A time-delay feedback control approach is proposed for making a given stable continuous-time Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system chaotic, which is based on the fuzzy feedback linearization and a suitable approximate relationship between a time-delay differential equation and a discrete map. The time-delay feedback controller, chosen among several candidates, is a simple sinusoidal function of the delay states of the system, which has small amplitude. This approach is mathematically proven for rigorous generation of chaos from stable continuous-time TS fuzzy systems, where the generated chaos is in the sense of Li and Yorke. Numerical examples are included to visualize the theoretical analysis and the controller design.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in Thailand as well as other countries. Evidences from studies in Asia show that alcohol consumption has been linked to an increased risk for various types of cancer. In the qualitative participatory action research presented here, the possibilities of a volunteer women's movement to reduce harmful alcohol consumption by facilitating the creation of emancipatory knowledge in the Thai-Isaan community was explored. During in-depth interviews with 10 female volunteer participants, the following themes emerged: merit making, developing a sense of personal empowerment, and the experience of participating in an action plan that utilized various strategies. The project activities empowered participants to create and share knowledge which was then applied toward action for change. Adoption of this type of program by local health care providers to reduce health problems and risks related to alcohol misuse in similar contexts and cultures is recommended.

English floating quantifiers (FQ) are both limited and complex in the sense that they are introduced by a limited set of words, all, both, and each, and display free distributional possibilities. This paper provides a non-movement approach to the syntax of English floating quantifier constructions. The non-movement analysis we develop here is different from stranding movement analyses in that all the FQs are base-generated while the linkage with their antecedent refers to grammatical features such as SUBJ and PRD. The analysis avoids the postulation of abstract levels as well as empty elements in capturing the flexibility of English FQ constructions, making the grammar of English simpler.

본 연구는 소비자의 일상생활 행동을 다각적이며 심층적으로 파악하기 위한 하나의 방법으로 다양한 조사방법론을 활용하였다. 본 연구는 디지털 제품 선도 소비자(lead consumer)를 대상으로 구조화된 설문조사법 이외에 심층면접(In Depth-Interview), 쉐도우 서베이(Shadow Survey), 홈비지팅(Home-Visiting) 등의 방법론을 사용하였다. 즉, 일반 소비자와 선도 소비자의 일반적 특성을 파악하기 위해 질문지를 이용한 설문조사방법과 선도 소비자의 일상생활 행동, 행동의 원인, 행동의 결과 등을 심층면접, 쉐도우(Shadow) 관찰조사 방법, 가정 생활을 관찰하기 위한 홈비지팅(Home-visiting) 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 의사소통관련 행동은 가족 및 친구를 위한 활동, 정보처리관련 행동은 사회(3차집단)을 위한 활동, 엔터테이먼트 관련 행동은 개인을 위한 활동 목적이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 추후 연구는 상황(Situation)-차이(Gap)-사용(Use)이라는 Sense-Making Theory로 활용되어지며, 이러한 결과는 신상품 컨셉 개발을 위해 활용되어질 것이다. 그러나 본 연구는 견고한 이론적 틀 보다는 목적 지향적이며 실천 지향적 성격이 강하다. 따라서 추후 연구들은 체계적이며, 다학제적인 연구를 통해 조사방법의 체계를 다져야 할 것이다.

The whistle is a very important information source for the safety navigation under foggy weather. But navigator has no concern about this , because it must be achieved by human hearing sense and considered as a vague signal. If the range and relative bearing of signa source can be detected automatically, it would be very useful system for preventing marine casualties making a lot of economic loss and environment pollution. Before the algorithm of 2-dimensinal sound source tracking system was reported . This paper describes the method that can obtain thetime lag between three signas and the theory of cross-correlation analysis and subtraction method for cauculating the time lag by using the digital signal data sequences. And a series of experiments were carried out for various position of sound source in the range from 200m to 530cm.

Especially, it is getting highly appear to the expectation about the environment friendly buildings in Kangwon-do where has greacefully clean environment. The guide line for Kangwon-do can be arranged to the following through the varity analysis, outside enviroment, color, construction materials, outside design etc the guide line for Kangwon-do can be arranged as to the followings. It appears to be suitable to country houses in kangwon-do that is made of timber or red-bricks with green half circled roof and give a sense of warmth and soft. but the coastal area village is appeared wave style roof with orange color and surrounded by natural building stones or a line- plastered wall making complicated.

This study is to investigate the cognition and usage of traditional wedding food in Seoul & Gyeonggi area. It provides the basic suggestions for developing the best wedding culture, upholding the great wedding tradition. People usually prepared traditional wedding food only because they had to do since they thought it was a formal way to do it at a wedding ceremony. However, there should be more important things to be considered. Firstly, to understand the real meaning of traditional wedding food, we need to inform its meaning by starting campaigns on wedding culture or making booklets of traditional wedding food. Secondly, to prepare the right selections of traditional food, we need to simplify traditional wedding food and consider the modern sense of the products. Thirdly, to improve traditional wedding food, we need to develop diverse menu. By doing it, we can efficiently reduce the cost of wedding food.

This paper investigates what informal knowledge and strategies fifth-grade students brought to a classroom and how much they had potential to solve fraction division story problems. The findings show that most of the participants were engaged to understand the meaning of fraction division prior to their formal instruction at school. In order to solve the story problems, the informal knowledge related to fractions as well as division was actively utilized in student's strategies and justification. Students also used various informal strategies from mental calculation, direct modeling, to relational thinking. Formal instructions about fraction division at schools can be facilitated for sense-making of this complex fraction division conception by unpacking informal knowledge and thinking they might bring to the classrooms.

This study aimed to explore EFL learners' beliefs and preferences about reading tasks and to examine the reading processes that they use for making sense of text. The subjects were comprised of 107 college students who were non-English majors and aged 19-28 years. Based on scores achieved on a reading comprehension test, they were divided into two groups (more-skilled and less-skilled readers) and asked to respond to a survey in class. The results of the survey revealed that: (1) a majority rate themselves as fair readers, which might be indicative of the insecurity they feel toward L2 reading; (2) authentic texts (especially magazines) and popular media appear to be their favorite reading materials; (3) unknown vocabulary is a major impediment to their L2 reading comprehension; (4) the more-skilled readers manifest a meaning centered view of reading, whereas the less-skilled readers center on vocabulary; and (5) both groups employ a multistrategic approach to L2 reading; however, the less-skilled readers are less successful in determining the meaning of unknown vocabulary. Pedagogical implications for EFL classroom teachers are provided.
