Purpose: We studied the pathogens and trends in antibiotic sensitivity pattern in children with urinary tract infection (UTI) over 8 years in order to evaluate adequate treatment. Methods: We performed a retrospective review of medical records of children with UTI from January 2009 to December 2016 in Daegu Fatima Hospital. Uropathogens and antibiotic sensitivity patterns were selected. Only 1 bacterial species with a colony count of ${\geq}105CFU/mL$ was considered a positive result. We compared 2 periods group (A: 2009~2012, B: 2013~2016) to investigate trends of antibiotic sensitivity pattern. Results: During the 8 year period, 589 cases are identified (E. coli was cultured in 509 cases, 86.4%). Among all patients, this study investigated the antibiotic sensitivity of E. coli. Antimicrobial susceptibility to ampicillin was steadily low for both periods (A: 32.6%, B: 40.1%, P=0.125), and to amikacin was consistently high for both periods (A: 99.4%, B: 99.3%, P=1.000). Antibiotic sensitivity to third-generation cephalosporin decreased from period A to B (A: 91.7%, B: 75.5%, P=0.000). Antibiotic sensitivity to quinolone significantly decreased from A to B (A: 88.4%, B: 78.2%, P=0.003). The prevalence of extended-spectrum ${\beta}$-lactamase-producing E. coli increased from period A to B (A: 6.1%, B: 17.1%, P=0.000). Conclusion: This study showed that conventional antibiotic therapy for the treatment of pediatric UTI needs to be reevaluated. A careful choice of antibiotic is required due to the change in antibiotic sensitivity and the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
The purpose of this study was to suggest menu pricing strategy based on understanding about customer perceived value of products and services. The technique known as PSM (Price Sensitivity Measurement) was used for analysis of price sensitivity for 3 menu items of a family restaurant in Seoul. A questionnaire was developed through literature review and modified after pilot test. Questionnaires for the main survey were distributed to 250 customers on their visit to the restaurant, and a total of 138 questionnaires were used for analysis (55.2%). The statistical analysis of price sensitivity was conducted using PSM, and descriptive analyses were conducted using SPSS Win (12.0). The main results of this study were as follows: the price sensitivity of beef tenderloin steak was higher than two other menus and the stress range of teriyaki chicken was almost 0, that is, the price sensitivity of teriyaki chicken was very low. Present menu prices of 3 menu items were within the range of acceptable prices, but had some distances from the optimal pricing point. From the result of this study, it was concluded that price adjustment or price promotion strategy would be effective for increase in sales of beef tenderloin steak, and marketing strategies to enhance consumers' perceptions of value should be conducted for all menu items by situations. Overall, PSM technique could be a helpful tool for researchers and managers of foodservice organizations to understand how consumers' perceptions of value are affected by the interaction of price and quality.

This study examined the order of the Butterworth filter for the correlation on the sensitivity of the receiver in the receiver of an optical system. In the general case, the sensitivity of the receiver is increased if the order of the filter was increased more. This is because increasing the order of the filter response of the normalized frequency of the filter is similar to the rectangular wave. For that reason, the method used to increase the order of the filter increases the sensitivity of the receiver. On the other hand, a method of increasing the order of the filter and makes the system complicated increases the cost of the system. This study examined the correlation between the order of the sensitivity of the receiver filter and to configure the system by simply looking for ways to reduce the cost of the system. The simulation results showed that increasing the order of the filter resulted in a receiver that can determine if the sensitivity is raised. In addition, the order of the Butterworth filter range that does not reduce the sensitivity of the receiver was 2. Therefore, it will be possible to implement an inexpensive optical system of the receiver using the data from this study.

The purpose of this study is a descriptive research study to understand the relationship between sexual attitude, sexual knowledge and gender sensitivity of general college students, and to analyze the effect on gender sensitivity. Participants included 139 general college students. Data collection was conducted through self-reported questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Schffe test for multiple comparisons. The average score of the general college students sexual knowledge was 22.73 out of 38 points, and their sexual attitudes scored 2.92 out of 5points. The average score of gender sensitivity was 2.03 out of 5points. As a result of the study, gender sensitivity was positively correlated with sexual attitude (r=.201, p=.018), and the factors affecting gender sensitivity of general college students were sexual attitude (𝛽=.196, p=.021), and the explanatory power of these factors was 34.0%. Based on the results of this study, it is thought that it is necessary to development of a program that can establish a correct sexual attitude in order to increase the gender sensitivity of general college students.
In this study, the new dimensionless values were defined and proposed to determine the parameters of urban runoff models based on the relative sensitivity analysis. Also, the sensitivity characteristics of each parameter were investigate. In order to analyze the parameter sensitivities of each model, total runoff ratio, peak runoff ratio, runoff sensitivity ratio, sensitivity ratio of total runoff, and sensitivity ratio of peak runoff were defined. $$Total\;runoff\;ratio(Q_{TR})\;=\;\frac{Total\;runoff\;of\;corresponding\;step}{Maximum\;total\;runoff}$$$$Peak\;runoff\;ratio(Q_{PR})\;=\;\frac{Peak\;runoff\;of\;corresponding\;step}{Maximum\;peak\;runoff}$$$$Runoff\;sensitivity\;ratio(Q_{SR})\;=\;\frac{Q_{TR}}{Q_{PR}}$$ And for estimation of sensitivity ratios based on the scale of basin area, rainfall distributions and rainfall durations in ILLUDAS & SWMM, the reasonable ranges of parameters were proposed.

