This study was performed to compare the abrasiveness and wear resistance of several restorative materials occluding enamel and gold alloy. Intact labial surface of bovine incisor and the plain portion of type III gold alloy were used as plate specimens, and pin specimens were fabricated using $Artglass^{(R)},\;Targis^{(R)},\;Sculpture^{(R)}$. After two-body wear test using pin and plate model, amount of vertical height loss of plate and pin specimens were measured and statically analyzed. The amount of vertical height loss of plate specimens against pin specimens were measured by a roughness measurement instrument. The amount of vertical height loss of pin specimens against plate specimens were measured by an image analyzing program after taking scanning electron micrographs of pin specimens. The results were as following. 1. As fir the amount of enamel wear. gold group showed least amount of wear. There was no significant difference among Sculpture, Targis and Artglass groups(p<0.05). 2. As for the amount of gold wear Sculpture group standed first and Targis and Artglass group followed respectively, and there was significant difference between Sculpture and Artglass groups(p<0.05). 3. As for the amount of restorative materials against enamel, Artglass group showed greatest, and there was no significant difference among gold. Sculpture, Targis groups(p<0.05). 4. As for the amount of restorative materials against gold, Artglass group standed first and Targis and Sculpture group followed respectively, and there was significant difference among each groups(p<0.05).

This study suggests a fashion design using aesthetic characteristics of works by Kate MccGwire, a modern sculptor paying attention to soft sculpture materials such as feathers. In this research on MccGwire works, their internal meanings may be derived as the dualism of familiarity, movement and consciousness. Works also have aesthetic characteristics of overlapping, fluidity and twist. Using such characteristics, 4 one piece dresses and 2 vest dresses were made. Research findings are as follows. First, aesthetic characteristics of MccGwire works could be expanded into expressive areas of silhouettes and details in fashion. Second, visual flow and concentration could be expressed by gradual coloration of feather colors. Third, dart manipulation could be applied naturally by details and curve silhouettes of fashion design. Fourth, touch of feather material could be expressed fully by leaving the edge of garments raw. Fifth, spatiality of fashion could be implemented partially by applying decorative saddle stitching to costume design details. This study explored a potential of soft sculpture occurred during a transitional process of objet pursued by 20th century's avant-garde artists applicable to fashion design ideas that suggested methods for contemporary creative design.
Statement of problems. There are only a few studies available that deal with the clinical behavior of ceromer systems as potential substitutes for metal-ceramic crowns. Purpose. This prospective study was initiated to evaluate the clinical performance of 35 Sculpture crowns after 2 years in service. Material and methods. Thirty five Sculpture crowns were placed for 20 patients (7 men and 13 women). All patients were treated by the same dentist, and all restorations were fabricated by the same dental laboratory. Crown placement involved both the anterior and posterior regions of the dental arches. Patients were evaluated by two examiner at baseline, 12, and 24 months using the CDA quality assessment system in addition to periodontal criteria. Results. Of 34 crowns remaining in the study after 2 years, only one crown had experienced a marginal fracture. The crown was replaced as a result of recurrent caries. All remaining crowns were ranked as either excellent or acceptable for surface and color, anatomic form, and marginal integrity. Conclusion. The 2-year clinical observations and ranking with the CDA quality assessment criteria supported the conclusion that Sculpture crowns may be used in substitutes for metal-ceramic crowns.

The purpose of this study is to examine the clothing component information and attributes as the control parameters for the 3D modeling process of the biomorphic clothing sculpture using a parametric methodology. The 3D modeling parameters of biomorphic clothing sculpture were identified as exaggerated silhouette, surface texture, and digital color. The types of exaggerated silhouettes were shoulder and hip exaggeration, shoulder exaggeration, hip exaggeration, vertical exaggeration, and horizontal exaggeration. The types of surface texture were embossed, lacy, furry, and complex textures. The types of digital color were chrome, blur, blend, and acid colors. The characteristics of morphological representation due to the attributes of these control variables were identified as morphological variation, organic morphology, organizational morphology, and realistic morphology. As a result, it was found that the parameter attributes were applied to the biomorphic clothing sculpture parametric design process and developed into various shapes.
A bridge is not a sculpture but a object that Is satisfy with different function. The function of footbridge Is not only a connection between both areas, but also a roll as environmental sculpture. The present and future of footbridge design are presented on examples of recently built and designed bridges in the country. To realize a evironmental structure it need to cooperate with both engineers and architects.
The main feature of Buddhist sculpture Is said to lay in how it can materialize the divineness. Therefore lots of people used to pay attention to whether its religious features draw people's reverence or not. However, the robe of Buddhist sculptures has not won its proper attention. The Buddhist robe Is usually considered as a mere measure to make Buddha's supernatural feature more vivid. However, contrary to our expectation, the robe is the very real one which can be found in people's lift. The Gandhara Buddhist sculpture robe does not have sleeves, but several sheet of clothes covered the sculpture. Moreover, we can find same features in monk's robe which appeared in the Gandhara art. I can therefore conclude that this robe is not confined to Buddha, but is very popular one in that time in Gandhara. This article would survey the main feature and its relevant things about Gandhara Buddhist sculpture's robe, especially its change process while it had been transmitted to China.
This paper will reveal the legacy of women in the Bagan Period (10th to 11th century A.D.) traced through the early evidences of female figures that could only found in the stones of KyaukkuUmin and in the terracotta of Shwesandaw and Phetleik temples. There have been some writings on the women of the Bagan Period from different perspectives. The role of women from the Bagan Period mentioned in different records and as empowerment of Myanmar Women in the past will be analyzed. Through these female images and other unearthed artifacts found in Bagan, portrayals of womanhood in Myanmar early sculpture will be studied. The role of women in the Bagan will be observed by looking closely at what remains of the sculptures, as well as the craftsmanship applied to the works, which are usually in terracotta, wood, or stone.
Given the our life environment being the original space which surrounding human today's our environment turned in the artificial and dried space because it's focus on planned and made by city's function and efficiency. So Isamu Noguchi is try to express the formative space which can live nature and human, and human and space together just for a bit. And he succeeded to create the new molding formation named the environment and sculpture to deeply get the problem on nature of place and understanding of place for aesthetic satisfaction. So he makes great contribution towards the monument and field of environmental sculpture. So this thesis is for making clear the importance of space for the sculpture and effect on Isamu Noguchi's environmental sculpture by analyzing the various artworks by Isamu Noguchi and studying his space concept and space sensation of his through generating the experiment of space and eclecticism. Noguchi pursed the harmony with the artwork by expending the architectural space to the full, and he focus his energies to left the artwork which with the public in their lives.

