기존 경부선 구간의 고속열차 운행가능시격에 대한 연구 (Research for possible Service Interval of High Speed KTX train in conventional KyoungBu-Line)

  • In case of accidents at the line of Seoul-Pusan high speed railway, high speed train should be operated with making a detour by using existing Seoul-Pusan railroad. For Dae-jeon$\sim$Dae-Gu section which has fragile structures, following points are investigated. In operating existing train, train running time is analyzed by the case of only high speed train being in service and the case of high speed train being in service on condition that existing train is operated. Also the possibility about operation on present train headway and train headway that is applicable to operation and vocational problems would be examined.

  • Design standard specifications for structures applied to Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail construction were established in 1991. Those specifications have been changed and supplemented in the process of above construction, and need to improve in accordance with the new criteria for construction works of Korean government. Also, a settlement of the criteria for prevention against disasters of Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail is needed, and related specifications have been revised. The design criteria for Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail are enacted with knowhow which resulted from High Speed Rail construction, and those are enacted for the purpose of establishing criteria for High Speed Rail construction in the inside and outside of Korea.

  • Ten years have passed since my last visit to Korea on the occasion of the International Symposium on High Speed Rail Systems organized by the Korean Transport Institute in October 1989. At that time, it was the objective to introduce the maglev and VHSR (very high speed rail) systems with their different areas of application and to discuss them with local partners against the background of the Seoul-Pusan HSR project. Congratulations on the success of the Centennial seminar. I am much pleased to be invited to the memorable seminar and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Korean members' hospitality.   • 본 연구의 2004년 4월 서울 $\sim$ 부산의 고속철도 1단계 개통으로 기존 육상교통수단의 변화와 역세권 중심으로 생활권의 패턴변화가 발생하고 있다. 고속철도 개통으로 서울 $\sim$ 부산구간 통행시간이 4시간 10분에서 2시간 40분으로 단축되어, 이로 인한 인구의 이동, 기업이 입지, 공간구조의 개편 등 수단선택의 행태변화가 발생하고 있다. 본 연구는 서울 $\sim$ 천안/아산, 서울 $\sim$ 대전, 서울 $\sim$ 대구, 서울 $\sim$ 부산을 대상으로 고속철도 개통 후 발생하는 수단선택의 형태변화을 조사하여 이로부터 향후 수단선택에 영향을 미치는 인자를 분석하고자 한다. 이러한 1 단계의 고속철도 개통으로 인한 대상지역의 수단선택의 행태변화를 분석하여 향후 정부고속철도 2단계, 호남고속철도 개통으로 인한 거리별, 지역별, 수단별 형태의 변화 분석을 통해 정확한 수단변화를 통하여 도시공간구조개편, 광역교통체계의 계획시 좀 더 정확한 분석을 수행 활 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

한국형 고속전철 열차성능해석 프로그램 (Train Performance Simulation Program for Korea High Speed Railway System)

  • This paper presents development of train performance simulation(TPS) program to analyze traction performance, braking performance and energy consumption for Korea high speed railway system. The conventional TPS program have some inconveniences such as DOS-based platform, user interface and limited function. The simulation technique model using scenario menu, various analysis function and object-oriented design/programming is presented. This simulation result have been compared with Alstom's for the Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail Project.

  • The KTX train which brings April 2004 high-speed railroad commerce operation time is operated currently Kyungbu line Seoul-Gwangmyeong-Daejeon-Dongdaegu-Pusan and Honam line Youngsan-Gwangmyeong-Seodaejeon-Kwangju/Mokpo. The high-speed railroad opening to traffic after KTX train interior noise follows in railway line quality change and it is changing together. From the research which it sees until opening to traffic after present time of the KTX vehicle it executed an interior noise quality change from Kyungbu line.

  • In this paper, we introduce the on-line test plan of high speed rail development, which will be carried out at the test section of Seoul-Pusan high speed line from May to October, 2002. The test items are decided focused on the verification of the perofrmace and acquirement of the technical data of the high speed rail system development. The running time and distance of the train are calculated for several limited maximum speed cases. The detailed test scenario shall be developed according to the process of development and design of the system.

터널을 통과하는 고속철도차량에 의해 형성되는 비정상 유동장의 수치해석 (Numerical Simulation of the Unsteady Flow Field Induced by a High-speed Train Passing through a Tunnel)

  • In this study, the unsteady flow field induced by a high-speed train passing through a tunnel is numerically simulated by using an axi-symmetric Euler Equation. The modified patched grid scheme applied to a structured grid system was used to handle the relative motion of a train. The hybrid-dimensional approach which mixed 1D and axi-symmetric dimension was used to reduce the computation time and memory storage. By employing the hybrid-dimensional approach, a long tunnel as much as 5 km was able to be simulated efficiently. The results show that the maximum pressure rise in the tunnel by the entrance of the train is a function of both train speed and train-tunnel cross-sectional area ratio. The unsteady pressure fluctuation in the tunnel and around the train was also investigated in the real condition; Korean high-speed train on the Seoul-Pusan line.

  • On the 105th year of the Korean Railroad, Korea railroad is at the advent of the high speed operation with an commercial operation of KTX(Korea Train eXpress), the fifth high speed line in the world, between Pusan and Seoul at the speed of 300km/hr. In order to enhance nation competitiveness in $21^{st}$ century, Korea Railroad is faced with a task of improving the railroad network in the areas of new line constructions, betterment of existing rail lines, increasing the operation speed and transportation capacity and modernization of rolling stock fleet.
