Web mining techniques are often used to discover useful patterns from data log generated by Web servers for the purpose of web usage analysis. Yet traditional Web mining techniques do not reflect sufficiently sequential properties of Web log data. To address such weakness, we introduce a framework for analyzing Web access log data by using process mining techniques. To illustrate the proposed framework, we show the analysis of Web access log in a campus information system based on the framework and discuss the implication of the analysis result.
The Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) is a unique target to study the detail structures of molecular clouds and star-forming regions, due to its proximity and face-on orientation from us. Most part of the astrophysical subjects for the LMC have been investigated, but the magnetic field is still veiling despite its role in the evolution of the interstellar medium (ISM) and in the main force to influence the star formation process. Measuring polarization of the background stars behind interstellar medium allows us to describe the existence of magnetic fields through the polarization vector map. In this presentation, I introduce the near-infrared polarimetric results for the $39^{\prime}{\times}69^{\prime}$ field of the northeastern region of the LMC and the N159/N160 star-forming complex therein. The polarimetric observations were conducted at IRSF/SIRPOL 1.4 m telescope. These results allow us to examine both the global geometry of the large-scale magnetic field in the northeastern region and the close structure of the magnetic field in the complex. Prominent patterns of polarization vectors mainly follow dust emission features in the mid-infrared bands, which imply that the large-scale magnetic fields are highly involved in the structure of the dust cloud in the LMC. In addition, local magnetic field structures in the N159/N160 star-forming complex are investigated with the comparison between polarization vectors and molecular cloud emissions, suggesting that the magnetic fields are resulted from the sequential formation history of this complex. I propose that ionizing radiation from massive stellar clusters and the expanding bubble of the ionized gas and dust in this complex probably affect the nascent magnetic field structure.

This paper is concerned with the development of a GIS-based distribution system with service consideration. The proposed model could be used for a wide range of logistics applications in planning, engineering and operational purpose for logistics system. This research addresses the formulation of those complex prob1ems of two-echelon logistics system to plan the incorporating supply center locations and distribution problems based on GIS. We propose an integrated logistics model for determining the optimal patterns of supply centers and inventory allocations (customers) with a three-step sequential approach. 1) First step, Developing GIS-distance model and stochastic set-covering program to determine Optimel pattern of supply center location. 2) Second step, Optimal sector-clustering to support customers. 3) Third step, Optimal vehicle rouse scheduling based on GIS, GIS-VRP In this research we developed GUI-tree program, the GIS-VRP provide the vehicle to users and freight information in real time. We applied a set of sample examples to this model and demonstrated samp1e results. It has been found that the proposed model is potentially efficient and useful in solving multi-depot problem through examples. However the proposed model can provide logistics decision makers to get the best supply schedule.
Progressing to the iron deficiency anemia was experimentally induced in 4 clinically healthy dogs by repeated phlebotomy to characterize hematologic features, serum iron values, and RBC indices. Abnormal RBC morphologies were also evaluated semiquantitatively on Wright's-stained blood films. Hematologic abnormalities in early stage of anemia included decreased both hematocrit and hemoglobin, and reticulocytosis, with no changes in mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) were represented. In intermediate stage, decreased serum iron concentration with microcytosis and hypochromia were prominent. In late stage, red cell distribution width and Mentzer's index were out of reference ranges in the majority of dogs. In this study microcytic anemia was appeared at the hemoglobin range of 5.1-7.2 g/dl. On most sampling days, platelet counts and white blood cells were within the reference ranges, with some minor variations. Iron deficiency was not necessarily associated with microcytic anemia. Judging from the sequential changes of both MCV and MCHC, 3 patterns of anemia were sequentially observed: initially normocytic normochromic, intermediate normocytic hypochromic or normocytic normochormic, and finally microcytic hypochromic. The most frequent morphologic abnormalities were target cells. Occasional elliptocyte, acanthocyte, stomatocyte, kinzocyte, dacrocyte and schistocyte were also noted on the blood films.

