The results show that the human relationship area showed the highest, next were physical development, sexual culture and sexual ethics, and the last were sex health and sexual psychology. The Pearson's correlation between each area of knowledge and attitude on sex show a significant correlation statistically in the level of p<.001 in all areas. • Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a combination of chronic anovulation, obesity, and hyperandrogenism and can affect sexual function in women of reproductive age. It is also associated with endometrial cancer. Our aim was to evaluate the frequency and predisposing factors of sexual dysfunction in PCOS patients. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 16 married women with a definite diagnosis of PCOS were recruited. Sexual function was assessed in the domains of desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction and pain using the female sexual function index (FSFI) questionnaire. Patients were also assessed for mental health using the depression, anxiety and stress (DASS-21) questionnaire. Presence of hirsutism was assessed using the Ferriman-Gallwey (FG) scoring system. Demographic data were obtained from patients during in-person interview. Results: Sexual dysfunction was present in 62.5% of patients with the domains of arousal and lubrication particularly affected (93.8% and 87.5%, respectively). Patients with symptoms of depression and anxiety were significantly more likely to suffer sexual dysfunction than those without these symptoms (p=0.04 and p=0.03 respectively). Patients with stress symptoms reported higher orgasm dysfunction than those without (p=0.02). No significant difference in any of the FSFI score domains was observed between patients with and without hirsutism. Conclusions: PCOS patients markedly suffer from sexual dysfunction and therefore it seems appropriate to be screened for intervention. Poor mental health conditions that may be the result of infertility or other complications of PCOS should also be considered as curable causes of sexual dysfunction in these patients.

  • Objectives: This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of social support on the relationship between the viewing of sensational videos of idol stars through the mass media and the sexual openness of adolescents. Methods: This study used the 'Study on countermeasures against sexual commodification of adolescents through mass media in the smart era' conducted by the 'Korea Youth Policy Institute' in 2014 for the entire country as the main data. Variables consisted of socio-demographic characteristics of study subjects, video viewing, social support, and sexual openness. For data analysis, SPSS ver 23.0 program was used. Results: As a result of comparing the averages, male students (20.40) had higher sexual openness than female students (18.67), and high school students (20.27) had higher sexual openness than middle school students (18.05) at school level. By grade level, sexual openness increased from the first year of middle school (17.47) to the third year of high school (20.82) (p<0.001). In order to verify the mediating effect of video viewing on the effect of adolescent social support on sexual openness, 3-step mediated regression analysis and Sobel test were conducted. As a result, video viewing had a significant effect on sexual openness through social support (p<0.001). Conclusion: Rather than obscuring the environment of mass media unconditionally, creating an atmosphere according to the tendency of realistic social support and reinforcing emotional education will help prevent the adverse effects of reckless sexualization of adolescents.

Method : Questionnaire survey on cognitions and experiences about sexual harassment was done on 3125 elementary school students from seven elementary schools in Busan area from January to March, 2002. Data analysis was done with SPSS (ver 10.0). Results : Though 82% of the students have ever herd about sexual harassment previously, but self assessment of 'well-known' was only 5%. About 40% of them have ever experienced audio-visual sexual materials mainly through PC (18%), media (14%), etc. And, 60% of them have ever educated about sexual harassment. In cognitions, they agreed 'unwanted touch', 'intentional showing his (her) own body', 'send lewd mails and pictures', but disagreed 'ask massage from aged', 'gaudy joke' as one of sexual harassment. In attitudes, 'no response', 'defense with friends and family', 'express unpleasantness apparently' were desirable pattern, instead, 'his (her) own responsibility', 'problem only between person concerned', 'neglect is the best way' were undesirable. About 24% of them have ever experienced at least one of the fifteen types of sexual harassment with major types of lewd mails pictures (11%), hugging (5%), ask massage (4.7%) and unwanted touch (3.3%). The experience by gender was higher in girls (25.0%) than boys (22.4%) with no statistical significance. The mean level of cognition and attitude out of one hundred was $70.3{\pm}28.1$ and $73.5{\pm}15.9$, respectively. The mean frequency of experience was $0.4{\pm}1.1$ times. The level of cognition and attitude was higher in girls, 6th graders, and in ever educated group (p<0.001). Conclusions : The cognition level of elementary school students about sexual harassment assessed considerable. And, they also experienced several types of sexual harassment, though not too much. Therefore, compatible education program let them able to protect themselves from sexual harassment should be developed and applied even in early school age.

Among the 450 subjects excluding those with missing values, a questionnaire of dating violence experience was applied to 317 college students who answered that they had a friend of the opposite sex, and variables and prediction factors related to dating violence experiences were identified. The statistical methods used were descriptive statistics, x2-test, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and binary logistic regression analysis.
