Purpose : DIR image is relatively free from susceptibility artifacts therefore, DIR image can make it possible to reliably measure cortical thickness/volume. One drawback of the DIR acquisition is the long scan time to acquire the fully sampled 3D data set. To solve this problem, we applied a parallel imaging method (GRAPPA) and verify the reliability of using the volumetric study. Materials and methods : Six healthy volunteers (3 males and 3 females; age $25.33{\pm}2.25$ years) underwent MRI using the 3D DIR sequence at a 3.0T Siemens Tim Trio MRI scanner. GRAPPA simulation was performed from the fully sampled data set for reduction factor 2. Data reconstruction was performed using MATLAB R2009b. Freesurfer v.4.3.0 was used to evaluate the cortical thickness of the entire brain, and to extract white matter information from the DIR image, Analyze 9.0 was used. The global cortical thickness estimated from the reconstructed image was compared with reference image by using a T-test in SPSS. Results : Although reduced SNR and blurring are observed from the reconstructed image, in terms of segmentation the effect was not so significant. The volumetric result was validated that there were no significant differences in many cortical regions. Conclusion : This study was performed with DIR image for a volumetric MRI study. To solve the long scan time of 3D DIR imaging, we applied GRAPPA algorithm. According to the results, fast imaging can be done with reduction factor 2 with little loss of image quality at 3.0T.
Purpose - It is widely accepted that the process of developing marketing strategy is composed of three steps: market segmentation, target market selection and positioning. However, mass marketing strategy based on cost reduction through economies of scale and standardized products, can be also an effective strategic option. Many marketing scholars including Theodore Levitt emphasize the importance of applying the mass production concept to various industries including service industries. Especially, in times of economic downturn, the capability of providing consumers with low-priced, value products can be an important source of competitive advantage, as well as the ability of providing high-priced premium products. Marketers should decide whether they will implement mass marketing strategy or target marketing strategy. The present study theoretically shows that firms should understand the target customers' price elasticity as well as the firm's cost structure in order to make such a strategic decision. Research design, data, and methodology - Instead of implementing an empirical study, this study provides a theoretical(mathematical) investigation on the effect of consumers' price elasticity on a firm's optimal price level, profit, sales volume, revenue, and cost. The results are mostly deduced from derivative calculations and several graphs are utilized to represent the results on the relationships between the variables under study. Results - The analytical results suggest that it is more profitable for a firm to adopt the segment/target marketing strategy (more specifically the differentiation strategy) when the degree of consumers' heterogeneity is high and the proportion of the fixed cost in the total cost is low. On the other hand, if the degree of consumers' heterogeneity is low and the fixed cost is high, it is better to adopt the mass marketing strategy or the cost leadership strategy. The strategy of concentrating on a single target market will be effective when consumers' needs are highly heterogeneous but the fixed cost is high. Any of the three types of generic strategies proposed my Porter(1980, 1985) can be applied when both the consumers' heterogeneity and the fixed cost are low. This study also proposes the contribution-margin-based method for developing the optimal pricing strategy. Conclusions - One of the primary roles of marketers is to find a proper compromise between the two conflicting goals of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing cost. In order to do so, he or she should understand the characteristics of the target customers as well as the cost structure of the firm. In addition to the theoretical analyses, this study discusses several business cases and explains how superior companies find the optimal compromise position between these two goals and dominate the market. One of the radical changes recently taking place in business arena is the reduction of production and distribution costs of both physical goods and information due to the advancement and the wide diffusion of information technology. The cost reduction combined with lowered priced elasticity incurred by customized products and services, will enable many firms to adopt the mass customization strategy.
The human mandible is always under the condition of loading by the various forces extorted by the attached muscles. The loading is an important condition of the stomatognathic system. This condition is composed of the direction and amount of forces of the masticatory muscles, which are controlled by the neuromuscular system, and always influenced by the movement of both opening and closing. Mandible is a strong foundation for the teeth or various prostheses, nevetheless it is a elastic body which accompanies deformation by the external forces on it. The elastic properties of the mandible is influenced by the various procedures such as conventional restorative treatments, osseointegrated implant treatments, reconstructive surgical procedures and so forth. Among the treatments the osseointegrated implant has no periodontal ligaments, which exist around the natural teeth to allow physiologic mobility in the alveolar socket. And so around the osseointegrated implant, there is almost no damping effect during the transmission of occlusal stress and displacements. If the osseointegrated implants are connected by the superstructure for the stabilization and effective distribution of occlusal stresses, the elastic properties of mandible is restricted according to the extent of 'splinting' by the superstructure and implants. To investigate the change of elastic behaviour of the mandible which has osseointegrated implant prosthesis of various numbers of implant installment and span of superstructre, a three dimensional finite element model was developed and analyzed with conditions mentioned above. The conclusions are as follows : 1. The displacements are primarily developed at the area of muscle attachment and distributed all around the mandible according to the various properties of bone. 2. The segmentation in the superstructure has few influence on the distribution of stress and displacement. 3. In the load case of ICP, the concentration of tensional stress was observed at the anterior portion of the ramus($9.22E+6N/m^2$) and at the lingual portion of the symphysis menti($8.36E+6N/m^2$). 4. In the load case of INC, the concentration of tensional stress was observed at the anterior portion of the ramus($9.90E+6N/m^2$) and the concentration of tensional stress was observed at the lingual portion of the symphysis menti($2.38E+6N/m^2$)). 5. In the load case of UTCP, the relatively high concentration of tensional stress($3.66E+7N/m^2$) was observed at the internal surface of the condylar neck.
