  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 선택적 페이딩 채널에서 (frequency selective fading channels) 인지 무선 통신을 위한 Alamouti 코딩 기반 협력 전송 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 시간 반전 연산과 (time-reversal operation) 공액 복소 연산을 (conjugate operation) 사용하는 기존 기법과 다르게 소스 노드에서의 간단한 심볼 조합을 통해 목적지 노드에서 Alamouti 부호 구조를 획득한다. 모의실험 결과를 통하여 제안한 기법의 다이버시티 이득 차수가 기존 기법의 다이버시티 이득 차수보다 높은 것을 확인한다.

  • In this study we developed a turbidity management system to support the operation for effective turbid water management. The decision-making system includes various models for prediction of turbid water inflow, effective reservoir operation using the selective withdrawal facility, analysis of turbid water discharge in the downstream. The system is supported by the intensive monitoring devices installed in the upstream rivers, reservoirs, and downstream rivers. SWAT and HSPF models were constructed to predict turbid water flows in the Imha and Andong catchments. CE-QUAL-W2 models were constructed for turbid water behavior prediction, and various analyses were conducted to examine the effects of the selective withdrawal operation for efficient high turbid water discharge, turbid water distribution under differing amount and locations of turbid water discharge. A 1-dimensional dynamic water quality model was built using Ko-Riv1 for simulation of turbidity propagation in the downstream of the reservoirs, and 2-dimensional models were developed to investigate the mixing phenomena of two waters discharged from the Andong and Imha reservoirs with different temperature and turbidity conditions during joint dam operation for reducing the impacts of turbid water.

A Modified Selective Ground Relay for Ungrounded Distribution Systems

  • Selective ground relays (SGRs) are useful fur distinguishing a faulted feeder from the sound feeders in ungrounded systems. However, they sometimes mis-operate due to human or device errors. Particularly, the reversed polarity of zero-sequence current transducers (ZCTs) is the most frequent cause of mis-operation. This paper presents a modified SGR for reducing the probability of mis-operations caused by the reversed polarity of ZCTs. The modification is achieved by introducing an adaptive time delay, which depends on the magnitude of the zero-sequence current and the phase angle deviation from the reference. The modified SGR was successfully demonstrated on a sample ungrounded system without mis-operation.

  • 최근 WLAN을 이용한 실내 위치인식 방법 중 하나인 Fingerprint 기법은 신호의 반사 및 굴절에 의한 페이딩 현상에 강인하여 많이 연구되고 있다. 그러나 이 방법은 신호의 수집과 데이터베이스와 측정된 신호의 비교 연산의 과정에서 요구되는 시간과 연산량이 많다. 본 논문에서는 연산량을 줄이기 위하여 제안한 변형된 데이터베이스를 기반으로 실시간으로 수집되는 신호의 선택적 연산을 이용한 WLAN 실내 위치인식 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 신호의 세기에 따른 선형보간과 문턱치를 통하여 데이터베이스의 구성 시간 및 크기를 줄이고, 실시간으로 측정되는 신호의 선택적 연산을 통해 연산량은 감소시키면서 위치정확도를 유지하였다. 실험결과 제안한 알고리즘은 실내 복도 환경에서 기존의 Fingerprint 기법 대비 정확도를 17.8% 향상시켰으며 연산량은 평균 46% 감소되는 것을 확인하였다.

선택저장 자료구조를 이용한 복합다양체 모델의 불리언 작업 (Boolean Operation of Non-manifold Model with the Data Structure of Selective Storage)

  • The non-manifold geometric modeling technique is to improve design process and to Integrate design, analysis, and manufacturing by handling mixture of wireframe model, surface model, and solid model in a single data structure. For the non-manifold geometric modeling, Euler operators and other high level modeling methods are necessary. Boolean operation is one of the representative modeling method for the non-manifold geometric modeling. This thesis studies Boolean operations of non-manifold model with the data structure of selective storage. The data structure of selective storage is improved non-manifold data structure in that existing non-manifold data structures using ordered topological representation method always store non-manifold information even if edges and vortices are in the manifold situation. To implement Boolean operations for non-manifold model, intersection algorithm for topological cells of three different dimensions, merging and selection algorithm for three dimensional model, and Open Inventor(tm), a 3D toolkit from SGI, are used.

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the optimal settings for the selected DC fault relay (50F) to improve the operating performance for the high-speed circuit breaker on DC feeding system which ensure safety within rolling stock maintenance depot. In this study, current supplied to overhead contact wire was calculated on 1 ms interval to analyze the correction values of DC fault selective relay for the operation of current supply cutout. Particularly, standards for the accurate detection of accidents between an electric railway vehicle and the electric power facilities are shown by investigating the optimal correction values for detection of fault current, and the results indicated that it takes about 213 ms for the DC fault selective relay(50F) to fully open. In the future, the correction values of DC fault selective relay suggested in this paper will be used as the reference values of protective relay for the safe operation of DC electric railroad system such as urban railway.

