수중용 TAS윈치 전개/회수 성능 안정화 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stabilization of Underwater TAS Winch System Deploy/Recover Operation Performance)

  • 본 논문은 수중용 TAS윈치 전개/회수 성능 안정화 방안에 대한 내용을 서술하고 있다. TAS윈치는 함미에 장착되어 자함과 이격되어 운용되는 센서, 예인케이블 및 꼬리로프의 전개/회수 기능을 수행하고, TAS에 대한 전원공급 경로, 수중환경 정보 및 수신된 음향신호 송/수신을 위한 데이터 전송 경로 제공 역할을 수행한다. TAS윈치 시험평가 과정에서 간헐적으로 TAS 전개 중 멈춤현상 및 회전속도 변동현상이 식별되었다. TAS 전개/회수에 필요한 토크를 제공하는 구성요소인 윈치모터에 대한 고장분석 결과, 구성품 중 회전자의 정렬 틀어짐으로 인한 편심현상에 따른 자기장 왜곡이 발생한 것을 확인하였다. 자기장 왜곡 발생 방지를 위해 윈치모터 회전자 및 슬립링 등 윈치모터 구성품의 고정성 향상 방안을 제안하였다. 제안된 방안에 대한 신뢰성 확보를 위해 LBTS 환경에서 TAS윈치 운용환경을 모사하여 TAS윈치 전개/회수 성능을 검증하였다. 최종적으로 TAS윈치 전개/회수 성능 뿐만 아니라 해상에서 TAS윈치를 운용할 경우 요구되는 함 속력 및 타각별 TAS 지속 운용능력과 같은 여러 가지 항목에 대한 해상 시험평가를 수행함으로써 설계 요구조건 만족 및 제안 방안에 대한 타당성을 검증하였다.

해상 소형 낙하물 입수흔적의 크기 예측 및 검증 (Prediction and Verification of Water-entry Traces Size of Small Falling Objects into the Sea)

  • An unmanned aerial photography method by using an unmanned helicopter is useful method for measuring of the water-entry traces of small falling objects into the sea. Pixel sizes on the aerial photograph may be too large due to a limit of camcorder resolution and a wide shooting area. If the pixel size is too large, identification of water-entry trace is impossible. Thus an accurate prediction of water-entry trace size is required. The traces of water-entry could be classified into three types such as splash, water column, and bubble. Diameters of each trace are predicted by water-entry impact pressure theories, cavity theories, and trial test results. The results are verified by drop tests using an unmanned helicopter at two water-entry speeds. As a result, prediction and test results showed sufficient similarity to evaluate the identifiability of water-entry trace.

Disk-averaged Spectra Simulation of Earth-like Exoplanets with Ray-tracing Method

  • The understanding spectral characterization of possible earth-like extra solar planets has generated wide interested in astronomy and space science. The technical central issue in observation of exoplanet is deconvolution of the temporally and disk-averaged spectra of the exoplanets. The earth model based on atmospheric radiative transfer method has been studied in recent years for solutions of characterization of earthlike exoplanet. In this study, we report on the current progress of the new method of 3D earth model as a habitable exoplanet. The computational model has 3 components 1) the sun model, 2) an integrated earth BRDF (Bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function) model (Atmosphere, Land and Ocean) and 3) instrument model combined in ray tracing computation. The ray characteristics such as radiative power and direction are altered as they experience reflection, refraction, transmission, absorption and scattering from encountering with each all of optical surfaces. The Land BRDF characteristics are defined by the semi-empirical "parametric-kernel-method" from POLDER missions from CNES. The ocean BRDF is defined for sea-ice cap structure and for the sea water optical model, considering sun-glint scattering. The input cloud-free atmosphere model consists of 1 layers with vertical profiles of absorption and aerosol scattering combined Rayleigh scattering and its input characteristics using the NEWS product in NASA data and spectral SMARTS from NREL and 6SV from Vermote E. The trial simulation runs result in phase dependent disk-averaged spectra and light-curves of a virtual exoplanet using 3D earth model.