As interest in the public display of art and outdoor sculptures is increasing, the conservation and treatment of these sculptures is becoming increasingly crucial. Long-term exposure to the natural elements and atmospheric pollution can cause corrosion and deterioration in outdoor sculptures. In the case of Kim Chan Shik's "Feeling", which was exhibited in the outdoor sculpture park at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA), the patina of the sculpture was damaged during a long outdoor exhibition. Therefore, the treatment process was as follows: recording of condition, sanding, repatination, and wax coating. Consequently, the sculpture was restored similar to the original. Chemical analysis revealed that the sculpture was crafted from bronze and was cast from a quaternary alloy of Cu-Pb-Sn-Zn. The welding is lower in Zn, Sn, and Pb content than the metal used in the sculpture itself. Bright strains contain about 13.0 wt% Sn and 10.5 wt% Pb. The strains are higher in Sn and Pb content than the rest of the metal in the sculpture (7.0 wt% Sn and 4.4 wt% Pb). As a result of component analysis and microstructure observation, the material is estimated to have been made by casting without artificial treatment.
Narrative has broad domains. So it is related to the everything man faces in his daily life and also performed in various modes. Narrative is revealed through all media including a character, which is also applied to plastic art. And narrative objects formed beyond the differences in media aid forms of expression are commonly based on a language. The study on such objects which created a new conceit of narratology can be said to be a spiritual trend by which to understand the world and man from the viewpoint of a 'story'. Plastic art took high interest in narrative in the same period as the rise of postmodernist art in the latter half of the 20th century, which was also applied to sculpture. The researcher, therefore, investigated through the history of sculpture in the 20th century the process in which narrative was denied under the value system of modernism and reappeared with the quickening of postmodernism. And as a result this period could be briefly characterized by 'return to figure' and 'reappearance of narrative'. The is, such flow means that late sculpture converted its center of interest from simple geometric abstract forms to irregular, figurative images. The researcher chose as the subject of his study the work of Louise Bourgeois, who was judged to have performed narrative positively and successfully among a great number of performed narrative positively and successfully among a great number of postmodernist sculptors who adopted it as their own strategy of expression. As the central artist of postmodrnist sculpture, She expressed human desire and condition as sexuality through the introspection of her own personal experience in contrast to the character of pop art sensitive to external world. The researcher borrowed narrative semiotics as a method of analyzing more elaborately the problem about the generation of narrative shown in her works. For it, he selected as the sample work for analysis Bourgeois's , which were judged to contain narrative most abundantly and as the metaphor of a gaze and recollection presented a new woman self that sublimed love, hatred, and loneliness. The narrative in her works are characterized by introspection questioning one's own trauma. It has independent domain and characteristics and clearly reveals narrative and content-centered characteristics, which are commonly discovered in postmodernist sculpture. The researcher could more concretely and definitely understand the characteristics of narrative through figurative images by analyzing the sample work. The researcher wanted to call your attention to the fact that the sculpture in the late 20th century contained narrative commonly and uniformly despite being characterized by various expressions and modes. And the focused on highlighting the fact that the narrative was more effectively revealed through figurative images of human body and simultaneously analyzing the formalizing process and structure for narrative. Besides he wanted to argue that the position of narrative defining the characteristics of sculpture should be valued more justly. Also, such acceptance of narrative, which is discovered in the sculpture, will have to be understood as the characteristics of the period reflecting the cultural aspect of the present time.
