In recent years, the opinion analysis is one of the key research fronts of any domain. Opinion target extraction is an essential process of opinion analysis. Target is usually referred to noun or noun phrase in an entity which is deliberated by the opinion holder. Extraction of opinion target facilitates the opinion analysis more precisely and in addition helps to identify the opinion polarity i.e. users can perceive opinion in detail of a target including all its features. One of the most commonly employed algorithms is a sequence labeling algorithm also called Conditional Random Fields. In present article, recent opinion target extraction approaches are reviewed based on sequence labeling algorithm and it features combinations by analyzing and comparing these approaches. The good selection of features combinations will in some way give a good or better accuracy result. Features combinations are an essential process that can be used to identify and remove unneeded, irrelevant and redundant attributes from data that do not contribute to the accuracy of a predictive model or may in fact decrease the accuracy of the model. Hence, in general this review eventually leads to the contribution for the opinion analysis approach and assist researcher for the opinion target extraction in particular.

In case of 3D reconstruction from dense data in uncalibrated sequence images, we encounter with the problem for searching many correspondences and the computational costs. In this paper, we propose a key frame selection method from uncalibrated images and the effective 3D reconstruction method using the key frames. Namely, it can be performed on smaller number of views in the image sequence. We extract correspondences from selected key frames in image sequences. From the extracted correspondences, camera calibration process will be done. We use the edge image to fed dense correspondences between selected key frames. The method we propose to find dense correspondences can be used for recovering the 3D structure of the scene more efficiently.
Solanum berthaultii is one of the wild diploid Solanum species, which is an excellent resource in potato breeding owing to its resistance to several important pathogens. On the other hand, sexual hybridization between S. berthaultii and S. tuberosum (potato) is limited because of their sexual incompatibility. Therefore, cell fusion can be used to introgress various novel traits from this wild species into the cultivated potatoes. After cell fusion, it is crucial to identify fusion products with the aid of molecular markers. In this study, the chloroplast genome sequence of S. berthaultii obtained by next-generation sequencing technology was described and compared with those of five other Solanum species to develop S. berthaultii specific markers. A total sequence length of the chloroplast genome is 155,533 bp. The structural organization of the chloroplast genome is similar to those of the five other Solanum species. Phylogenic analysis with 25 other Solanaceae species revealed that S. berthaultii is most closely located with S. tuberosum. Additional comparison of the chloroplast genome sequence with those of the five Solanum species revealed 25 SNPs specific to S. berthaultii. Based on these SNPs, six PCR-based markers for differentiating S. berthaultii from other Solanum species were developed. These markers will facilitate the selection of fusion products and accelerate potato breeding using S. berthaultii.

In this paper, we formulate an optimal control problem to obtain the optimal signal strength and detection threshold for tracking with NN filter, First, we predict the tracking performance of NN filter by using the HYCA method. Based on this method, the predicted tracking performance is represented with respect to signal strength and detection threshold. Using this relation, we find the optimal parameters for following three examples: 1) the sequence of optimal detection threshold which minimizes sum of position estimation error; 2) the sequence of optimal detection threshold which minimizes sum of validation gate volume; and 3) the sequence of optimal signal strength and detection threshold which minimizes sum of signal strength.