Parallel Control of Shunt Active Power Filters in Capacity Proportion Frequency Allocation Mode

  • A parallel control strategy in capacity proportion frequency allocation mode for shunt active power filters (APFs) is proposed to overcome some of the difficulties in high power applications. To improve the compensation accuracy and overall system stability, an improved selective harmonic current control based on multiple synchronous rotating reference coordinates is presented in a single APF unit, which approximately implements zero steady-state error compensation. The combined decoupling strategy is proposed and theoretically analyzed to simplify selective harmonic current control. Improved selective harmonic current control forms the basis for multi-APF parallel operation. Therefore, a parallel control strategy is proposed to realize a proper optimization so that the APFs with a larger capacity compensate more harmonic current and the ones with a smaller capacity compensate less harmonic current, which is very practical for accurate harmonic current compensation and stable grid operation in high power applications. This is verified by experimental results. The total harmonic distortion (THD) is reduced from 29% to 2.7% for a typical uncontrolled rectifier load with a resistor and an inductor in a laboratory platform.

A Four-Channel Laser Array with Four 10 Gbps Monolithic EAMs Each Integrated with a DBR Laser

  • A distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) laser and a high speed electroabsorption modulator (EAM) are integrated on the basis of the selective area growth technique. The typical threshold current is 4 to 6 mA, and the side mode suppression ratio is over 40 dB with single mode operation at 1550 nm. The DBR laser exhibits 2.5 to 3.3 mW fiber output power at a laser gain current of 100 mA, and a modulator bias voltage of 0 V. The 3 dB bandwidth is 13 GHz. A 10 Gbps non-return to zero operation with 12 dB extinction ratio is obtained. A four-channel laser array with 100 GHz wavelength spacing was fabricated and its operation at the designed wavelength was confirmed.

  • 일반적으로 머신러닝을 수행하기 위해서는 딥러닝 모델에 대한 사전 지식과 경험이 필요하고, 데이터를 연산하기 위해 고성능 하드웨어와 많은 시간이 필요하게 된다. 이러한 이유로 머신러닝은 임베디드 프로세서에서 실행하기에는 많은 제약이 있다.본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 머신러닝의 과정 중 콘볼루션 연산(Convolution operation)에 유전 알고리즘을 적용하여 선택적 콘볼루션 연산(Selective convolution operation)과 학습 방법을 제안한다. 선택적 콘볼루션 연산에서는 유전 알고리즘에 의해 추출된 픽셀에 대해서만 콘볼루션을 수행하는 방식이다. 이 방식은 유전 알고리즘에서 지정한 비율만큼 픽셀을 선택하여 연산하는 방식으로 연산량을 지정된 비율만큼 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 유전 알고리즘을 적용한 머신러닝 연산의 심화학습을 진행하여 해당 세대의 적합도가 목표치에 도달하는지 확인하고 기존 방식의 연산량과 비교한다. 적합도가 충분히 수렴할 수 있도록 세대를 반복하여 학습하고, 적합도가 높은 모델을 유전 알고리즘의 교배와 돌연변이를 통해 다음 세대의 연산에 활용한다.

High Level O2배가스중 NO 저감에 대한 선택적비촉매환원 반응특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristic of NO Reduction by High Level O2Gas in Selective Non-Catalystic Reaction)

  • Selective catalytic reduction and selective non-catalytic reduction processes are mainly used to treat nitrogen oxidants generated from fossil-fuel combustion. Especially, the selective non-catalytic reduction process can be operated more economical and designed more simply than the selective catalytic reduction. For this reason, many researchers carried out to increase the removal efficiency of nitrogen oxidants in the condition of low oxygen concentration by using the selective non-catalytic reduction process. However, this study was flue gas contained high oxygen concentration of 20(v/v%) with ammonia as a reducing agent. Moreover, it carried out experiment with many factors that are reaction temperature, retention time, initial NO concentration, NSR(normalized stoichiometric ratio). It was determined optimal operating conditions to improve NO removal efficiency with SNCR process. The De-NOx efficiency was increased with NSR, initial NO concentration and retention time increasement. This study has NO removal efficiency over 80% in the high oxygen concentration as well as low oxygen concentration. The injection of reducing agent may be considered for SNCR process and facility operation in 850$\^{C}$ of optimal condition.
