This paper designs and implements fault-tolerant server of meta server for shared filesystem (SANfs) in SAN environment. SANfs is the filesystem that many clients can share data in Network-attached storage in SAN environment and meta server is the server that processes file operation in SANfs. The focus of this paper is the implementation of fault-tolerant server of meta server in SANfs. In the event of a meta server, meta server failovers to a fault-tolerant server where its processing continues seamlessly. If meta server doesn't restore, fault-tolerant server searches reliable client and makes another fault-tolerant server and work as meta server. Heartbeat monitors meta server and shadow server and controls them.
The core services in cloud computing environment are SaaS (Software as a Service), Paas (Platform as a Service) and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). Among these three core services server virtualization belongs to IaaS and is a service technology to reduce the server maintenance expenses. Normally, the primary purpose of sever virtualization is building and maintaining a new well functioning server rather than using several existing servers, and in improving the various system performances. Often times this presents an issue in that there might be a need to increase expenses in order to build a new server. This study intends to use grid service architecture for a form of server virtualization which utilizes the existing servers rather than introducing a new server. More specifically, the proposed system is to enhance system performance and to reduce the corresponding expenses, by adopting a scheduling algorithm among the distributed servers and the constituents for grid computing thereby supporting the server virtualization service. Furthermore, the proposed server virtualization system will minimize power management by adopting the sleep severs, the subsidized servers and the grid infrastructure. The power maintenance expenses for the sleep servers will be lowered by utilizing the ACPI (Advanced Configuration & Power Interface) standards with the purpose of overcoming the limits of server performance.
HTTP/1.1 standard reduces latencies and overhead from closing and re-establishing connections by supporting persistent connections as a default, which encourage multiple transfers of objects over one connection. HTTP/1.1, however, does not define explicitly connection-closing time but specifies a certain fixed holding time model. This model may induce wasting server’s resource when server maintains connection with the idle-state client that requests no data for a certain time. This paper proposes the mechanism of a heuristic connection management supported by the client-side under persistent HTTP, in addition to HTTP/1.1’s fixed holding time model on server-side. The client exploits the tag information within transferred HTML page so that decides connection-closing time. As a result, the mechanism allows server to use server’s resource more efficiently without server’s efforts.
Today large corporations are constructing distributed server environment. Many corporations are respectively operating Web server, FTP server, Mail server and DB server on heterogeneous operation. However, there is the problem that a manager must manage each server individually. In this paper, we present distributed FTP server for log mining system on ACE. Proposed log mining system is based upon ACE (Adaptive Communication Environment) framework and data mining techniques. This system provides a united operation with distributed FTP server.
In modern society, there are WEB sites that provides information in various fields by many advances in IT technology. As the number of users accessing the Web increases, one server becomes unavailable, and multiple servers are deployed to provide the service. In addition, systems that control servers are required to manage multiple servers. However, server control systems in the existing market are mostly those that notify managers through SMS and apps when a server's down or a controlled port is closed. However, in case of servers that generate a lot of traffic, the Web server and the WAS are operated and managed each independently. The WEB and WAS provide service by connecting to each other. However, the connection between WEB and WAS may be disconnected due to various environmental factors. In this case, the existing control system can not determine whether the service is working properly. Even in the case of WEB and WAS of a server that is operated independently, there is a phenomenon that the existing control system does not know the problem even when the normal service is not provided due to environmental factors such as disconnection to DB. In this paper, we implemented a system to check the normal state of Web service using Web crawling to solve this problem.

Diverse types of malicious code such as evasive Server-side Polymorphic are developed and distributed in third party open markets. The suspicious new type of polymorphic malware has the ability to actively change and morph its internal data dynamically. As a result, it is very hard to detect this type of suspicious transaction as an evidence of Server-side polymorphic mobile malware because its C&C server was shut downed or an IP address of remote controlling C&C server was changed irregularly. Therefore, we implemented Simulated C&C Server to aggregate activated events perfectly from various Server-side polymorphic mobile malware. Using proposed Simulated C&C Server, we can proof completely and classify veiled server-side polymorphic malicious code more clearly.
Existing large-scale complex programs usually reside In a single computer, and the user has to be physically in contact with the computer. With the wide spread use of the internet, the need to carry out the design and analysis tasks geographically away from the main computer is increasing. In this paper existing Windows-based propeller design and analysis package is separated into the server-client modules and the protocol program is developed to implement the communication between multi-client computers and a single server computer. A new protocol packet is designed to use the Windows socket and the server/client programs control the receive/send operations using the information transmitted in the packet. Test runs show that the remote user, connected to the server computer through the internet only, can perform the required tasks.
In this paper, we study the problem of parallel machine scheduling considering the moving time of multiple servers. The parallel machine scheduling is to assign jobs to parallel machines so that the total completion time(makespan) is minimized. Each job has a setup phase, a processing phase and a removal phase. A processing phase is performed by a parallel machine alone while a setup phase and a removal phase are performed by both a server and a parallel machine simultaneously. A server is needed to move to a parallel machine for a setup phase and a removal phase. But previous researches have been done under the assumption that the server moving time is zero. In this study we have proposed an efficient algorithm for the problem of parallel machine scheduling considering multiple server moving time. We also have investigated experimentally how the number of servers and the server moving time affect the total completion time.

The mobile characteristics of the smart phone are well suited to on-the-site oriented services and are being utilized in a variety of ways. However, since most applications operate on a central server basis, Internet access is inevitable, and there are various problems such as an increase in server maintenance cost and security deterioration. Although researches have been proposed to utilize the smart phone itself as a server to improve it, these methods are based on downsizing the PC-based web server or modifying the smart phone kernel. These methods have the problems that a end user has to use the rooting, and they are not able to effectively utilize various communication means of a smart phone. In this paper, we propose a design and implementation of an application level smart phone web server. The server receives the document request from the remote via the Internet and in the local area using the WPAN. At this time, the web document is stored as an internal file structure of the smart phone application. We proposed the phttp protocol which uses server's phone number as ID for document request. Through the implementation, we analyzed the capacity and latency of stored data and its effectiveness is evaluated.
