The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding of the essential experience of Separated Families in South and North Korea in a socio-cultural context and to explore their post-separation adjustment process from the perspective of the families. Major findings in this study are summarized as follows. First, 'han' was the central phenomenon that the participants experienced following their separation. Second, the core issue in the process of post-separation adjustment was 'accepting the separation and rearrangement of reality for reunion', and over time the participants went through four stages in their adjustment process: the stage of being overwhelmed, the stage of conflict, the stage of awareness, and the stage of acceptance. Third, the main factors affecting the participants' adjustment were supportive systems, available resources(individual variables) and interaction with other separated families. fourth, four types were observed in the typology of adjustment and reunion of the participants.

Keep pace with economic development, the quality of transportation means such as railway, road, harbors has changed and those changes have affected to economic activities. It means that economic development and the changes of transportation quality have an inter-systemic relationship. So to speak, transportation means are major factor of national economic activities to implement economic and consumption activities by promoting supply of goods through the network between regions and industries. Currently, it is needed to connect railway and road between South and North Korea due to the economic cooperation of two sides and meeting of separated families based on the peacemaking mood. Moreover, to connect to T.C.R. and T.S.R. route will contribute to save time and cost of transporting freight to Europe comparing with shipping when South-North railway is connected. The possibility and method of connecting railway between South and North Korea will be introduced in this paper.

A revised checklist of Korean Trichoptera is provided for the species recorded from the Korean Peninsula, including both North and South Korea. The checklist includes bibliographic research as well as results after reexamination of some specimens. For each species, we provide the taxonomic literature that examined Korean Trichoptera materials or mentioned significant taxonomic treatments regarding to Korean species. We also provide the records of unnamed species based on larval identification for further study. Based on taxonomic considerations, 20 species among the previously known nominal species in Korea are deleted or synonymized, and three species omitted from the previous lists, Hydropsyche athene Malicky and Chantaramongkol, 2000, H. simulata Mosely, 1942 and Helicopsyche coreana Mey, 1991 are newly added to the checklist. Hydropsyche formosana Ulmer, 1911 is recorded from the Korean Peninsula for the first time by the identification of Hydropsyche KD. In addition, we recognized 14 species of larvae separated with only tentative alphabetic designations. As a result, this new Korean Trichoptera checklist includes 218 currently recognized species in 66 genera and 25 families from the Korean Peninsula.
