  • The shipbuilding and offshore plant industry of Korea is important and leads Korea's economic growth, designated as the 1st to 4th export items in Korea in terms of export contribution over the period from 2011 to 2015. This study proposes ways to improve the national competitiveness of Korean shipyards in the global offshore drilling market by reviewing a business model for providing an integrated offshore drilling commissioning service in Korea. This commissioning service model, which was attempted in 2014, was reviewed, and a new proposed business model for overcoming the limitations of the previous model and activating further business was evaluated. As a result of an economic evaluation, it was found that a 150-meter water depth model is economically more effective. As the number of integrated commissions increased from 2 to 5 times per year, NPV, IRR and B/C ratios increased and the fee per use decreased. Therefore, for offshore drilling facilities constructed and delivered in Korea, it will be necessary to encourage integrated offshore commissioning.

  • Korea economy's latent growth rate has already been decreased about 4%. During 1983-1989, the latent growth rate was 8%, before the foreign exchange crisis, 1990-1997 was 6.7%, and during $2000{\sim}2004$, it had been decreased 4.4%. The latent growth rate means economy growth rate which one nation can achieve capital, labor, and factors as applying these. Our economy growth rate was 8% in 1980s, but it had been decreased about 6.7% during $1990{\sim}1997$, after 2000, it remarkably decreased 4.8% which shows weakness of our economy's strength. This study attempts to investigate about export growth factor of venture company in our nation's growth that depends on export. This thesis studied the companies continuance and growth in external environment's regular correlation and casual relationship which surround company's factors and internal. Also, the external environment, which surrounds company, can be thought that company can't control itself, so that the company's continuance and growth can be decided because of its internal primary factors. This thesis establishes and analyzes the study model that how factors can affect to company's growth.

  • Inchon Port is the second largest import-export port of Korea, and has the point at issue such as the excessive logistics cost because of the limits of handling capacity and the chronic demurrage. The purpose of this paper is to develop the simulation program as a long-term strategic support tool, considering the dual dock system and the TOC(Terminal Operation Company) system executed since March, 1997 in Inchon Port. The basic input parameters such as arrival intervals, cargo tons, service rates are analyzed and the probability density functions for these parameters are estimated. From the simulation model, it is possible to estimate the demurrage status through analyzing various scenarios and to establish the long-term port strategic plan.

  • This study is to analyze the economic effects of tariff reduction using computable general equilibrium(CGE) model. We set up the social accounting matrix for five-base equilibrium year. Our main findings are as follows. First, the impact of tariff reduction on GDP was different from time to time. It meas that the differentiated economics structure was affected by tariff reduction. As our economic grew up, the impact of tariff reduction was measured much higher. Second, until 1995 the impact of tariff reduction on total export and import was increased, then while 1995 the increase was dropped. This is because we reduced the tariff by the WTO negotiations. Third, the tariff reduction affected the price of imported goods, so it contributed to substitute effects between domestic and imported goods. According to these results, we found out the importance of the linkage between the tariff reduction and economic structure.

  • Purpose - Using trade data from 2008 to 2019, this study analyzes the impact of trade facilitation on China's agricultural exports under the RCEP framework using a gravity model based on the level of trade facilitation in 13 RCEP countries. Design/methodology - This study constructs a complete set of trade facilitation index systems, comprehensively measures the trade facilitation level of RCEP member countries, and uses a gravity model to verify the critical role of trade facilitation level in enhancing the trade volumes of RCEP member countries. Findings - We found that trade facilitation has a significant impact on China's agricultural exports as a whole. The effect of each primary indicator varies in magnitude, with finance and e-commerce (F) having the most significant impact, followed by customs efficiency (C) and infrastructure development (1); the institutional environment has no significant effect. Originality/value - This study analyzes the impact of trade facilitation on China's agricultural exports from the perspective of exports, and uses the latest data to study the degree of the impact of trade facilitation in importing countries. Measures to jointly enhance trade facilitation among member countries under the RCEP framework are proposed.

  • The study aims to estimate interregional trade coefficient of service industry using the gravity model. The gravity model has been widely used for prediction of the level of human interaction between two regions which is positively related to attraction of them and negatively related to the distance between them. To apply the gravity model for explaining the interregional trade flow of service industry, the choice of proper proxy variables which represent a dependent variable and independent variables is most important. However, the literature shows that there are few studies on this issue. Four models concerned to the choice of proxy variables are considered. Finally, this paper employs the least-squares regression analysis to test the model's goodness-of-fit, and suggests the most appropriate model based on the result from the analysis. The result shows that the interregional trade of service industry in regional input-output table developed by The Bank of Korea is desirable as a dependent variable, the service industry output of export region, the population of import region, and the spatial distance between regions are desirable as independent variables.

  • In respect complication, group and period, the foreign direct investment of korea is composed of various factors. This paper studies focus on estimating the determinants of foreign direct investment of korea. The region of analysis consist of 7 groups, that is, Asia, Europe, Central and South America, Oceania, Africa, Middle East. Analyzing period be formed over a 67 point(2002. 6${\sim}$2007. 12). In this paper dependent variable setting up an amount of foreign direct investment, explanatory(independent) variables composed of gross domestic product, a balance of current accounts, the foreign exchange rate, employment to population ratio, an average of the rate of operation(the manufacturing industry), consumer price index, the amount of export, wages(a service industry). For an actual proof analysis, LIMDEP 8.0 software, analysis model is random effect in TWECR The result of estimating the determinants of foreign direct investment of korea provides empirical evidences of significance positive relationships between employment to population ratio and wages(a service industry). However this study provides empirical evidences of significance negative relationships between the foreign exchange rate, censurer price index and the amount of export. The explanatory variables, that is, an average of the rate of operation(the manufacturing industry), gross domestic product and a balance of current accounts, are non-significance variables.

  • The global intelligent transport systems (ITS) market is experiencing rapid growth, and domestic ITS companies' efforts to extend its business abroad are steadily increasing. However, due to the burden of costs associated with the overseas expansion and the lack of strategy for local market, domestic companies' contracts for global businesses are far short of the technology. Although the government is actively promoting Korean enterprises' participation to overseas business, it has obvious limits due to the lack of its specialized strategy. This study established a customized export model for the countries in which Korean companies want to enter, and developed a strategy to advance into the local market.

  • This research is about global investment for managing the important position, what Korea is doing in World's main market. Considering there are some differences between developed countries' model and developing countries' model in doing direct overseas investment, they target to get political agreement and develop the new invest plan and strategy by understanding changes of Korean manufacturing companies in direct overseas investment between 2001 and 2008 and analyzing the change of yearly investment motivation. The result from this result let us know that company should develop their own idea for their competitive advantage by doing direct overseas investment. And, the overseas investment, which was already done in other countries, 1. Review its realities and tendency in terms of investing countries, industries, and its scale and then Set up an actual model, based on strategic combination of investing location select and determination of Korean manufacturing companies. 2. Analyze how the situational factors have influenced and what factors would be considered for direct overseas investment. From the analyzing result, even though it is fairly true that raising wage and getting resources, and developing alternating industries for export had influenced at the beginning, overseas investing companies' policy will be influenced by the results from studying marketing-pursuit type, local producing and manufacturing by using low-wage people for local sale, and situation for changing investing tendency as service industry.
