Purpose - Mobile devices, especially mobile terminals capable of telecommunication and wireless connectivity, are leading the advancements in consumer electronics. Digital convergence drives the functions of various devices, such as cellular phones, MP3 players, personal digital assistants, and gaming, into a single device. This trend would continue and applications such as digital audio and video streaming (including personalized content delivery mechanisms) would soon be on a handheld device. As customers want mobile convergence devices, manufacturers are driving new initiatives in the emerging mobile device market. Given the roles played by device design and service content in user satisfaction of a mobile convergence device, this study focuses on identifying and measuring the constructs for the process by which user satisfaction is achieved. This study synthesizes the expectation-disconfirmation paradigm with empirical theories in user satisfaction. Device and service levels are separated, and nine key constructs for user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices are proposed. Insight into this process could help web-based businesses to improve user satisfaction, thus enhancing the effectiveness of e-commerce for sellers and buyers. Research design, data, methodology - This study draws on three users of mobile convergence devices as examples. To test there search model and hypotheses, survey questionnaires were sent to 607 mobile device users. Mobile device users were initially identified from several members, and subjects were randomly drawn. Data from 577 survey responses were finally analyzed. The unit of measurement and analysis in this research study is at a personal level. Results - The measurements for the constructs were developed and tested in a two-phase study. In the first phase, the device and service dimensions were identified, and instruments for measuring them were developed and tested. In the second phase, using the salient dimensions of the device and service as the formulating first-order factors, instruments were developed and empirically tested to measure satisfaction of the device and service. In measuring satisfaction of mobile convergence devices, the critical tasks are to identify the key constructs of such user satisfaction and to develop validated instruments to measure them. Hence, the results of this study have immediate implications for businesses and for research in user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices. Conclusions - This study provides reliable instruments for operationalizing key constructs in the analysis of user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices within the expectation-disconfirmation paradigm. Hence, convergence device makers will be able to examine whether their websites meet their customers' expectations by examining the device aspect of the mobile convergence device customers, and the service aspect expectations and disconfirmation. Moreover, the introduction of expectation and disconfirmation constructs brings the marketing aspect of convergence devices into focus for such retailers, an aspect crucial to the effective design of websites for online businesses. In addition, this study provides the metrics required to initiate future studies on user satisfaction of mobile convergence devices.
Currently media consumption over fixed/mobile Internet is mostly conducted by adaptive media streaming technology such as DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP), which is an ISO/IEC MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group) standard, or some other technologies similar to DASH. All these heavily depend on the HTTP caches that ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are obliged to provide sufficiently to make sure fast enough Web services. As a result, as the number of media streaming users increases, ISPs' burden for HTTP cache has been greatly increased rather than CDN (Content Delivery Network) providers' server burden. Hence ISPs charge traffic cost to CDN providers to compensate for the increased cost of HTTP caches. Recently in order to reduce the traffic cost of CDN providers, P2P (Peer-to-Peer)-assisted DASH system was proposed and a peer selection algorithm that maximally reduces CDN provides' traffic cost was investigated for this system. This algorithm, however, tends to concentrate the burden upon the selected peer. This paper proposes a new peer selection algorithm that distributes the burden among multiple peers while maintaining the proper reduction level of the CDN providers' cost. Through implementation of the new algorithm in a Web-based media streaming system using WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) standard APIs, it demonstrates its effectiveness with experimental results.

With explosive growth in the area of the Internet and IT services, various types of digital contents are generated and circulated, for instance, as converted into digital-typed, secure electronic records or reports, which have high commercial value, e-tickets and so on. However, because those digital contents have commercial value, high-level security should be required for delivery between a consumer and a provider with non face-to-face method in online environment. As a digital contents, an e-ticket is a sort of electronic certificate to assure ticket-holder's proprietary rights of a real ticket. This paper focuses on e-ticket as a typical digital contents which has real commercial value. For secure delivery and use of digital contents in on/off environment, this paper proposes that 1) how to generate e-tickets in a remote e-ticket server, 2) how to authenticate a user and a smart card holding e-tickets for delivery in online environment, 3) how to save an e-ticket transferred through network into a smart card, 4) how to issue and authenticate e-tickets in offline, and 5) how to collect and discard outdated or used e-tickets.

