  • 최근 미래 모빌리티 시장의 급격한 성장으로 자동차에 전장부품이 다량 탑재되면서 부품간 오작동을 최소화하기 위해 자동차 시장에서도 전자파 차폐에 대한 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 따라 전기전도성 고분자 복합소재(Conductive Polymer Composites, CPC)가 자동차용 차폐재로 각광받고 있으나, 산업에 일반적으로 요구되는 20 dB 이상의 전자파 차폐 성능 달성을 위해서는 고 함량의 전도성 필러 충진이 요구되므로 기계적 물성 향상, 원가 절감 측면에서 CPC의 전도성 필러 함량을 줄이기 위한 연구가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 이 중 필러 함량을 획기적으로 줄일 수 있는 Segregated structure 필러 네트워크 기반의 CPC를 제조하기 위한 공법들을 소개하고, 각 제조 공법 별 전자파 차폐 성능을 비교하고 분석하였다.

Electronic structure and magnetism of catalytic material Pt3Ni surfaces: Density-functional study

  • A Pt-skin $Pt_3Ni$(111) surface was reported to show high catalytic activity. In this study, we investigated the magnetic properties and electronic structures of the various oriented surfaces of bulk-terminated and Pt-segregated $Pt_3Ni$ by using a first-principles calculation method. The magnetic moments of Pt and Ni are appreciably enhanced at the bulk-terminated surfaces compared to the corresponding bulk values, whereas the magnetic moment of Pt on the Pt-segregated $Pt_3Ni$(111) surface is just slightly enhanced because of the reduced number of Ni neighboring atoms. Spin-decomposed density of states shows that the dz2 orbital plays a dominant role in determining the magnetic moments of Pt atoms in the different orientations. The lowering of the d-band center energy (-2.22 eV to -2.46 eV to -2.51 eV to -2.65 eV) in the sequence of bulk-terminated (100), (110), (111), and Pt-segregated (111) may explain the observed dependence of catalytic activity on surface orientation. Our d-band center calculation suggests that an observed enhanced catalytic activity of a $Pt_3Ni$(111) surface originates from the Pt-segregation.

Magnetism during adsorption of oxygen in Pt segregated $Pt_3Ni$ (111): Density Functional Study

  • Limited understanding of the surface properties of $Pt_3Ni$ for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) has motivated the study of magnetic properties and electronic structures of Pt segregated $Pt_3Ni$ (111) surface during adsorption of oxygen molecule on it. The first principle method based on density functional theory (DFT) is carried out. Nonmagnetic Pt has induced magnetic moment due to strong hybridization between Ni 3d and Pt 5d. It is found that an oxygen molecule prefers bridge site with Pt rich subsurface environment for adsorption on the surface of Pt segregated $Pt_3Ni$ (111). It is seen that there is very small charge transfer from $O_2$ to Pt. The curve of energy versus magnetic moment of the oxygen explains the magnetic moments in transition states. We found the dissociation barrier of 1.07eV significantly higher than dissociation barrier 0.77eV on Pt (111) suggesting that the dissociation is more difficult on Pt segregated $Pt_3Ni$ (111) surface. The spin polarized densities of states are presented in order to understand electronic structures of Pt and $O_2$ during the adsorption in detail.

Examining the Residential Patterns of Urban Immigrants in Seoul Metropolitan Area

  • This paper measures and maps multi-dimensional residential segregation of immigrants in Seoul metropolitan area at city/county/district level as well as town level, thereby adding to our understanding of the urban structure and its spatial distribution impacted by immigration. The perspective offered here focuses on the segregation spurred by transnational migrants and their urban settlement. By drawing population data for 79 city/county/district administrative units from the Korea Immigration Service, residential segregation of immigrants in Seoul metropolitan area is measured based on Massey & Denton's four segregation indices: evenness, exposure, concentration and clustering. The empirical findings suggest that Seoul metropolitan area is highly segregated and the areas showing hyper-segregation appear in Seoul city and Gyeonggi province. As immigrants are foreseen to continue to increase in the future, this research contributes both empirically and theoretically to preliminary research on spatial segregation of immigrants by showing how ethnic places are segregated spatially through ethnic networks that support the geographic concentration of minority groups.

