numerical algorithm has been developed, which can be applied to the large deformation and large displacement contact problems between angle change have been proposed considering the change in geometric shape and rate of contact force. A set of linear simultaneous equations is constructed by adding the geometric shape change and contact conditions to the original stiffness matrix. A new method to determine time increment has been proposed based on Euler method, in which the condition to prevent the contact bodies from penetrating and overrunning each other has been taken into consideration. Practical application to contact problem is extrusion in which bodies are sliding along the contact boundary.

This study is to trace the change of stream shape using the past series of aerial photographs, and to compare the land use changes of riparian area along the stream. For the Gyeongan national stream, aerial photographs of 1966, 1981 and 2000 were selected and ortho photographs were made with interior orientation and exterior orientation, respectively. As apparent changes of the stream, the consolidated reaches of stream with levee construction were straightened and their stream widths were widened. Especially the stream width of inlet part of Paldang lake was widened almost twice because of the rise of water level by dam construction in 1974. The land use maps (1966, 1981,2000) of riparian areas were also made, respectively and classified into 6 categories (water, forest, agricultural land, urban area, road, sandbar) by digitizing. The area of forest and agricultural land decreased and urban area increased as the stream maintenance was performed.
Nickel base superalloys are widely used for high temperature applications due to heat resisting capability and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Superalloys with many strengthening alloying elements are frequently used in powder form to alleviate harmful effects of alloy segregation. HIP (hot isostatic pressing) and DB (diffusion bonding) as a form of solid-state bonding process is used to make turbine components, such as integrated turbine rotors. HIP/DB process requires many technical overcomes related to dimensional changes as well as microstructural control. In this research, HIP/DB process for nickel base superalloys, Udimet 720 and MM 247, were investigated with a view to control the dimensional change during the consolidation process. Simple disc-shaped cans were used to select the conceptual die design for the control of the dimensional change especially in radial direction. The change in the shape of consolidated shape was investigated using commercial FE code with constitutive equations fur low temperature plasticity deformation.

The shape retention finishing provides a fabric for easiness of no-ironing after laundering. In spite of the obvious importance of the new finishing treatment, few systematic studies have been performed on the handle of the fabrics finished by the durable press process. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationships among the mechanical properties, durable press conditions, primary hand values and the total hand value of the fabrics finished by shape retention process. In this experiment, durable press grade of unfinished fabrics decreased below 2.5, but those of finished fabrics maintained above 4, but the mechanical properties of finished fabrics did not change significantly after laundering. In finished fabrics, D.P. value were correlated with mechanical properties, but had little effects with H.V. and T.H.V. Since the evaluation of the effect of durable press process was done with the naked eyes and standard sample, we could not know exactly change o( mechanical properties, but trace the change of mechanical properties which gave influences on the durable press effects by using KES-FB System.

Three-dimensional numerical analyses of mechanical ventilation system in vent shaft of subway in operation are carried out in relation with the different air flow passage of vent shaft and two ventilation operation modes of push/pull, The ventilation characteristics of vent shaft with regard to the shape change are evaluated. And the air flow rate through the vent shaft by ventilation system is measured within subway in operation to assess the accuracy and applicability of the numerical analysis method. The decrease of air flow rate due to vent-shaft change are between 0.7 to 2.2% in the cases examined.
It is important to model the mechanical structure precisely and reasonably in predicting the dynamic characteristics, controlling the vibration, and designing the structural dynamics. In the finite element modeling, the errors can be contained from the physical parameters, the approximation of the boundary conditions, and the element modeling, From the dynamic test. more precise dynamic characteristics can be obtained. Model updating using parameter modification is appropriate when the design parameter is used to analyze the input parameter like finite element method. Finite element analysis for free-free-free-free(FFFF) and clamped-free-free-free(CFFF) plate with uniform area and shape change are carried out as model updating examples, Mass and stiffness matrices are updated by comparing test and analytical modal frequencies. The result shows that the updated frequencies become closer to the test frequencies.