Emerged in early 1990s, so called 'Quick service' industry that provides faster delivery of small parcels than regular mail service accelerated use of motorcycles. As the economic grows, use of large bicycles (more than 250CC displacement) for leisure purpose has also rapidly increased. Traffic crash data clearly shows the increasing trend in motorcycle crashes. The ratio of motorcycle involved crashes out of total has increased from 5.7% in 2005 to 8.3% in 2008, and similar trend can be found in fatalities ratio as well. In this study, we assess the level of risk when motorcycles operate on motorways by analyzing traffic rule violation ratio, lane change behaviour, driving speed behaviors of motorcycles in Uninterrupted Traffic Flow Facilities and using PC-CRASH simulation we also calculate car shock impulses occurred when an accident happens. Analysis result shows that the motorcycle is different from the car in terms of lane change timing and average speed, and also shows motorcycle drivers tends to conduct more improper driving behavior particularly when traffic is congested. The results from this study could be usefully applied when the law enforcement agent decides whether bicycles shall be allowed to use motorways. The result could be also utilized as fundamental information for further study of bicycles' driving behavior.

Korean government is preparing the long-term care financing and delivery system in order to cope with rapid population aging. The system should be designed to provide demented patients with an appropriate services that the patients want to take, and considered to be necessary for them. In this regard, this study aims to analyse empirically a relationship between the types of long-term care services that demented patients wanted to take and they actually received during 2004. The caregivers of 609 dementia patients, who were randomly selected in a manner of proportional allocation from a nationwide claim database of the Korean National Health Insurance Corporation, were interviewed in September, 2005. Independent variables include socio-demographic characteristics, Activities of Daily Living(ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living(IADL). To explore the correspondence of the types of long-term care services that demented patients wanted to take and that they actually received, and its affecting factors, we conducted chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Main findings are as follows. First, while only 20% of study subjects wanted home services as a long-term care services, those who wanted to use the long-term care facilities and general hospital were 37%, 43% respectively. Second, the correspondence rate was just 38% on average, and extremely low in the demented patients who wanted to use long-term care facilities. Third, the demented patients who resided in urban areas and received relatively high level of education showed high correspondence rate. Fourth, the high ADL score was closely related to low correspondence rate.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors influencing satisfaction level of consumers using internet shopping mall to purchase agricultural products and to check relationship between satisfaction factor and intention in current situation of fast diffusion of market size for agricultural product e-commerce. Purchase motivation in internet shopping mall was shown to be the reason of convenience rather than confidence degree for agricultural product consumers. Consumer satisfaction factor of agricultural product internet shopping mall can be distinguished by confidence in service quality, diversity of products, delivery and customer support, and security. The result of this research will help us understand the determination factor of consumer satisfaction and their intention about internet shopping, while finding out what consumers expect from internet shopping when purchasing agricultural products.
Military officials in Korea are forced to change jobs early due to the retirement age after active service. Measures are needed in view of the 55% average employment rate of middle and long term soldiers during the last five years. The last government of Park Geun-hye push ahead creating of 50,000 jobs in discharged soldier with policy, but the results were not great. Therefore, it is time to drastically change the government's efforts to create large-scale jobs for discharged soldiers. It is necessary to break away from the traditional ways of expanding opportunities for employment at the academic level. So it became necessary for discharged soldiers to actively review ways to build their own organizations. For such reasons, this study presents a measure to create job through food service, Security personnel training and Manpower provision business, Special Soldier Control and Training Center Operation business, Han River Water Cleaning Project, Caring business, and delivery business by establishing their own social cooperation to create jobs for discharged soldiers.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to explore healthcare providers' experiences in managing the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on healthcare services. Methods: A qualitative study was conducted with 34 healthcare professionals across 15 districts in Bangladesh. Among the participants, 24 were health managers or administrators stationed at the district or upazila (sub-district) level, and 10 were clinicians providing care to patients with COVID-19. The telephone interviews were conducted in Bangla, audio-recorded, transcribed, and then translated into English. Data were analyzed thematically. Results: Most interviewees identified a range of issues within the health system. These included unpreparedness, challenges in segregating COVID-19 patients, maintaining isolation and home quarantine, a scarcity of intensive care unit beds, and ensuring continuity of service for non-COVID-19 patients. The limited availability of personal protective equipment, a shortage of human resources, and logistical challenges, such as obtaining COVID-19 tests, were frequently cited as barriers to managing the pandemic. Additionally, changes in the behavior of health service seekers, particularly increased aggression, were reported. The primary motivating factor for healthcare providers was the willingness to continue providing health services, rather than financial incentives. Conclusions: The COVID-19 pandemic presented a unique set of challenges for health systems, while also providing valuable lessons in managing a public health crisis. To effectively address future health crises, it is crucial to resolve a myriad of issues within the health system, including the inequitable distribution of human resources and logistical challenges.