WC기 초경합금중 WC/WC界面의 구조와 입계편석 (Stucture and Intergranular Segregation of WC/WC Grain Boundaries in WC-Based Cemented Carbides)

  • WC-Co와 WC-Co 초경합금중 WC/WC 입계의 구조와 입계 편석상태를 알아볼 목적으로 HRTEM과 EDS를 이용하여 연구하였다. 일부의 입계들은 액상에 의하여 분리된 상태로 관찰되었으나, 상당수는 원자적 상태의 연소계면이었다. 또 연속계면 중 WC-Co 합금에서는 Co 상이 편석되어 있었으며, WC-VC-Co 합금에서는 Co와 V이 동시에 편석되어 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그 편석의 폭은 약6nm이었다. 연속 계면 중 V의 편석은 소결 또는 열처리 시에 일어나는 입계 이동을 억제하는 데 효과적인 역할을 할 것으로 여겨졌다. 동시에 이것은 WC-Co 초경합금에서 VC 첨가에 의한 입성상 억제기구를 설명할 수 있는 것으로 사료되었다.

  • We have investigated electric field effect on the formation of phase separated composite organic film structure which is utilized by anisotropic phase separation from LC and prepolymer mixtures. Application of bias field resulted in a significant change in liquid crystal alignment between glass substrate and polymer layer. The liquid crystal molecules segregated into the inter-electrodes and formed twisted structure which is the result of imprinting of LC alignment by the bias field on polymer layers during polymerization process.

The application of BEM in the Membrane structures interaction with simplified wind

  • Membrane structures are quite sensitive to wind and therefore the fluid-solid interaction can not be neglected in dynamic analysis. A boundary element method (BEM) for 3D simulation of wind-structure interaction in tensile membrane structures is presented in this paper. The flow is treated as incompressible and potential. The flow field is solved with boundary element method codes and structural simulation is performed by finite element method software ANSYS. The nonlinear equations system is solved iteratively, with segregated treatment of the fluid and structure equations. Furthermore this method has been demonstrated to be effective by typical examples. Besides, the influence of several parameters on the wind-structure interaction, such as rise-span ratio, prestress and the wind velocity are investigated according to this method. The results provide experience in wind resistant researches and engineering.

  • 본 연구는 패트리네트를 이용한 소프트웨어의 이해용이성에 기인한 효율적인 복 잡도방법을 제시한다. 일반적으로 제어의 흐름에 있어서는 순차성과 조건문 그리고 반복문에 의한 구조적인 구분이 가능하므로 본 논문에서는 그러한 구조적인 부문을 패트리네트로 표현하여 각각의 이해용이성에 기인한 복잡도를 산출하여 종합적인 총 복잡도를 산출하였다. 또한 기존의 다른 복잡도와의 상관관계를 분석함으로 새로운 복 잡도의 신뢰성도 증명하였다.

  • The effect of welding condition on the microstructures of the weld metal in A7N01 welded by $CO_2$ laser was investigated. The number of ripples was increased with decreasing power and increasing welding speed. In the bead without ripple lines, the subgrain microstructures distribution from the fusion line toward the center of the bead were in the order of cellular, dendritic and equiaxed dendrite. However, in the bead with ripple lines, cellular and dendritic were formed between the fusion boundary and the ripple line. Inaddition, those structures were also observed between the ripple line. Equiaxed dendrites were formed only at the center line region. Cellular and dendritics formed near the ripple line were larger than those formed near the fusion boundary. The cooling rates estimated by the dendrite arm spacing were in the range of 200 to 1150oC/s. Cooling rate was increased with decreasing the power and increasing the welding speed. Mg and Zn segregated at the boundaries of cellulars and dendritics, Mg was segregated more than Zn. The segregation of Mg and Zn decreased with increasing cooling rate. Hardness of the weld metal was lower than that of the base metal in all welding conditions and increased as the cooling rate increased.

용접 저온균열 감수성에 미치는 중심 편석의 영향 (Effects of Center Segregation on Weld Cold Cracking Susceptibility)

  • Correlation between microstructural features and segregation of elements (Si, Mn, P and S) near the mid of thickness in the base metal and the synthetic HAZ was investigated. Furthermore, the relationship between the degree of center segregation and weld cold cracking susceptibility in the thickness direction was also conducted by evaluating the effect of P concentration on the critical applied stress. The results obtained are as follows: 1) Pearlite band, containing the MnS type inclusion and a locally transformed structure with a higher hardness, was observed in the center segregation region. 2) By the weld thermal cycle, center segregation region was transformed to the white band which had a higher hardness than that of base metal due to a greater hardenability of concentrated Mn, P etc.. 3) Weld cold cracking susceptibility in the thickness direction was mainly dependent on the concentration of impurity elements rather than on the number of the segregated particles near the mid of thickness. 4) During welding, the higher concentrated region was easily changed into white band. Therefore, it could be predicted that the initiation and propagation of a cold crack would be promoted by increasing the restraint stress and hydrogen content.
