패턴 투영법을 이용한 3차원 물체의 거리 정보 계측 (The Measurement of 3-D Object Depth Information Using Pattern Projection Method)

  • The algorithm to reconstruct an original 3-D object from a curved object is proposed in this paper. The reconstruction is performed by transforming the recorded image perspectively which is obtained from projecting arbitrary pattern on a curved object. In this paper we make use of the sequence of points, the set of points as a projection pattern of a projected image. The experimental result reveals that this algorithm makes it possible to acquisite 3-D information as well as depth information over the whole 3-D range of the object by measuring the data while convolving the experimental object.

Characterization of Centroceras gasparrinii (Ceramiaceae, Rhodophyta) known as Centroceras clavulatum in Korea

  • Centroceras gasparrinii is characterized by 1) straight spines, 2) an ovoid gland cell, 3) tetrasporangia with involucral branchlets, and 4) ovoid cortical cells on the first and second cortical initials. A similar Centroceras species with dichotomous habit, "Centroceras clavulatum", has been widely known as a common species of Korean marine flora. However, the species known as "C. clavulatum" in Korea is recognized as C. gasparrinii based on the molecular and morphological evidence. Newly generated sequences of rbcL gene reveal that all taxa of Centroceras from Korea having dichotomous branching pattern are C. gasparrinii. There is 0-0.07% sequence divergence among specimens of C. gasparrinii in Korea. "Centroceras clavulatum" is excluded from Korean flora and C. gasparrinii is included instead of "Centroceras clavulatum". C. gasparrinii also differs from C. distichum in Korea in that it has tetrasporangia with involucral branchlets and dichotomous branching pattern, while C. distichum has immersed tetrasporangia and an alternate branching pattern.

타이어 패턴 소음에 대한 고찰 (The study on tire Pattern Noise)

  • As the needs of consumer on ride comforts increase and the reduction of road traffic noise tightened step by step, the power unit noise emitted by cars has been reduced. It has been found that tire noise dominates noise produced by the power-train when vehicles are driven at high speeds. Therefore, in these days, tire/pavement noise is concerned. Tire/pavement noise is affected by pavement type and vehicle???s transmission loss. Tire noise mechanism is produced by several mechanisms. The sound of tire can propagate either through the air or through the structure of vehicle. Pattern noise is the result of pressure variations through the air to the interior side of vehicle. Especially, on smooth asphalt the periodicity of tread design, pitch sequence is important factor, which have an influence on the reduction of tire noise.

An Anomaly Detection Algorithm for Cathode Voltage of Aluminum Electrolytic Cell

  • The cathode voltage of aluminum electrolytic cell is relatively stable under normal conditions and fluctuates greatly when it has an anomaly. In order to detect the abnormal range of cathode voltage, an anomaly detection algorithm based on sliding window was proposed. The algorithm combines the time series segmentation linear representation method and the k-nearest neighbor local anomaly detection algorithm, which is more efficient than the direct detection of the original sequence. The algorithm first segments the cathode voltage time series, then calculates the length, the slope, and the mean of each line segment pattern, and maps them into a set of spatial objects. And then the local anomaly detection algorithm is used to detect abnormal patterns according to the local anomaly factor and the pattern length. The experimental results showed that the algorithm can effectively detect the abnormal range of cathode voltage.

섬유조직염 환자의 질병 특성과 치료행태 (Disease Characteristics and Behavior Pattern of Treatment for Patient with Fibromyalgia)