This study reviews the trend of job separation rates for three years from 2002 to 2005 and investigates the various elements which influence this trend, especially the role of the labor unions, by using Korean Labor Panel data. In the basic statistics, the job retention rate of union members were higher by an average of 28.3% points compared to non-union members, but in the results of controlling the observed variables of individual influences in changing jobs, it was estimated that unions increase the job retention rate by 11% to 13% points. To investigate the effect of unions on the job stability of workers in detail, the non-linear decomposition method developed by Fairlie (2003) was used in the analysis. In examining the difference of job separation rates between union members and non-union members through observed variables of workers in explainable parts and unexplainable parts by using the non-linear decomposition technique, the contribution of the explainable part was estimated to be 67% to 74% and the unexplainable part accounted for the rest which was 26% to 33%. This suggests that not only does the union contribute to the job stability of its members, but the propensity to change jobs for a worker who is a union member is on average lower than that of a worker who is not a union member or who works at an establishment that does not have a union. The results of the empirical analysis show that the job stability effect of labor unions is limited within the boundary of a maximum 7% to 9% points. The reason for the effect of labor unions on job stability being so low is due to various reasons such as collective bargaining structure by company, intensified business competition after the financial crisis, and labor market segmentation.

As the first step in developing the urban information system it is very important to identify the location of the street, and the feature of objects on it Also it is necessary to understand the relationship between objects concerned. In order to manage these information efficiently, the road information should be well organized and standardized for digital data. Because the road is the base place under which most urban utilities are buried. However, the present real situation is that even if we have unique numbers authorized by law for some parts of the road it is too ambiguous to figure out the spatial location of the specific area because the assigned area is so large and incoherent. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a road location identication scheme, to apply this scheme at Kangnam-ku Seoul, and finally to propose the guideline in developing the road management information system in Korea. The road identification scheme developed in this study are as follows: (1) The road is defined as a fixed factor, and was given the identification number which repressents the funtion, relationship, and direction of the road without the road section and absolute coordinates. (2) The parcel identification nutter was given to each route to understand it possible to understand the location of the road itself and surroundings. (3) To update the md information using the scheme developed in this study relative coordinate method(Dynamic Segmentation) based on the road centerline was applied.
The Industrial Classification is a systematic taxonomy of industrial activities and the Standard Industrial Classification is used in all country by their own a consistent classification method. Therefore, it is employed to analyze current status of industry affairs using statistical investigations in terms industrial activities for making industrial policies and to compare industrial activity among countries. Since the Second Industrial Revolution, the need for the homogenous standard of industrial classification among countries emerged as the economic and industrial exchanges between the countries have became more active. In 1940, Colin Clark who british economist divided the industry into the first (primitive), second (processed), and third (service) industries. Based on this, the United Nations Office for Statistics (UNSD) established International Standard Industry Classification (ISIC) in 1948, which most countries invoke it. ISIC(International Standard Industry Classification) and the standard industry classifications of countries have reached the present after several revisions since the enactment of the Act. In the 2000s, the standard industry classification is amended to reflect the emergence of new industries and changes in industrial structure, mainly featuring the creation and segmentation of sections in the tertiary industry domains. It also shows that primary and secondary sectors are shifting to tertiary industry. In this study, the causes of these common phenomena are systematically identified and the problems present classification systems have been analyzed. Also proposed is the direction of formation of the industrial classification system from a service economy point of view and the conceptual model of the new classification system. In the future, it is necessary to validate the proposed model through this study and to carry out various new classification system studies.

