Korean civil and environmental organizations had selected and announced ‘The top ten pieces of news in the environmental field of the year’ on Dec. 2, 1999. This study investigated the possibilities that these could be used as subject matters of environmental curriculum and infused into the environmental textbook of secondary schools, referring to documents and internet materials. The top ten pieces of environmental news could be clarified as controversial topics. The locality was analyzed that 2 pieces occurred mainly in a specific area, 4 pieces in several areas and 4 pieces around all over the country. Most of them had the opposing partners as the federal and local governmental vs. civil organizations and people. Each of them could be used as subject matters for 7 to 13 contents domains of the 6th and 7th Korean environmental curriculum. The knowledge of most of them had related counterpart concepts to be infused into the ‘Environmental Science’textbook for the high school students. The results suggested that more concerns and efforts are needed to deal and use these controversial issues as real world problems of Korea in the environmental education practices

Pest insect control is dependent on about 200 insecticides that work by relatively few mechanisms. The targets they disrupt are mostly involved in the nervous system, respiratory chain, growth and development, or the gut. The major nerve targets are: acetylcholinesterase for the organophosphates and methylcarbamates; the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor for the neonicotinoids; the $\gamma$-aminobutyric acid receptor for several chlorinated hydrocarbons and fipronil; the voltage-gated sodium channel for DDT and pyrethroids. Selection of resistant strains often confers cross-resistance to some or all other insecticides working at the same site. The toxicological properties of different compounds acting on the same target are increasingly considered together, summating the risk even though the compounds are of quite diverse chemical types. Continuing attention is also being given to secondary targets not involved in the primary mechanism of toxicity but instead in side effects that must be considered in the overall safety evaluation. Research on insecticide targets is important in learning to keep up with resistance and changing concepts and policies on safety. These relationships are illustrated by recent studies in the Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology Laboratory of the University of California at Berkeley.

본 연구는 순열과 조합 영역에 관한 동료의 문제 만들기 과제를 평가하는 과정에서 나타난 예비교사의 주목하기를 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해, 중등 예비교사 46명을 대상으로 순열과 조합에 관한 실생활 문제 만들기 과제를 수행하도록 하였고, 동료의 수학 과제를 임의로 배정하여 평가하도록 하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과, 예비교사들은 동료가 만든 수학 문제의 난도에 가장 주목하는 모습이 확인되었고, 특히 난도를 높이기 위해 조건 사용에 주목하는 경향이 있었다. 뿐만 아니라, 예비교사들은 질문과 풀이의 명확성, 문제의 독창성, 맥락의 수학 개념 간의 자연스러운 연결, 수학 개념 간의 융합에 주목하는 모습이 확인되었다.

The concept of interfaith harmony is one of the key issues for discussion in this contemporary world. It has multifaceted implications that range from pedagogical realms to global policy making. Here we focus on the basic concepts of interfaith harmony from Sikh and Cao Dai perspectives in order to address their viewpoints in regard to promoting culture of Peace and Understanding. Although these religions are new as compared to the existing living religions of the world, they found their new identity in the history of world religions for their unique concepts of interfaith harmony. In this article, the concept of interfaith harmony has been analyzed from two perspectives such as theological and socio-historical. For a systematic understanding of the subject matter, it has been categorized into three subpoints; unity of God, unity of religions and unity of humanity. Methodologically, the qualitative methodological framework of the proposed research is descriptive in nature. Thus, the present research has been primarily conducted by using secondary sources, although the crucial information is collected from primary sources such as the sacred texts of Sikhism and Caodaism. Since this study is done considering the social, political and religious contexts of India and Vietnam, it can contribute to the understanding of the nature of interfaith harmony in South and South-East Asia.

본 연구는 최근 7년간 문헌정보학분야에 게재된 논문 1,752건을 대상으로 빈도 분석과 네트워크텍스트 분석을 실시하여 다양한 주제 개념의 분포와 그 관계성을 도출하였다. 더불어 보다 최근의 연구 경향을 분석하고 변화 양상을 살펴보기 위해, 최근 2년 사이에 연구된 482건을 추출하여 2차 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 최근 7년간 문헌정보학 분야는 "공공도서관"과 "대학도서관" 개념을 중심으로 하는 연구가 가장 높은 출현 빈도를 보였으며, "평가", "교육", "웹"은 가장 높은 연결 중심성을 나타내 다양한 문헌정보학의 주제 개념들과 관련을 맺고 연구되고 있는 개념으로 파악할 수 있었다. 최근 2년간을 대상으로 한 2차 분석 결과에서는 "웹", "분류" 개념이 종전보다 높은 상대 빈도를 보였으며, 네트워크 텍스트 분석 결과에서는 "이용자" 연구와 "공공도서관" 개념이 종전보다 더 다양한 주제 개념들과 관련을 맺고 수행되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