Background: Red ginseng has been found to improve ocular perfusion and dry eye syndrome in glaucomatous eyes; however, its effects on visual function and vision-related quality of life have not been investigated. This study sought to evaluate the effects of red ginseng on visual function and vision-related quality of life in glaucoma patients using contrast sensitivity and a questionnaire. Methods: Participants were randomly assigned to two groups in this prospective, randomized, double-blind study: in one group, red ginseng was taken first, followed by a placebo, and in the other, placebo was taken first, followed by red ginseng. We measured and compared changes in contrast sensitivity and vision-related quality of life between the two groups. Contrast sensitivity was measured using OPTEC® 6500P, and vision-related quality of life was evaluated using the 25-item National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire. One-way and two-way repeated measure analyses of variance were used for the comparison. Relationships between respective changes in dry eye syndrome and contrast sensitivity were also analyzed. Results: Daytime contrast sensitivity and ocular pain improved after the administration of red ginseng. Nighttime contrast sensitivity was improved in early or moderate glaucoma. Improved contrast sensitivity was not associated with improvement in dry eye syndrome. Conclusion: Red ginseng could improve contrast sensitivity and ocular pain in patients with glaucoma. The mechanism underlying improvement in contrast sensitivity appears to be associated with enhanced retinal perfusion or retinal ganglion cell function, but not dry eye syndrome.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a multicultural education program for nursing students and to examine its effects on multicultural sensitivity and efficacy. Methods: A research design for this study was a non-equivalent control group, non-synchronized pre-post test. The experimental group (n=34) participated in a 13-week multicultural education program while the control group (n=35) attended regular classes having no relation with multiculture for the same period as that of the experimental group. Multicultural sensitivity and efficacy were measured before and after the program. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using the PASW 18.0 program. Results: Total scores for multicultural sensitivity and efficacy were significantly increased in the experimental group compared with the control group after the program. The subcategories of multicultural sensitivity; 'respect for cultural differences', 'interaction enjoyment' and multicultural efficacy; 'general functions', 'considering multicultural families' were increased respectively, whereas others were not changed. Conclusion: Based on these results, it can be suggested that a 13-week multicultural education program is effective for improving nursing students' level of multicultural sensitivity and efficacy.

This study describes a range sensitivity of a canard controlled missile. An investigation was conducted into the relative importance of aerodynamic parameters on a guided missile. Also this study was analyzed by quantifying their effects on the missile range. To analyze the range sensitivity of a guided missile, a trajectory analysis program of a guided missile was developed. The range sensitivity analysis was conducted on a thrust, weight, drag and lift. The result of the range sensitivity analysis shows that the design parameters with the greatest effect on the missile range are thrust, drag, weight, and lift, in descending order of importance. The thrust on range extension is quite obvious to extend a range of a guided missile. In particular, the drag exhibited greater range sensitivity than lift at a guided flight. The result also shows that missile range could be maximized by applying the appropriate launch angle and canard pitch-up control.
This study evaluated the engineering students' ethical sensitivity to an AI emotion recognition robot scenario and explored its characteristics. For data collection, 54 students (27 majoring in Convergence Electronic Engineering and 27 majoring in Computer Software) were asked to list five factors regarding the AI robot scenario. For the analysis of ethical sensitivity, it was checked whether the students acknowledged the AI ethical principles in the AI robot scenario, such as safety, controllability, fairness, accountability, and transparency. We also categorized students' levels as either informed or naive based on whether or not they infer specific situations and diverse outcomes and feel a responsibility to take action as engineers. As a result, 40.0% of students' responses contained the AI ethical principles. These include safety 57.1%, controllability 10.7%, fairness 20.5%, accountability 11.6%, and transparency 0.0%. More students demonstrated ethical sensitivity at a naive level (76.8%) rather than at the informed level (23.2%). This study has implications for presenting an ethical sensitivity evaluation tool that can be utilized professionally in educational fields and applying it to engineering students to illustrate specific cases with varying levels of ethical sensitivity.
This study aims to present the sensitivity analysis approach for multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method to reduce the uncertainty of weighting and performance values. This study focuses on two major problems of the uncertainty for MCDM method. The first major problem is how to determine the most critical criterion and the second is how to determine the most critical measure of performance. This study used the application of weighted sum method for water resources planning. The criticality degrees and the sensitivity coefficients of criterion and alternative are used. This results of sensitivity analysis can be applied to the general water resources planning in real.