The Korea Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries launched a public data portal service in January 2015. The service provides customized information for consumers through an agri-food recommendation system built-in portal service. The recommendation system has fallowing characteristics. First, the system can increase recommendation accuracy by using a wide variety of agri-food related data, including SNS opinion mining, consumer's purchase data, climate data, and wholesale price data. Second, the system uses segmentation method based on consumer's lifestyle and megatrends factors to overcome the cold start problem. Third, the system recommends agri-foods to users reflecting various preference contextual factors by using recommendation algorithm, dirichlet-multinomial distribution. In addition, the system provides diverse information related to recommended agri-foods to increase interest in agri-food of service users.

Purpose: To investigate whether volumetric analysis based on T2WI and contrast-enhanced (CE) T1WI can distinguish between isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 mutation-positive ($IDH1^P$) and -negative ($IDH1^N$) glioblastomas (GBMs). Materials and Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 109 patients with histopathologically proven GBMs after surgery or stereotactic biopsy and preoperative MR imaging. We measured the whole-tumor volume in each patient using a semiautomatic segmentation method based on both T2WI and CE T1WI. We compared the tumor volumes between $IDH1^P$ (n = 12) and $IDH1^N$ (n = 97) GBMs using an unpaired t-test. In addition, we performed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis for the differentiation of $IDH1^P$ and $IDH1^N$ GBMs using the tumor volumes based on T2WI and CE T1WI. Results: The mean tumor volume based on T2WI was larger for $IDH1^P$ GBMs than $IDH1^N$ GBMs ($108.8{\pm}68.1$ and $59.3{\pm}37.3mm^3$, respectively, P = 0.0002). In addition, $IDH1^P$ GBMs had a larger tumor volume on CE T1WI than did $IDH1^N$ tumors ($49.00{\pm}40.14$ and $22.53{\pm}17.51mm^3$, respectively, P < 0.0001). ROC analysis revealed that the tumor volume based on T2WI could distinguish $IDH1^P$ from $IDH1^N$ with a cutoff value of 90.25 (P < 0.05): 7 of 12 $IDH1^P$ (58.3%) and 79 of 97 $IDH1^N$ (81.4%). Conclusion: Volumetric analysis of T2WI and CE T1WI could enable $IDH1^P$ GBMs to be distinguished from $IDH1^N$ GBMs. We assumed that secondary GBMs with $IDH1^P$ underwent stepwise progression and were more infiltrative than those with $IDH1^N$, which might have resulted in the differences in tumor volume.
The hypothetical nature of stated preferences can lead to a hypothetical bias that might work as a normative pressure, influencing survey responses. This paper aims to test the impact of social desirability bias by comparing economic estimates based on both subjective and objective valuation questions. The case study is about an urban riverine restoration project in Deajeon, South Korea. As valuation methods both contingent valuation and choice experiments were comparatively applied. Based on a nationally representative sample of 1,000 respondents, the test results offered contrasting conclusions between two test approaches. Accroding to the estimation results based on the conventional valuation, the marginal willingness to pay estimates are 10,500 KRW from CV; and 18,600 KRW for improving water quality, 2,200 KRW for the inside view, 8,900 KRW for the outside view, and 5,800 KRW for biodiversity from CE. A segmentation-based approach is a conventionally used method, which showed a limited impact of social desirability on willingness to pay estimates. The alternative parameterization-based approach measures a model-wide impact of social desirability, proving a significant bias. Although the study positioned a cheap-talk statement before the valuation section of the survey questionnaires, which might have pre-screened the bias, the overall implications of the results suggest a caution in reducing and observing hypothetical bias. There might remain a significant and substantial hypothetical bias even after cheap-talk, particularly in situations with strong social desirability, so that the potential role of objective valuation questions is guaranteed.
The purpose of this study is to develop an Android smartphone app providing analysis capabilities of remote sensing images, by using mobile browsing open sources of gvSIG, open source remote sensing software of OTB and open source DBMS of PostgreSQL. In this app, five kinds of remote sensing algorithms for filtering, segmentation, or classification are implemented, and the processed results are also stored and managed in image database to retrieve. Smartphone users can easily use their functions through graphical user interfaces of app which are internally linked to application server for image analysis processing and external DBMS. As well, a practical tiling method for smartphone environments is implemented to reduce delay time between user's requests and its processing server responses. Till now, most apps for remotely sensed image data sets are mainly concerned to image visualization, distinguished from this approach providing analysis capabilities. As the smartphone apps with remote sensing analysis functions for general users and experts are widely utilizing, remote sensing images are regarded as information resources being capable of producing actual mobile contents, not potential resources. It is expected that this study could trigger off the technological progresses and other unique attempts to develop the variety of smartphone apps for remote sensing images.