  • The purpose of the study was to identify disease characteristics and behavior pattern of treatment for patients with Fibromyalgia. This study was carried out between May to Aug. in 1998 through direct interview in Rheumatism clinic at H. University Hospital and subject in this study were 125 outpatients diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-test, ANOVA using SPSS Window program. The results of this study are as follows. 1. General Characteristics : All of the persons with Fibromyalgia were female who were mostly in their forties(37.5%). A third of them(38.4%) were graduated from high school. The greatest part of them(54.4%) were christians but little part of them(16.8%) were employed 2. Disease Characteristics : They have struggled with Fibromyalgia for 10 years on an average. About half of them(56.9%) suffered from Fibromyalgia only but the others had another diseases which were in greatest part occupied by Osteoarthritis. The number of tender point which is a feature of Fibromyalgia differed according to measuring criteria. Yunus criteria. however, was proved to be the most proper measuring criteria than any other method as it showed high correlations between symptoms and physical activities. The most serious symptoms that complained the patients among subjective symptoms are pain, sleep disorder, and fatigue in sequence, and activities most hard to do among physical activities are washing by hand, scrubbing by hand, and shopping in sequence. 3. Behavior Pattern of Treatment : The largest part of them(42.4%) had received medical treatment after they were determined to have the disease and most of them were taking medicine as prescribed by physician(88.8%) or other medicines(16.8%), Of them, two thirds stated that the medicine they took were effective. Around a third of them took exercises mostly composed of swimming. The medical institution they visited in the past were orthopedic surgical department, Oriental hospital, physical therapy department in sequence and, in a slight percent(11.4%), psychiatric department. 4. Relations between Disease Characteristics and Behavior pattern of Treatment : It shows that number of tender point and level of symptom are significantly different according to duration of disease and medical intervention. As a results, it can be suggest that persons with Fibromyalgia need to take exercises and medicine continually regardless of medical treatment as it is a chronic disease whose symptoms are hardly mitigated.

솔잎혹파리가 소나무생장(生長)에 미치는 영향(影響)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)(III) -직경생장저해(直徑生長沮害)- (Studies on the Effects of the Pine Needle Gall Midge, Thecodiplosis japonensis Uchida et Inouye, on the Growth of the Red Pine, Pinus densiflora S. et Z.(III) -Radial Growth Impact-)

  • 과거(過去)에 솔잎혹파리 피해(被害)를 받은 바 있는 충청남도(忠淸南道) 서천군(舒川郡) 비인(庇仁)과 피해(被害)를 받지 않은 충청남도(忠淸南道) 홍성군(洪城郡) 장곡(長谷) 자생(自生)하고 있는 13년생내외(年生內外) 소나무의 연륜(年輪)을 Duff와 Nolan(1953)의 방법(方法)으로 비교(比較)한 바 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. 1) 건전(健全)한 소나무연륜(年輪)의 사선계열(斜線系列)에서 하나의 생장(生長) Pattern이 발견(發見)된다. 그러나 수선계열(垂線系列)을 위시(爲始)한 각(各) 계열(系列)에서 나무가 성장(成長)함에 따라 연륜폭(年輪幅)이 점차 증가(增加)하는 경향(傾向)도 볼 수 있었다. 2) 솔잎혹파리로 인(因)한 연륜생장저해(年輪生長沮害)는 수간기부(樹幹基部)의 수평선계열(水平線系列)에서는 발견(發見)되지 않았으나 기타계열(其他系列)에서는 모두 쉽게 식별(識別)해낼 수 있었다. 3) 경미(輕微)한 피해(被害)를 받았을 때나 생장저해(生長沮害)가 발생(發生)하는 초년도(初年度)를 판단(判斷)하기 위하여는 사선계열(斜線系列)이 가장 유용(有用)할 것으로 고찰(考察)되었다.

Multiscale Adaptive Local Directional Texture Pattern for Facial Expression Recognition

  • This work presents a novel facial descriptor, which is named as multiscale adaptive local directional texture pattern (MALDTP) and employed for expression recognition. We apply an adaptive threshold value to encode facial image in different scales, and concatenate a series of histograms based on the MALDTP to generate facial descriptor in term of Gabor filters. In addition, some dedicated experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of the MALDTP method in a person-independent way. The experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method achieves higher recognition rate than local directional texture pattern (LDTP). Moreover, the MALDTP method has lower computational complexity, fewer storage space and higher classification accuracy than local Gabor binary pattern histogram sequence (LGBPHS) method. In a nutshell, the proposed MALDTP method can not only avoid choosing the threshold by experience but also contain much more structural and contrast information of facial image than LDTP.

