전자산업의 서비스부품에 대한 국제로지스틱스 연구

  • This study is to investigate global logistics strategies of Korean electronics companies. in terms of service parts. According to the survey, Korean electronics companies were pursuing multi-level global logistics network such as global, continental, national, regional and service center echelon for improving the efficiency of service parts global logistics. Especially there was a tendency of developing new continental distribution centers. And the companies were exploiting efficiency through inventory control by multi-level echelon, demand forecasting by the product life cycle and supply and service lead time management. But there were some insufficient factors for the efficiency of global logistics operation at the construction of worldwide real time logistics information system and pursuit of the efficiency on the whole network including subcontractors. For the future competitive advantage of the Korean electronics companies, the following are suggested: 1) the establishment of arranged logistics channel adjusting each company's global strategy, 2) the construction of worldwide real time logistics information system, 3) the reengineering of all logistics procedures such as order processing, shipping, inventory control, etc., 4) the enhancement of the ratio of the supply from the external companies and the internal manufacturing subsidiaries at each continent, 5) and the pursuit of operational internalization of external subcontractors.

분해옵션 포함 서비스부품 로트사이징 휴리스틱 (A Heuristic for Service-Parts Lot-Sizing with Disassembly Option)

  • Due to increasing awareness on the treatment of end-of-use/life products, disassembly has been a fast-growing research area of interest for many researchers over recent decades. This paper introduces a novel lot-sizing problem that has not been studied in the literature, which is the service-parts lot-sizing with disassembly option. The disassembly option implies that the demands of service parts can be fulfilled by newly manufactured parts, but also by disassembled parts. The disassembled parts are the ones recovered after the disassembly of end-of-use/life products. The objective of the considered problem is to maximize the total profit, i.e., the revenue of selling the service parts minus the total cost of the fixed setup, production, disassembly, inventory holding, and disposal over a planning horizon. This paper proves that the single-period version of the considered problem is NP-hard and suggests a heuristic by combining a simulated annealing algorithm and a linear-programming relaxation. Computational experiment results show that the heuristic generates near-optimal solutions within reasonable computation time, which implies that the heuristic is a viable optimization tool for the service parts inventory management. In addition, sensitivity analyses indicate that deciding an appropriate price of disassembled parts and an appropriate collection amount of EOLs are very important for sustainable service parts systems.

IT와 물류서비스 관계에서 커뮤니케이션의 역할에 관한 연구 (The Role of Communication in Linking IT and Logistics Service)

  • Product-related services in manufacturing industry are different from typical services in service industry. Product-related services ensure proper product functioning, provide additional repurchase, and offer attractive margin Product-related services in manufacturing industry are not core activity but taking supporting roles, while services in typical service industry are core parts. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of communication in linking IT and product-related logistics service in manufacturing industry. The relationships among IT, communication, logistics service and business performance are explored using a path analysis. The empirical research reveals that higher degree of IT usability leads to increased communication, and in turn, communication affects logistics service, and ultimately business performance. In addition, this study shows communication plays an intermediate role in linking IT to logistics service.

Factors Influencing Digital Transformation of Logistics Service Providers: A Case Study in Thailand

  • This research explores and develops digital transformation factors influencing the logistics service-provider sector in Thailand while also examining the impact sustainability factors associated with digital transformation. Divided into two parts, Part one of the theoretical study framework covers 21 factors relating to logistics, including drivers, objectives, implications, and success factors. The second part concerns 23 factors associated with logistics sustainability, including economic, environmental, and social aspects. This quantitative empirical research was conducted using an online questionnaire instrument, and a structural equation modeling (SEM) technique was used to test the proposed model. The findings from 545 samples collected between August and November 2020 from respondents working in logistics service-provider companies in Thailand show that digital transformation drivers and objectives seem likely to impact success factors and implications in digital transformation positively. Digital transformation success factors also positively impact logistics sustainability. In comparison, logistics sustainability has a significant impact on Thailand's logistics service-provider sector's economic, environmental, and social aspects. Lastly, this research highlights the significance of digital transformation success factors and extends the current knowledge about digital transformation factors and their potential impact on logistics sustainability.