This study was an attempt to encourage the development of a rehabilitation delivery system and programs as a substitute service for hospitalization on the case of car accident patients, such as hospital based home health care nursing services. Various substitute services for hospitalization are required to curtail the length of stay for inpatients who were hospitalized with car accident compensation insurance. It focused on developing an estimation an early discharge day for car accident inpatients based on detailed statements of treatment for 111 inpatients who were hospitalized at the General Hospital in 1997. This study had four specific purposes as follows. First. to find out the utilization of medical services. Second, to estimate the time of early discharge and income increasing effect based on early discharge for those patients. Third, to identify the factors affecting total medical expenditure and the length of stay for those inpatients. Forth, to figure out the need of utilizing home health care nursing service for accident patients. In order to analyze the length of stay and medical expenditure for inpatients who were hospitalized due to car accidents, the authors conducted micro- and macro-analysis of medical and medical expenditure records. Micro-analysis was done by nominal group discussion of 4 expertise with the critical criteria, such as a decrease in the amount of treatment after surgery, treatments, tests, drugs and changes in the test consistency, drug methods, vital signs, start of ROM exercise, doctor's order, patient's outside visiting ability, and stable conditions. In addition to identifying variables affecting medical expenditure, and the length of stay and income effect due to early discharge day, the data was analyzed with a multiple regression analysis and linear regression analysis model by SPSS-PC for windows and Excell program. Results of this study were as follows. First. the mean length of stay was 50.3 days. whereas the mean length of stay due to early discharge was 34.3 days at the hospital. The estimation of time of early discharge depended on the length of stay. The longer the length of stay, the longer the length of time of early discharge : for instance a length of stay under 10 days was estimated as correlating to a mean length of stay of 6.6 days and early discharge of 6.5. The mean length of stay was 217.4 days and the time of early discharge was 110.1 respectively. The mean medical expenditure per day was found to be 169.085 Won and the mean medical expenditure per day showed negative linear trends according to the length of stay at the hospital. The estimation results of the income effect due to being discharged 16 days early was around 2,244,000 won per bed. However. this sum does not represent the real benefits resulting from early discharge, but rather the income increasing amount without considering medical prime cost in the general hospital. Therefore, further analysis is required on the cost containments and benefits as turn over rate per bed as the medical prime costs. The length of stay was most significant and was positive to the total medical expenditure, as expected. Surgery and patient's residential area was also an important variable in explaining medical expenditure. The level of complications was the most significant variable in explaining the length of stay. There was a high level for need a home health care nursing service which further supports early discharge for accident patients. In addition, when the patient was discharged. they needed follow up care for complications suffered during the car accident. $86.8\%$ of discharged patients responded that they needed home health services after early discharge. From these research findings, the following suggestions have been drawn. Strategies on a health care delivery system must be developed in order to focus on the consumer's needs and being planned for 21 century health policy in Korea. Community based intermediate facilities or home health care should be developed for rehabilitation services as a substitute for hospitalization in order to shorten the length of stay would be. A hospital based home health care nursing service. it would be available immediately to utilize by patients who want rehabilitation services as a substitute for hospitalization with the cooperation of car insurance companies.
The purpose of this study is to research the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care for postpartal women and to provide the basic data for improvement of service in a postpartum care center. The respondents of this study were 100 women of 6 postpartum care centers within a C province from Oct. 20 to Dec. 10, 2000. The instruments of measure were used for collecting data on the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care developed by the researcher. Data analysis consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, t-test, ANOVA which are calculated by Scheffe test and Cronbach's alpha which is used as a reliance level by using a SPSS-PC+. The results of the study were as follows:1. The average score for the degree of recognition of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) for postpartal women was $3.09{\pm}.31$, and they recognized that it was important. The methods which were ranked were as follows; Protecting the body from a harmful state, invigorating the body by the argumentation of heat and avoidance of cold, handling with whole heart, and keeping clean, resting without working, eating well. 2. The average score for the degree of performance of traditional postpartal care (Sanhujori) for postpartal women was $2.81{\pm}.31$, and they performed that it was important, too. The methods which were ranked were as follows; Protecting the body from a harmful state, invigorating the body by the augumentation of heat and avoidance of cold, eating well, handling with whole heart, and keeping clean, resting without working. 3. There were significant differences statistically (paired-t=-8.39, p=.000) of the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) for the postpartal women. The degree of recognition was higher than the degree of performance. So, the recognition of traditional postpartal care (Sanhujori) was higher than the performance of it. 4. There were no statistical differences of the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) among the postpartal women's age, religion, job, educational background, delivery frequency, delivery method or the sex of baby. So, the Characteristics of the respondents were not influenced as far as the degree of recognition & performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori). 5. There were significant differences statistically of the degree of performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) among the 5 postpartum care centers except 1 postpartum care center(p<.01). So, the recognition of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) was higher than the performance of traditional postpartal care(Sanhujori) in the 5 postpartum care centers. But there was performed as good as recognition in only 1 postpartum care center.
