중등 과학교사들이 말하는 교과교육학지식의 의미와 교직 전문성 제고 방안 (Definition of Pedagogical Content Knowledge and Ways of Raising Teaching Professionalism as Examined by Secondary School Science Teachers)

  • 본 연구에서는 6명의 교사들과의 심층면담을 통하여 과학교사들이 말하는 교사 전문성의 구성요소, 교과교육학지식의 의미, 교과교육학지식의 사례를 살펴보았다. 또한 전문직으로서 교직의 부족한 부분, 즉 교직이 완전한 전문직으로 거듭나기 위해 보완해야할 부분과 교사의 전문성 발달을 위한 지원 방안을 고찰하였다. 동료교사들로부터 추천을 받은 6명의 교사들은 과학교사 전문성의 구성요소를 과학 내용 지식, 교수방법에 대한 지식, 학생들에 대한 지식, 전문성 개발을 위해 노력하는 자세 등이라고 설명하였다. 이들은 전문직으로서 교사의 고유한 지식 영역에 해당되는 교과교육학지식, 즉 사회의 일반 구성원들이 교사가 소유하고 있기를 기대하는 교과교육학지식을 학생 이해 자체를 목적으로 한 교사의 체화된 지식이며, 과학교사들이 나름대로 지니고 있는 교과교육학지식은 어떻게 하면 학생들이 알아듣게 가르칠 것인가들 오랫동안 고민한 결과 축적된 노하우라고 설명하였다. 과학교사들은 전문직으로서 교직의 문제점이나 부족한 부분으로 책임을 묻지 않는 시스템, 지속적인 자기 개발에 대한 외부의 인정과 요구 결여, 동료의식의 부족, 자신감 부족에서 비롯된 폐쇄성, 업무량 과다. 관리자의 경영 능력이나 목표 의식 부재, 교사 자격시험의 신뢰도와 타당도 부족, 교직의 전문성에 대한 사회적 인식이나 처우 부족 등을 지적하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 과학과 교사의 전문성 제고 방안을 제안하였다.

  • This paper describes some major trends in primary and secondary education now. It is a selective views of significant topics with important implication for the future. These trends are summarized as follows, after examining historical development of Teaching-learning Methodology in primary and secondary education. 1. Education is seen as part of interdisciplinary world; emphasis is on relating education to the students' world, which is not compartmentalized. 2. Emphasizing students' individual growth with their own goal of lives. 3. Open-education with variable contents and purposes of education. 4. Education for all from that for some. 5. Consructivist based from behavior based. 6. Cooperative learning, peer tutoring, group projects. 7. Authentic assessment; assessment integrated with instruction. 8. The teacher is a facilitator of learning and a learner as well; students are learners and teachers in some situations; networks emerge instead of one-way forms or communication. 9. Spiral curriculum from single exposure.

The Distribution of Research Framework on Exsheetlink Module Development for Accounting Education

  • Purpose: The Malaysia Education Blueprint is primarily concerned with the transformation of students' minds through the curriculum offered at the school level (2013-2025). Diversity in the application of teaching and learning methods is one means of achieving the transformation of students' minds through the Secondary School Standard Curriculum. Consequently, the production of ExSheetLink's Module for Accounting Education is the primary outcome of this study, which had three objectives: the need for ExSheetLink's Module in the process of producing financial statements for Accounting Students in secondary school to the Accounting Teacher; and the design of ExSheetLink's Module that meets the entire process in the production of financial statements for Accounting Students in secondary school based on the Documents Curriculum and the Accounting Students' needs. Research design, data and methodology: This study outlines the research framework for module development in accordance with the Design and Development Research Method, which combines multiple research techniques (Mixed Method). Results: The development of ExSheetLink's Module is completed and can be used for the level of effectiveness purposes. Conclusion: The transformation of Accounting Students' minds is a success thanks to the ExSheetLink Module. Researchers also suggested that all Malaysian Secondary School accounting students test the ExSheetLink Module.

초중등 과학교사들의 과학연구윤리교육에 대한 인식 (The Perceptions of Science Teachers Regarding Science Research Ethics Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of school teachers in science research ethics and perception of science research ethics education. A survey was administered for this study and a total 167 elementary and secondary teachers studying in K University graduate school participated. The survey was organized to examine participants' 1) science research ethics awareness, 2) status of science research ethics education, and 3) needs for science research ethics education, and 4) the perception of the direction of the science research ethics education in school. Each item was responded using either 1 to 5 Likert type scale, multiple choices questionnaires. The results were as follows: both of elementary and secondary school teachers showed above average interest in science research ethics and secondary school teachers showed significantly higher interest than elementary school teachers(p<0.05). In degree of awareness of science research ethics, plagiarism (M=3.98) was the highest, followed by free-riding(M=3.78), the scientist's social responsibility(M=3.71), and forge(M=3.61). In response science research ethics problem occurs in science education activities more than the average(M=3.39). Teacher's response on the teaching of science research ethics ranges from 3.02 to 4.47, but each science research ethics elements was showed a large deviation. Elementary and secondary school teachers responded that science research ethics education needed(M=4.34). Science research ethics education should be included in the school curriculum. Eighty-five percent of the teachers responded that the science research ethics education should be started from elementary school. 'Discussion-type classes with examples' was preferred as an effective teaching. And teachers needed 'instructional materials' and 'teachers training' for science research ethics education.