Selective sweep can cause genetic differentiation across populations, which allows for the identification of possible causative regions/genes underlying important traits. The pig has experienced a long history of allele frequency changes through artificial selection in the domestication process. We obtained an average of 329,482,871 sequence reads for 24 pigs from three pig breeds: Yorkshire (n = 5), Landrace (n = 13), and Duroc (n = 6). An average read depth of 11.7 was obtained using whole-genome resequencing on an Illumina HiSeq2000 platform. In this study, cross-population extended haplotype homozygosity and cross-population composite likelihood ratio tests were implemented to detect genes experiencing positive selection for the genome-wide resequencing data generated from three commercial pig breeds. In our results, 26, 7, and 14 genes from Yorkshire, Landrace, and Duroc, respectively were detected by two kinds of statistical tests. Significant evidence for positive selection was identified on genes ST6GALNAC2 and EPHX1 in Yorkshire, PARK2 in Landrace, and BMP6, SLA-DQA1, and PRKG1 in Duroc. These genes are reportedly relevant to lactation, reproduction, meat quality, and growth traits. To understand how these single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) related positive selection affect protein function, we analyzed the effect of non-synonymous SNPs. Three SNPs (rs324509622, rs80931851, and rs80937718) in the SLA-DQA1 gene were significant in the enrichment tests, indicating strong evidence for positive selection in Duroc. Our analyses identified genes under positive selection for lactation, reproduction, and meat-quality and growth traits in Yorkshire, Landrace, and Duroc, respectively.
Simple sequence repeats (SSR) are widely dispersed throughout eukaryotic genomes, highly polymorphic, and easily typed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The objective of this study was to determine the polymorphism of different Chlamydomonas reinhartdtii strains and to determine the mode of inheritance of the SSR locus in Chlamydomonas. A genomic DNA library of C. reinhardtii was constructed and screened with a radiolabeled $(AC)_{11}$ probe for the selection of (CA/GT)n repeat clone. Selected clone was seqeuenced, and PCR primer set flanking (CA/GT)n sequence was constructed. PCR was used to specifically amplify the SSR locus from multiple isolates of C. reinhardtii. The locus was polymorphic in some of the C. reinhardtii isolates. However, the locus was amplified only 4 of 6 isolates of C. reinhardtii, not in other 2 isolates of C. reinhardtii, suggesting that this locus is not extensively conserved. A simple Mendelian inheritance pattern was found, which showed 2:2 segregation in the tetrads resulting from a cross between C. reinhardtii and C. smithii. Our results suggest that this simple sequence repeat DNA polymorphism will be useful for identity testing, population studies, linkage analysis, and genome mapping in Chlamydomonas.
We generally use lower-dimensional transformations to convert high-dimensional sequences into low-dimensional points in similar sequence matching. These traditional transformations, however, show different characteristics in indexing performance by the type of time-series data. It means that the selection of lower-dimensional transformations makes a significant influence on the indexing performance in similar sequence matching. To solve this problem, in this paper we propose a hybrid approach that integrates multiple transformations and uses them in a single multidimensional index. We first propose a new notion of hybrid lower-dimensional transformation that exploits different lower-dimensional transformations for a sequence. We next define the hybrid distance to compute the distance between the transformed sequences. We then formally prove that the hybrid approach performs the similar sequence matching correctly. We also present the index building and the similar sequence matching algorithms that use the hybrid approach. Experimental results for various time-series data sets show that our hybrid approach outperforms the single transformation-based approach. These results indicate that the hybrid approach can be widely used for various time-series data with different characteristics.
A secretion signal sequence-selection vector (pGS40) was constructed based on an $\alpha$-amylase gene lacking a secretion signal and employed for selecting secretion signals from Lactococcus lactis ssp. cremoris LM0230 chromosomal DNA. Six fragments were identified based on their ability to restore $\alpha$-amylase secretion in E. coli, and among these, a fragment, S405, conferred the highest secretion activity (84%) in E. coli. Meanwhile, S407, which conferred poor secretion activity in E. coli, was quite active in L. lactis. The results suggested that the efficiency of a secretion signal depended on the host. All six fragments had an open reading frame (ORF) fused to the reporter gene, and the potential Shine-Dalgamo (SD) sequence and putative promoter sequences were located upstream of the ORF. Deduced amino acid sequences from the six fragments did not show any homology with known secretion signals. However, they contained three distinguished structural features and cleavage sites, commonly found among typical secretion signals. The characterized secretion signals could be useful for the construction of food-grade secretion vectors and gene expression in LAB.

In mobile communication systems, the Reduced State Sequence Estimation(RSSE) receiver must be able to track changes in the channel. This is carried out by the adaptive channel estimator. However, when the tentative decisions are used in the channel estimator, incorrect decisions can cause error propagation. This paper presents a new channel estimator using the path history in the Viterbi decoder for preventing error propagation. The selection of the path history in the Viterbi decoder for preventing error propagation. The selection of the path history for the channel estimator depends on the path metric as in the decoding of the Viterbi decoder in RSSE. And a discussion on the channel estimator with different adaptation algorithms such as Least Mean Square(LMS) algorithm and Recursive Least Square(RLS) algorithm is provided. Results from computer simulations show that the RSSE receivers using the proposed channel estimator have better performance than the other conventional RSSE receiver, and that the channel estimator with RLS algorithm is adequate for multipath fading channel.
Molecular markers developed from the flanking sequences of two cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS)-associated genes, orf456 and ${\Psi}atp6-2$, have been used for marker-assisted selection of CMS in pepper. However, in practice, the presence of orf456 and ${\Psi}atp6-2$ at substoichiometric levels even in maintainer lines hampers reliable selection of plants containing the CMS gene. In this study, we developed a novel CMS-specific molecular marker, accD-U, for reliable determination of CMS lines in pepper, and used the newly and previously developed markers to determine the cytoplasm types of pepper breeding lines and germplasms. This marker was developed from a deletion in a chloroplast-derived sequence in the mitochondrial genome of a CMS pepper line. CMS pepper lines could be unambiguously determined by presence or absence of the accD-U marker band. Application of orf456, ${\Psi}atp6-2$and accD-U to various pepper breeding lines and germplasms revealed that accD-U is the most reliable CMS selection marker. A wide distribution of orf456, but not ${\Psi}atp6-2$, in germplasms suggests that the pepper cytoplasm containing both orf456 and ${\Psi}atp6-2$ has been selected as CMS cytoplasm from cytoplasm containing only orf456. Furthermore, factors other than orf456 may be required for the regulation of male sterility in pepper.
