The Combined Effects of Metalinguistic Explanation and Self-Correction on Improving EFL Writing Accuracy

  • This study examined whether self-correction or metalinguistic explanation might make a difference in the ability to accurately write two English grammatical structures when learners received indirect teacher feedback in the form of underlining target errors in a Korean EFL college classroom. With the goal of helping low-proficiency students improve their ability to accurately write sentences including nonfinite present participial relative clauses and present participial constructions, four groups were formed: a group which received indirect feedback, a group which received indirect feedback and metalinguistic explanation, a group which received indirect feedback and self-corrected errors, and a group which received indirect feedback and self-corrected errors after receiving metalinguistic explanation. The results showed that the effects of either metalinguistic explanation or self-correction integrated with indirect feedback on learners' ability to accurately write the target structures were not meaningful, while the combined effects of metalinguistic explanation and self-correction were statistically significant.

자세교정프로그램에 따른 자세유지 수행과 자기효능감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Posture Maintenance Performance and Self-Efficacy in accordance with Posture Correction Program)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the posture correction program as the development of the posture maintenance performance, and search for the more efficient posture correction program. The data analysis was processed by SPSS. The data was analysed with $x^2$-test, t-test, pearson product moment correlation, and stepwise regression analysis. The finding of this study is as follows: There are the homogeneity between two groups was verified on the know ledges CF=.697, df=2, P>.05), self-efficacy(F=.098, df=2, P>.05) about the posture. The developed posture correction program has proved to enhance the posture maintenance performance(knowledge t=1.60, P<.05 ; posture manintenance t=7.69, P<.01). The type of posture correction program showed some significant differences (t=5.62, P<.01) in the accuracy of movement way among the factors of the posture maintenance performance. The posture maintenance performance affected self-efficacy. Therefore, the major conclusion is as follows: The posture correction program was meaningfully effective on developing the posture maintenance, and with practice created accuracy much more on the posture maintenance movement way. The development of the posture maintenance performance affected the increase of self-efficacy about the posture. The self-efficacy has proved so powerful factor to influence on the posture maintenance performance development. So, the posture correction program should be done systematically and continually, and developing the posture maintenance performance should be done with practice. After the education, it should be reinforced through practice, midterm identification and reeducation and motivated with recognizing the accurate posture measurement. And it should be created the correction program to develop the high self-efficacy about the posture. It needs the strategy to educate the correct posture individually, and to spread to the society for healthy life style.

Objects of Research This research is purposed to find role and treatment mind of Sasang constitutional medicine in human genome age, through summarizing recognition of human and etiology. treatment on diseases proposed in Sasang constitutional medicine 2. Methods of Research It was researched as bibliologically with Dong-mu's chief medical writings such as ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Soose Bowon(東醫壽世保元)${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷${\lrcorner}$. 3. Results and Conclusions 1. The outlook on human of Sasang Constitutional Medicine was completed in the base on Confusianism and it recognized that human is consisted with congenital element based on 'Human nature-shape' and acquired element based on Knowledge-Acting. Dong-mu emphasised acquired element than inborn element. 2. Sasang Constitutional Medicine is thought that we ran overcome inborn limitation of each constitution through moral culture of aposteriori Knowledge-Acting. and that self-correction is methods which is applied to treatment of disease recovering Essential Qi of each constitution with moral culture of personality 3. Sasang Constitutional Medicine is recognizing Essential Qi by main standard that foretell prognosis of disease and emphasize recovery of Essential Qi through self-correction than way of 'Assisting-Good Qi' and 'Removig-Bad Qi' in treatment of disease. 4. Self-correction can be divided into non-herbal self-correction and herbal self-correction. Non-herbal self-correction is to control greed by aposteriori Knowledge-Acting and herbal self-correction is to recover Essential Qi by herb. 5. It is thought that the present constitutional disease is consisted by accumulating life habit nature of a disease of ordinary times, and Sasang Constitutional Medicine that present constitutional disease is treated through administration of life habit nature of a disease of ordinary times in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 6. Treatment mind to correct oneself into Golden Mean through controlling Knowledge-Acting in Sasang Constitutional Medicine may get into important treatment guide of gene medicine age.

p-type HPGe 검출기 특성에 따른 밀도 보정인자 의존도 평가 (Dependence Evaluation of the Self-Absorption Correction Factor for p-type High Purity Germanium Detector Characteristics)

