  • This study introduces a newly discovered brittle star, Amphiophiura megapoma, from the mesophotic zone in the East Sea, Korea. It is the second species belonging to the genus Amphiophiura (which includes 57 species) to be recorded in Korean waters after A. sculpta. The specimen was discovered during a September 2022 survey, by SCUBA diving in the upper mesophotic zone of the East Sea, Korea. This study presents the morphological characteristics of A. megapoma, highlighting its differences from the related species within a comprehensive taxonomic description. It provides high-resolution images of A. megapoma and a taxonomic key for Amphiophiura species in Korea.

  • A taxonomic study on marine sponges was conducted with materials collected from Gageodo Island, Korea, from August 1999 to July 2001 by SCUBA diving. Among them, Phorbas gukhulensis n. sp. is new to science. Phorbas gukhulensis n. sp. is similar to P. fitictius Pulitzer-Finali from which it differs in spicule size and growth form.

  • Some hydroid specimens were collected from Jejudo Island (Seogwipo, Biyangdo, Marado, Mundo) by SCUBA diving. They were identified into Pennaria disticha Goldfuss, 1820 of the order Athecatae, and Hydrodendron leloupi Hirohito, 1983; Nemertesia ciliata Bale, 1914; Haliaria vegae $J\"{a}derholm$, 1903 of the order Thecatae. They were new to the Korean fauna.

  • A new species of bryozoan, Bicellariella fragilis n. sp. is reported from Jejudo Island, Korea. It was collected at Munseom I. and Supseom I. off Seogwipo city by the fishing net and SCUBA diving from 1978 to 2009. The new species has characteristics of four to five dorso-distal spines and two proximal spines, whereas ten to twelve spines of B. sinica are not separated into two groups of the distal and proximal ones. And this species shows the difference from B. levinseni in having no avicularium.

  • Jeju Island, because of its location off the south coast of the Korean peninsula, has a varied marine mollusk fauna, As part of a continuing effort to enumerate and study the mollusks of the island, extensive SCUBA diving surveys have been done in the Sogwipo area, particularly around the islets of Munsom, Pomsum, and Supsum.