해상환경을 고려한 선박항로의 최적화 시나리오 비교분석 (A Comparison and Analysis of Ship Optimal Routing Scenarios considering Ocean Environment)

  • Weather routing of a ship provides an optimal route to the destination by using minimal time or fuel in a given sea condition. These days, weather routing came into a spotlight with soaring fuel price and the environmental regulations of IMO and several countries. This study presents three scenarios of voyaging strategies for a ship and compared them in terms of the fuel consumption. The first strategy fixes the speed of a ship as a constant value for entire sailing course, the second fixes the RPM of the ship as constant for entire course, and the third determines the RPMs of the ship for each segment of the course. For each strategy, a ship route is optimized by using the $A^*$ search method. Wind, ocean current and wave are considered as ocean environment factors when seeking the optimal routes. Based on 7000 TEU container ship's sea trial records, simulation has been conducted for three scenarios, and the most efficient routing scenario is determined in the view of fuel consumption.

쇄빙상선의 빙하중 추정식 고찰 (Ice Load Prediction Formulas for Icebreaking Cargo Vessels)

  • One of the concerns that arise during navigation in ice-covered waters is the magnitude of ice loads encountered by ships. However, the accurate estimation of ice loads still remains as a rather difficult task in the design of icebreaking vessels. This paper focuses on the development of simple ice load prediction formulas for the icebreaking cargo vessels. The maximum ice loads are expected from unbroken ice sheet and these loads are most likely to be concentrated at the bow area. Published ice load data for icebreaking vessels, from the model tests and also from full-scale sea trials, are collected and then several ice load prediction formulas are compared with these data. Finally, based on collected data, a semi-empirical ice load prediction formula is recommended for the icebreaking cargo vessels.

레이더 전자보호 성능시험을 위한 송.수신 간섭신호 제거 기법 (A Method Eliminating the Interference Signal for the Test of the Radar Electronic Protection Performance)

  • Jamming simulator has developed for the purpose of the test and evaluation on the electronic protection capabilities of the tracking radar onboard ship. This simulator has the capabilities to generate and radiate the jamming signals against the radar as well as those to receive, analyze and identify the radar signals at a real sea environment. The limited space of ship superstructure has led to the serious distortion caused by the ring around phenomenon that some sidelobes of the jamming beams were coming back to the receiving antenna. In this paper, we have proposed the methods to eliminate the ring around. First, we have inserted the groove metal screen between transmitting and receiving antennas. Second, we have used the PRI(Pulse Repetition Interval) tracking loop to control the switching timing of the input radar and the output jamming signal. Finally, we have demonstrated the performance and effectiveness of the proposed methods through the sea trial.

북극해에서 계측된 국부 빙하중에 대한 선속 및 빙두께 영향 (Effects of Ship Speed and Ice Thickness on Local Ice Loads Measured in Arctic Sea)

  • The icebreaking research vessel ARAON conducted her second ice trial in the Arctic Ocean during the summer season of 2010. During this voyage, the local ice loads acting on the bow of the port side were measured using 14 strain gauges. The measurement was carried out during icebreaking while measuring the thickness of the ice every 10 m. The obtained strain data were converted to the equivalent stress values, and the effects of the ship speed and ice thickness on the ice load were investigated. As a result, it was found that a faster speed produced a larger stress, according to the variation in the peak values below an ice thickness condition of 1.5 m. Meanwhile, the effect of the ice thickness on the ice load was not clear.