한국학교도서관협의회의 전략계획 수립에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Strategic Plan of Korea School Library Association)

  • 한국학교도서관협의회는 우리나라의 사서교사직을 대표하는 전문직 단체이다. 이 연구의 목적은 한국학교도서관협의회가 현안문제를 보다 적극적으로 해결해 나갈 수 있도록 전략계획을 수립하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학교도서관의 현안문제와 조직내부의 환경을 분석한 후 전체 사업범위를 명확하게 규정하였고, 규정된 사업 중에서 전략계획이 필요한 12개 사업을 추출하였다. 추출된 사업에 대해서 회원들의 중요도를 조사하여 최종적으로 한국학교도서관협의회가 중점을 두어야할 4개의 전략사업을 선정하였다. 선정된 사업은 학교도서관진흥법의 개정, 초 중등교육법의 개정, 사서교사 고충사례 조사 및 대응, 우수 교육사례 모집 및 배포이며, 각 사업에 대해 달성목표, 집행부별 세부 목표, 추진절차 등을 포함한 전략계획을 수립하였다.

  • This study aims at diagnozing the existing school library laws and their enforcement regulations together with the library organization, and finding out any problems in them for the lack of legal and administrative suppxt has been considered the main hindrances to the developrnent of school library. The results of the work are as follows: 1. Full use of materials on the part of students is impossible because there is description in the school facilitier enforcement regulations except that of reading room. 2. No administrative consederation on the school library. 3. No incentive to be an able librarians because there is no devision in the lebrary teacher eligibility between the elementary and secondary level.

교사들에 의한 공통과학 교과서 평가와 수업내용 현황 (The High School Common Science Textbook and Classes by the Point of Science Teacher's View)

  • High school common science is introduced by the sixth national curriculum. It consists of physics, chemistry, biology and earth science like the secondary school science. In this paper, textbooks are analyzed by the science teachers and the status of the present teaching and learning methods is reported. The detailed results are as follows; 1. Almost high school teachers choose textbook that included little the STS material. More than two teachers are teaching the high school common science and when they are chosen, they are independent with their major. 2. According to the national curriculum, they evaluated the textbooks as it is below the middle level. This evaluations are not dependent on teachers' comparement and textbook's class except the several matters based on STS (science-technology-society). 3. The teacher teaching the high school common science thought that teaching the textbook in school is worse than analysizing it. they must have emphasised on learning of inquire method than system of knowledge, introduction to material connected with real life and STS in the high school common science.

중등 과학 예비교사들의 수업시연 계획 및 실행에서 나타난 교과교육학지식의 요소 (The Components of Pedagogical Content Knowledge Considered by Secondary Science Pre-service Teachers in Planning and Implementing Teaching Demonstrations)

  • 최근 과학 수업에 대한 전문성의 요건 중 하나로 PCK 함양이 강조되고 있으며, 이는 예비교사교육 과정에서부터 이루어질 필요가 있다. 이 연구에서는 중등 예비교사들의 교과교육학지식 요소에 대한 이해를 구체적으로 살펴보기 위해 이들이 수업시연을 계획하는 과정에서 고려하는 교과교육학지식 요소와 이를 실행하는 과정에서 겪은 어려움에 대해 조사하였다. 서울 소재의 사범 대학교 3학년 예비교사들을 대상으로 수업모형을 이용한 수업시연을 실시하였고, 수업시연이 끝난 후 수업시연에 대한 반성적 평가와 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 과학 수업 계획 시 교수전략과 학습자의 인지적 정의적 측면에 대해서는 대부분의 예비교사들이 고려한 반면 교육과정이나 평가 측면에 대해서는 일부 예비교사들만 고려한 것으로 나타났다. 예를 들어, 교수전략 부분에서 예비교사들은 수업모형을 선정하고 이의 특징을 고려한 수업 내용 조직에 대해 많이 생각한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 예비교사들은 수업의 주된 활동으로 실험을 많이 선정하였는데, 이 과정에서 학습자의 인지 수준이나 흥미를 많이 반영한 것으로 나타났다. 학습자의 오개념에 대해 고려한 예비교사들은 거의 없었다. 수업 계획 및 실행 과정에서 겪은 어려움의 대부분 또한 예비교사들이 수업 계획 시 많이 고려했던 교수전략 측면에서 나타났다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논의하였다.

국내 초·중등 공학 교육 연구 동향 분석 (Research Trends and Issues of Engineering Education in Korean Elementary and Secondary Education)

  • The goal of this study was to analyze the research trends of engineering education in elementary and secondary education. To accomplish this goal, this study analyzed the journal papers by 'published year', 'research topic', 'research subject', 'research method' and 'related school subject'. Followings are the results of this study. First, regarding the published year, the studies related to the elementary and secondary school level engineering education had been conducted 1 to 3 pieces intermittently from 1995 to 2009. And the number of studies are more than 5 pieces after 2010. Second, regarding the research topic, the number of study followed by 'investigation for current status', 'tendency analysis', 'development of teaching method or model', 'verification of teaching method/models' effect'. Third, regarding the research subject, the number of study followed by 'student', 'literature', 'professor', 'teacher'. Fourth, regarding the research method, the number of study followed by 'survey research' and 'literature research', 'qualitative research', 'experimental research' and 'integrated research'. Fifth, regarding the related subject, the number of study followed by 'science', 'technology', 'mathematics', 'practical arts'. Based on the results of this study, there are the needs for further studies to establish theoretical foundation on the engineering content elements in elementary and secondary school level, analyze on related variables and effects, develop engineering assessment instrument, use a variety of research methods, and conduct study on the applications of engineering in math subject.