  • HPGe 검출기를 이용하여 밀도가 다양한 환경시료에 대한 정밀 분석시 정확한 분석을 위해서는 밀도보정인자가 필요하다. 밀도에 대한 보정인자를 구하기 위해서 본 연구에서는 몬테카를로 코드인 MCNPX 코드를 사용하여 크리스털의 높이, 지름 및 코어의 크기와 같은 특성이 다른 세 대의 p-type HPGe 검출기를 모사하고 밀도 $1g/m^3$의 교정용 표준시료를 이용하여 모델링을 검증하였다. 검증을 통하여 모델링을 확정한 후 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.0, 1.2, $1.5g/m^3$ 밀도를 가진 샘플에 대한 효율을 시뮬레이션하고 밀도보정인자를 도출하였다. 도출된 각 검출기에 대한 밀도보정인자를 비교하였을 때 전 에너지 범위에서 그 차이가 거의 없음을 확인하였으며 이는 검출기의 크리스털과 같은 주요 특성에 대해 밀도보정인자가 독립적임을 의미한다.

  • 본 연구에서 개발된 Self-Adaptive Vision Correction Algorithm (SAVCA)은 광학적 특성을 모방하여 개발된 Vision Correction Algorithm (VCA)의 총 6개의 매개변수 중 자가 적응형태로 구축된 Division Rate 1 (DR1) 및 Division Rate 2 (DR2)를 제외한 Modulation Transfer Function Rate (MR), Astigmatic Rate (AR), Astigmatic Factor (AF) 및 Compression Factor (CF) 등 4개의 매개변수를 변경하여 사용성을 증대시키기 위해 제시되었다. 개발된 SAVCA의 검증을 위해 기존 VCA를 적용하였던 2개 변수를 갖는 수학 문제 (Six hump camel back 및 Easton and fenton) 및 30개 변수를 갖는 수학 문제 (Schwefel 및 Hyper sphere)에 적용한 결과 SAVCA는 비교한 다른 알고리즘 (Harmony Search, Water Cycle Algorithm, VCA, Genetic Algorithms with Floating-point representation, Shuffled Complex Evolution algorithm 및 Modified Shuffled Complex Evolution)에 비해 우수한 성능을 보여주었다. 마지막으로 공학 문제인 Speed reducer design에서도 SAVCA는 가장 좋은 결과를 보여주었다. 복잡한 매개변수 조절과정을 거치지 않은 SAVCA는 여러 분야에서 적용이 가능할 것이다.

  • In the detail reaction-rate measurements in a critical assembly using the foil activation method, the measured activations of detector foils have inevitably errors caused by detector foil self-shielding effect. If neutron flux could be approximated to Westcott flux: i.e. well thermalized Maxwellian distribution, these activations of detector foil could be corrected to represent the unperturbated flux at any detected position in the cell with using Westcott option and reaction-rate option of the lattice code, WIMS-AECL. These calculated detector material self-shielding correction factors of the tested fuel, CANFLEX provided much information about neutron spectrum of test lattice cell as well as the correction factors themselves. The results could be verified by another lattice calculations.

소년사법처리과정에 있는 청소년이 지각한 사회적 지지와 교정성에 관한 연구 (The Study of the Correction and Perceived Social Support by the Juvenile Delinquents in the Juvenile Justice Process)

  • 본 연구는 소년사법처리과정에 있는 청소년들이 인지한 사회적 지지와 비행교정성이 어떤 관계에 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 구체적인 연구문제로는 청소년의 사회적 지지유형별 지지수준에 따라 교정성에 어떤 차이가 있는지 하는 점과 사회적 지지제공자별 지지유형이 교정성을 어느 정도 설명하는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 대한 측정은 기존의 척도를 본 연구에 맞게 수정, 보완한 소년사법처리과정 청소년의 사회적 지지척도와 교정성 척도를 가지고 One way ANOVA, 다중회귀분석을 행하였는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적 지지유형에 따른 사법처리과정에서의 교정성 차이를 알아본 결과 정보적 지지는 자기반성에 있어서 유의미한 차이를 보였고 자존감 지지는 자아존중감, 법의식, 자기반성에 있어 유의미한 자이를 보였으며 정서적 지지는 자아존중감에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 사회적 지지제공자별 지지유형이 교정성 관련변인을 어느 정도 설명하는지를 조사한 결과 자아존중감, 법의식, 자기반성에서 유의한 결과가 나타났다. 즉 자아존중감은 친구의 자조적 지지와 지역사회의 정서적 지지와 관련이 높았고 법의식은 교사의 정보적 지지와 지역사회의 자존적 지지와 관련이 높았으며 자기반성은 친척의 자존적 지지와 정서적 지지와 관련이 높게 나왔다.