Authentication mechanisms coupled with strong encryption techniques are used for network security purposes; however, given sufficient time, well-equipped intruders are successful for compromising system security. The authentication protocols often fail when they are analysed critically. Formal approaches have emerged to analyse protocol failures. In this study, Communicating Sequential Processes (CSP) which is an abstract language designed especially for the description of communication patterns is employed. Rank functions are also used for verification and analysis which are helpful to establish that some critical information is not available to the intruder. In order to establish this, by assigning a value or rank to each critical information, it is shown that all the critical information that can be generated within the network have a particular characterizing property. This paper presents an application of rank functions approach to an authentication protocol that combines delaying the decryption process with timed authentication while keys are dynamically renewed under pseudo-secure situations. The analysis and verification of authentication properties and results are presented and discussed.
An on-line real time grading and sorting system for dried oak mushrooms was developed for on-site application. Quality grades of the mushrooms were determined according to an industrial specification. Three dimensional visual quality features were used for the grading. A progressive color computer vision system with white LED illumination was implemented to develop an algorithm to extract external quality patterns of the dried oak mushrooms. Cap (top) and gil (stem) surface images were acquired sequentially and side image was obtained using mirror. Algorithms for extracting size, roundness, pattern and color of the cap, thickness, color of the gil and amount of rolled edge of the dried mushroom were developed. Utilizing those quality factors normal and abnormal ones were classified and normal mushrooms were further classified into 30 different grades. The sorting device was developed using microprocessor controlled electro-pneumatic system with stainless buckets. Grading accuracy was around 97% and processing time was 0.4 s in average.

The advantages of the Magnetic Fluid Linear Pump(MFLP) is that this device could Pump the non-conductive. non-magnetic liquid such as Insulin or blood because of the segregation structure of the magnetic fluid and pumping liquid. In this device. the sequential currents are needed to Produce pumping forces so that Pumping Forces and Pumping speed mainly depend on the current Patterns. The excessive forces at Pumping moment could cause the medical shock, and weak forces at intermediate moment could cause the back flow or the pumping liquid. So the ripples of the pumping forces need to be reduced for the medical application. In this research, the driving characteristics in the MFLP by operating current is analysed. The change of magnetic fluid surface according to the driving currents could be obtained be magneto-hydrodynamic analysis so that Pumping fortes could be computed by integration of the surface moving to the pumping direction at each moment. The actual MFLP with 13mm diameter was made and tested for experiments. The effects of driving current and frequency on the pumping forces and pumping speed were analyzed and compared with experimental measurements.
The proposed hybrid algorithm combines the benefits of rapid convergence property of mean filed annealing(MFA) and the effective genetic operations of simulated annealing-like genetic algorithm(SGA). This algorithm is applied to the isotropic material stock cutting problem, especially to glass cutting in distributed computing environments base on MPI called message passing interface. The glass cutting is to place the required rectangular patterns to the given large glass sheets resulting in reducing the wasted scrap area. Our experimental results show that the heuristic method improves the performance over the conventional ones by decreasing the scrap area and maximum execution time. It is also proved that the proposed distributed algorithm maintains the convergence properties of sequential one while it achieves almost linear speedup as the problem size increases.
A case study is presented where a fluvial system is modeled in three dimensions and compared to data gathered from a study of the Arkansas River. The data is unique in that it documents changes that affected a straight channel that was excavated within the river by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Excavation plan maps and sequential aerial photographs show that the channel underwent massive deposition and channel migration as it returned to a more natural, meandering path. These records illustrate that stability of fluvial system can be disrupted either by catastrophic events such as floods or by subtle events such as the altering of a stream's equilibrium base level or sediment load. SEDSIM, Stanford's Sedimentary Basin Simulation Model, is modified and used to model the Arkansas River and the geologic processes that changed in response to changing hydraulic and geologic parameters resulting from the excavation of the channel. Geologic parameters such as fluid and sediment discharge, velocity, transport capacity, and sediment load are input into the model. These parameters regulate the frequency distribution and sizes of sediment grains that are eroded, transported and deposited. The experiments compare favorably with field data, recreating similar patterns of fluid flow and sedimentation. Therefore, simulations provide insight for understanding and spatial distribution of sediment bodies in fluvial deposits and the internal sedimentary structure of fluvial reservoirs. These techniques of graphic simulation can be contributed to support the development of the new design criteria compatible with natural stream processes, espacially drainage problem to minimize environmental disruption.