설계패턴을 이용한 캠퍼스 인트라넷 구조의 객체모델링 (Object Modeling of Campus Intranet Structure using Design Pattern)

  • 최근에 설계패턴 방법이 효율적이고 실용적인 재사용 기법으로 부각되고 있다. 설계패턴은 특정 도메인에 대한 여러 어플리케이션들 간의 공통된 행위들을 지닌 클래스들의 집합으로, 재사용성을 증가시키고, 어플리케이션 개발 시간을 단축시키는 효과를 가지고 있다. 그러나 설계패턴을 구축하기 위한 체계적인 개발 프로세스와 세부적인 개발 지침에 대한 연구가 충분히 이루어지지 않은 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 설계패턴을 기반으로 한 인트라넷 어플리케이션 구조의 모델링 기법을 제시한다. 제시된 모델링 기법의 프로세스는 영역분석, 네비게이션 설계. 인터페이스 설계, 행위영역 설계로 구성되어 있으며 각 단계는 논리적인 개발 업무들로 정의된다. 제시된 프로세스를 적용함으로서 보다 효율적인 인트라넷 모델링이 될 수 있다.

A Study on Improvement of a-Si:H TFT Operating Speed

  • The a-Si:H TFTs decreasing parasitic capacitance of source-drain is fabricated on glass. The structure of a-Si:H TFTs is inverted staggered. The gate electrode is formed by patterning with length of $8{\mu}m{\sim}16{\mu}m$ and width of $80{\sim}200{\mu}m$ after depositing with gate electrode (Cr) $1500{\AA}$ under coming 7059 glass substrate. We have fabricated a-SiN:H, conductor, etch-stopper and photoresistor on gate electrode in sequence, respectively. The thickness of these, thin films is formed with a-SiN:H ($2000{\mu}m$), a-Si:H($2000{\mu}m$) and $n^+a-Si:H$ ($500{\mu}m$). We have deposited $n^+a-Si:H$, NPR(Negative Photo Resister) layer after forming pattern of Cr gate electrode by etch-stopper pattern. The NPR layer by inverting pattern of upper gate electrode is patterned and the $n^+a-Si:H$ layer is etched by the NPR pattern. The NPR layer is removed. After Cr layer is deposited and patterned, the source-drain electrode is formed. The a-Si:H TFTs decreasing parasitic capacitance of source-drain show drain current of $8{\mu}A$ at 20 gate voltages, $I_{on}/I_{off}$ ratio of ${\sim}10^8$ and $V_{th}$ of 4 volts.

Sequence Alignment 기법을 활용한 화물 통행의 Trip Chain 분석 (An Analysis of Trip Chain of Freight Travel using Sequence Alignment Methods)

  • 화물차량의 통행패턴은 여객통행에 비해 연구 성과의 누적이 상대적으로 적은 분야이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 도시 내 통행에서 화물차가 차지하는 중요성에 대한 인식이 증가하고 있으며, 자가용 화물 차주들의 능동적 사업 비율이 증가하고 있어 이 분야에 대한 더 많은 연구의 필요성이 대두된다. 본 연구는, 여객통행에서의 활동기반 수요추정 이론의 발달에 부합하는 화물통행에서의 의사결정 원리에 대한 연구의 기초로서, 화물차량 통행실태 조사의 자료를 분석하여 화물차량 톤급별 평균 통행 특성, 운행효율성, 도착지-도착지유형-적재품목 통행연쇄의 특성을 확인하였다. 분석 결과 이들 화물차량 통행 특성들은 톤급별로 분명한 차이가 있음을 확인하였으며, 그 자체 화물차의 톤급별 특징을 잘 보여주었다. 연구 결과는 화물차량 통행 관련 교통정책 수단 개발에 긍정적 기여를 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