서비사이징 활성화방안에 관한 연구 - 자동차 부품을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Revitalization of Servicizing: Focused on the Case of Car Parts)

  • Servicizing is defined 'not as to sell the products but as to sell the functions'. This study was done on the methods for revitalization as the object items of navigation & antenna among car parts. The direct door-to-door survey was done for 101 enterprises (direct-management stores) and percentage & t-test were done for statistics. The results can be summarized like followings. First, PR on servicizing is required. Second the optimized methods can be obtained by incorporating reuse & recycling distribution systems of servicizing with the existing recovery system Reuse distribution system can be constructed rationally because inventory control is being done correct1y with the periodic recovery. Finally, as for the analysis on the relative importance of main factors of servicizing, it shows that supports & providing the concrete frame of the government & local autonomous body are important.

  • 기존에는 제품의 원부자재 조달, 생산, 유통, 판매 등 기업과 고객을 연결하는 공급사슬관리의 대상이 순방향 물류(forward logistics)에 초점을 두어 왔으나, 그 범위가 역방향 물류(reverse logistics)로 확대되고 있다. 그러나 해외 선진기업들에 비해 국내 기업들의 역 공급사슬(reverse supply chain) 관리 능력은 강대적으로 저조한 수준에 머물러 있으며, 구체적으로 이를 수행할 수 있는 체계적인 인프라를 구축하고 있지 못한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 순방향 물류에 광범위하게 적용되고 있는 RFID 기술을 적용하여 포장, 보관, 하역, 운송 등 기존의 물류관리에 필요한 필수정보는 물론, 반품, 회수, 폐기, 재활용 등 친환경 공급사슬 관리를 수행하기 위한 정보를 제공하는 서비스 플랫폼을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 역방향 물류에 관한 문헌연구 및 선진사례를 분석하고, 국내외 추진현황을 검토하며 향후 적용되어야 할 역 공급사슬 관리를 위한 서비스 플랫폼을 제안한다.

  • Customer centered supply chain Management is becoming a very important issue for manufacturing and distribution company. Increasingly, leading companies improve their competitiveness by shorting the time to delivery from warehousing to delivering, increasing the level of customer service. They also do their best to collaborate with suppliers and customers based on the information sharing. This case introduces a integrated approach to develop a logistics automation and information system for the spare parts distribution center of L electronics. We pursue to optimize the supply chain by implementing intelligent logistics system which has the capabilities of responding to the changes in market demands. This would provide many implications to the clients in solving logistics problems and secure superior competitiveness.

Empirical Study of Multimodal Transport Route Choice Model in Freight Transport between Mongolia and Korea

  • According to the globalization of world economy on distribution and sales, logistics and transportation parts are playing an important role. Especially, they have to decide what is the key factor of route choice model and how to choose the right transport route in multimodal transport system. By considering the key factors in rote choice model for freight forwarders between Mongolia and Korea, this paper propose 4 main factors: Cost, Delivery time, Freight and Logistics service with 13 sub factors. The importance of factors is surveyed base on AHP through interview with freight forwarders. In results, the empirical insights about current status of Mongolian forwarders are provided with different factors between transportation modes. Expecially, the Time factor is a role factor to choose transport route for air transportation forwarders.

  • Reverse logistics (RL) covering the flow of products/parts in a reverse direction from product returns to product disposal. Companies are faced with a decision on whether to manage RL in house or to outsource it to a RL third party service provider (3PSP). A survey was conducted in 2004 to study RL outsourcing practices. Through the survey, various RL functions outsourced in industry are identified, and the factors considered to decide between in-house vs. outsourcing RL management are studied along with their importance. In addition, this research presents the performance measures of a 3PSP and problems faced by companies while managing RL in-house and outsourcing.

  • According to globalization of world economy on distribution and sales, logistics and transportation parts are play important role. Especially, it important to know and study how to choose right transport route and which is the key factor of route choice model in multimodal transport system. Thus this study aims to consider 4 main factors: cost, delivery time, freight, and logistics service factors additionally dividing into 13 sub factors and object is forwarders between Mongolia and Korean freight transport. The survey is based on AHP through interview with company officials. The paper provides empirical insights about current status of Mongolian forwarders and difference of the important factors between transportation modes. Result shows that time factor is role factor to choose transport route and then cost factors. Additionally, this study shows 2 different route choose factors between air transport and shipping transport forwarders.