자기효능증진법을 병용한 척추교정운동이 척추측만증 중학생의 신체적, 심리적 기능에 미치는 효과 (Effects of an Exercise Program Including Promotion of Self-Efficacy on the Physical and Psychological Functions of Middle School Students with Minimal Scoliosis)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify the effects of an exercise correction program for scoliosis on the physical and psychological functions of middle-school students with scoliosis. Method: The design of this study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The students who participated in the study were 45 middle school students with scoliosis. Twenty-four students were assigned to the experimental group and 21 to the control group. The treatment given to the experimental group was a scoliosis correction exercise program. The scoliosis correction exercise program was given 3 times a week for a period of 12 weeks. Result: For Cobb's angle, a significant decrease was observed in the experimental group. For flexibility, the sit-and-reach test showed a significant increase in the experimental group. For depression, self-esteem and body satisfaction, the difference between the two groups was not significant. Conclusion: Based on the above results, the effects of a spine correction exercise program produced a decrease in Cobb's angle and an increase in the sit-and-reach test for flexibility. This program is not expensive and is convenient, and thus has been identified as a good nursing intervention for correcting scoliosis.

S밴드 이중편파레이더의 부분 빔 차폐영역 내 반사도 보정을 통한 지상강우추정 개선 (Improved Rainfall Estimation Based on Corrected Radar Reflectivity in Partial Beam Blockage Area of S-band Dual-Polarization Radar)

  • A correction method of reflectivity in partial beam blockage (PBB) area is suggested, which is based on the combination of digital terrain information and self-consistency principle between polarimetric observation. First, the reflectivity was corrected by adding the radar energy loss estimated from beam blockage simulation using digital elevation model (DEM) and beam propagation geometry in standard atmosphere. The additional energy loss by unexpected obstacles and non-standard beam propagation was estimated by using the coefficient between accumulated reflectivity ($Z_H$) and differences of differential phase shift (${\Phi}_{DP}$) along radial direction. The proposed method was applied to operational S-band dual-polarization radar at Jindo and its performance was compared with those of simulation method and self-consistency method for six rainfall cases. When the accumulated reflectivity and increment of ${\Phi}_{DP}$ along radial direction are too small, the self-consistency method has failed to correct the reflectivity while the combined method has corrected the reflectivity bias reasonably. The correction based on beam simulation showed the underestimation. For evaluation of rainfall estimation, the FBs (FRMSEs) of simulation method and self-consistency principle were -0.32 (0.59) and -0.30 (0.57), respectively. The proposed method showed the lowest FB (-0.24) and FRMSE (0.50). The FB and FMSE were improved by about 18% and by 19% in comparison to those before correction (-0.42 and 0.70). We can conclude that the proposed method can improve the accuracy of rainfall estimation in PBB area.

몬테카를로 전산해석을 이용한 콘크리트 코어시료의 직경과 밀도에 따른 보정인자 계산 (Calculation of the Correction Factors related to the Diameter and Density of the Concrete Core Samples using a Monte Carlo Simulation)

  • 콘크리트는 원자력 시설의 차폐용 구조물로 광범위하게 사용되고 있는 재료이다. 하지만, 시설의 해체 시 양적으로 가장 많이 발생하는 방사성 폐기물이기도하다. 콘크리트는 중성자를 포획하여 다양한 방사성 핵종을 생성하기 때문에 해체 전에 시료를 채취하여 방사능 측정 및 평가를 수행해야 한다. 측정은 주로 HPGe 검출기를 이용하는데 시료의 정확한 방사능 판정을 위해는 기하학적 보정인자, 자가흡수 보정인자, 계측기의 절대효율 등 효과적인 보정인자를 측정치에 반영해야 한다. 보정인자는 기하학적 및 화학적 상태가 실제 시료와 동일한 표준시료를 이용해서 동일한 측정조건 하에서 획득한다. 하지만, 콘크리트는 다양한 구성물질과 높은 밀도로 전처리가 제한적이므로 콘크리트 표준시료를 제작하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 또한 코어드릴(core drill)을 사용하여 채취되는 콘크리트 시료는 체적선원이므로 직경에 대한 기하학적 보정과 밀도에 대한 자가흡수에 대한 보정이 필수적이다. 따라서, 최근에는 많은 연구자들이 표준선원을 제작 후 측정하는 대신 몬테카를로 전산모사(Monte Carlo simulation)을 이용하여 효과적인 보정인자들을 계산하는 연구를 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Monte Carlo code 중 하나인 Geant4를 이용하여 방사화 콘크리트에서 가장 많이 생성되는 핵종인 152Eu, 60Co에서 방출되는 감마선 에너지에 대한 콘크리트 코어시료의 직경과 밀도에 따른 보정인자를 산출하였다.