이 연구의 목적은 중등과학 예비교사들의 조석 개념에 대한 오개념을 조사하고, 오개념을 과학개념으로 변화시킬 수 있는 학습모듈을 개발하여 개념변화에 미치는 학습모듈의 효과를 검사하는 것이다. 이에 연구자는 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 조석 개념 검사지와 인지갈등 전략을 적용한 조석 개념 학습모듈을 개발하여 적용하였다. 연구대상은 G 광역시에 소재한 사범대학 과학교육 전공 1학년 학생 40명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등과학 예비교사들은 조석 현상에 대하여 다양한 오개념을 갖고 있었다. 둘째, 개발한 학습모듈은 중등과학 예비교사들의 조석에 대한 오개념을 과학개념으로 변화시키는데 효과적이었다. 그러나 일부 학생들은 모듈의 학습 후에도 조석에 대한 오개념을 갖고 있었다. 그중 대표적인 오개념은 지구와 달이 공통질량 중심을 회전 중심으로 공전할 때 발생하는 원심력을 지구 자전에 의한 원심력과 구별하지 못하는 것과 지구가 공통질량 중심을 회전 중심으로 공전하는 동안 지구의 자전을 고려하지 않아야 한다는 사실을 알지 못하는 것이었다.

본 연구는 융합 인재 교육 경험을 오랫동안 해 온 교사들의 공학적 설계에 대한 인식을 탐색한 것이다. 본 연구에 참여한 교사들은 융합 인재 교육 경험을 5년 이상 해 온 초·중등 교사 12명으로 진행하였으며, 반구조화된 인터뷰를 통해서 진행되었으며, 면담은 1~2회에 걸쳐 60~90분 정도로 진행되었다. 면담 질문은 융합 인재 교육 경험과 공학적 설계에 대한 인식, 공학적 설계의 교육과정 반영 여부, 공학적 설계를 도입한 융합 인재 교육의 실제사례 등을 중심으로 진행하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 과학, 기술, 공학에 대한 개념의 동일시 그리고 혼재, 공학적 설계는 창의적 설계를 위해 필요한 요소들의 적절한 조합, 공학적 설계는 창의적 설계에 유용성과 경제성을 추구했을 때 가능, 공학적 설계는 이공계 진로를 선택한 학생들만을 위한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 본 연구를 토대로 과학, 기술, 공학에 대한 올바른 개념을 정립하여 제시하고 과학적 문제 해결을 위한 공학적 설계에 대한 내용을 교육과정에 포함시키는 노력이 필요하다. 또한, 공학적 설계가 포함된 융합 인재 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 확산하여 현장에 적용해야 할 것이다. 이를 통해 교사와 예비 교사들의 과학, 공학 융합 프로그램과 공학적 설계에 대한 인식을 개선시킬 수 있는 구체적인 실행 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to figure out how teachers conduct an experiment in measuring the size of the Earth and how students recognize it. For this study, an in-depth interview was conducted one week after the lesson on the experiment about measuring the size of the Earth. The participants were five secondary school teachers and five secondary school students. The in-depth interview was recorded and transcribed. The result of the interview was drawn through an inductive categorized analysis method. As a conclusion of this study, the teachers taught the students the lesson using alternate angles instead of using the altitude of the Sun. Their lessons were based on Eratosthene's story or some related illustrations suggested in the textbook and not based on an explanation of the principle. Also, students measured the Earth's size only by using alternate angles and didn't understand the meaning of the shadow in the experiment. The results of this study show that teachers need to reconstruct the textbook and understand the accurate experimental principle for the students to have a meaningful experience of the experiment on measuring the size of the Earth.

본 연구에서는 교사의 지식에 대한 초임교사들의 인식을 알아보기 위해 초임교사들에게 설문을 실시하고, 그 결과를 분석하였다. 초임교사들은 자신의 수업의 반성과 개선에 대한 지식을 가장 필요하다고 인식하고, 실제 수업에서는 수학적 개념과 학습 내용들 사이의 연계성과 위계성 등 상호 관계에 대한 지식을 가장 많이 활용한다고 인식한다. 이러한 교사의 지식은 주로 수업 경험과 교사 연수를 통해 형성된다고 인식한다. 또한, 초임교사들은 수학 수업에서 공학적 도구와 평가를 활용하는 지식에 대해 필요성을 낮게 인식하고 자주 활용하지 못하는 것으로 인식한다. 초임교사들이 교사의 지식을 형성하는데 도움을 주기 위해 교사 입문 프로그램과 멘토링의 활성화, 교원 양성기관의 교육과정의 개선, 다양한 교사 연수 프로그램의 개발과 보급 등이 필요하다.

제7차 교육과정에서 제시된 중 고등학교 일반 교과에서의 컴퓨터 교육은 용용 소프트웨어를 이용한 컴퓨터의 도구적 활용을 상대적으로 강조하게 되어 있다. 이러한 도구적 활용 위주의 교육과정은 ICT 소양 교육이라는 측면애서는 매우 잘 실시되어 오고 있으나 정보기술 및 컴퓨터 과학을 구성하는 기본 개념 및 원리와 이를 토대로 지적인 능력을 신장시킬 수 있는 교육을 시키기에는 매우 부족한 실정에 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 중등학교에서 컴퓨터과학 교육과정을 도입해야 하는 이유를 IT 숙련 측면에서 살펴보고 미국과 캐나다의 중등학교 컴퓨터 교과와 대비하여 컴퓨터과학의 원리 교육을 강조하는 중등학교에 적용될 컴퓨터 교육과정의 방향을 제시한다.