A comprehensive study on ship motion and load responses in short-crested irregular waves

  • Wave-induced ship motion and load responses are usually investigated on the assumption that the incident waves are long-crested. The realistic sea waves are however short-crested irregular waves. Real practice reveals that the ship motion and load responses induced by short-crested waves are different from those induced by long-crested waves. This paper aims to conduct a comprehensive study on ship motions and loads in different wave fields. For this purpose, comparative studies by small-scale model towing tank test and large-scale model sea trial are conducted to experimentally identify the difference between ship motions and loads in long-crested and short-crested irregular waves. Moreover, the influences of directional spreading function of short-crested waves on ship motions and loads are analyzed by numerical seakeeping calculation. The results and conclusions obtained from this study are of great significance for the further extrapolation and estimation of ship motions and loads in short-crested waves based on long-crested wave response results.

비타민 C와 비타민나무 부산물 첨가가 산란 성계의 생산성 및 계육 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Supplementation of Vitamin C and Sea Buckthorn on the Performance and Meat Quality in Old Laying Hens)

  • 본 연구는 100주령 이상의 산란성계 사료 내 비타민 C 및 비타민나무 부산물의 첨가 급여가 생산성, 도체수율, 혈액성상 및 계육품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 실시되었다. 공시 동물은 100주령 Hy-Line Brown 200수를 선별하여 A형 2단 케이지에 대조구 포함 총 5처리구로 구성하여 처리당 4반복, 반복당 10수씩(2수 수용 케이지 10개) 난괴법으로 임의 배치하였다. 비타민나무 부산물은 강원도 양구 소재 비타민나무 재배지에서 생산, 건조된 비타민나무 잎과 가지를 이용하였으며, 시험에 이용된 사료는 한국가금사양표준(2012) 요구량에 준하여 배합하였다. 처리구로는 비타민 C와 비타민나무 부산물을 첨가하지 않은 대조구(Basal)와 Vit. C 0.1% 첨가구, 비타민나무 부산물 0.1% 첨가구, 비타민나무 부산물 0.5% 첨가구 그리고 비타민나무 부산물 1.0% 첨가구로 나누어 4주간 실시하였으며, 물과 사료는 자유 섭취하게 하였고, 일반적인 점등관리(자연일조 + 조명; 16 hr)를 실시하였다. 산란율 및 도체율은 전 시험기간 유의적인 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 부분육 비율은 가슴육을 제외한 다른 부위에서 대조구와 비교 시 차이가 없었으나, 가슴육 비율은 비타민나무 부산물 0.5% 첨가구에서 유의적으로 증가하였다(P<0.05). 하지만 산란성계육의 일반성분, 보수력, 가열감량 및 지방산 함량에 있어서는 비타민 C 및 비타민나무 첨가에 따른 유의적인 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 결과적으로 산란 성계 사료 내 비타민나무 부산물의 첨가는 생산성 및 계육품질에는 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 부분육 중 가슴육 생산량을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 산란성계육 수출 시 부위별 무게로 가격이 결정됨을 감안할 때 경제적인 면에서 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 하지만 산란성계육 수출량이 증가함에도 불구하고, 품질 개선을 위한 연구가 미흡한 점을 감안할 때 향후 더 많은 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

트롤그물의 기본 성능에 관한 고찰 (Study on the basic efficiency of trawl net)

  • A model experiment, simulation test using personal computer and real sea trial fishing were carried out to investigate the basic efficiency of bottom trawl net which can be used in the sea mount of North West Pacific, and experimental values were analyzed as the values of full-scale bottom trawl net. Hydrodynamic resistance for the full-scale trawl net according to the Koyama equation was 2.1 times higher than that of simulation and 2.4 times higher than that of model experiment at the average towing velocity. At the 3.5kt's of towing speed, net width of the full-scale trawl net was 2.5% smaller than that of simulation and 8.2% larger than that of model experiment. On the fishing experiment of the full-scale trawl net for the 3.5kt's of average towing speed, average net height of A group(same direction with external force) was 423.5% higher than that of model experiment and 457.1% higher than that of simulation and that of B group(opposite direction with external force) were 283.8% and 306.3% higher than in case of model experiment and Simulation respectively. Net mouth of the full-scale trawl net was 338.1-504.6% higher than those of model experiment and simulation in A group, and 525.2-745.3% higher in B group.
