The genus Mesyatsia Ricker & Ross, 1975 is a small genus of the family Taeniopterygidae with only six species worldwide. This genus is mainly distributed in Asia, but has never been reported in Korea. In this paper, we report Mesyatsia makartchenkoi Teslenko & Zhiltzova, 1992 for the first time from the Korean Peninsula. The specimens were collected from Odaesan National Park, Bangtaesan Natural Recreation Forest, and Gariwangsan Natural Recreation Forest in Gangwon-do, South Korea by mainly Malaise traps and a few by sweep net. Some pharate larvae and adults crawling on the snow were also collected by handpicking. This species is characterized by the following features: pterostigma with dark spots; abdominal sternum 9 with vesicle; abdominal tergum 10 medially divided into two; subgenital plate strongly elongated, scoop-shaped, upcurved with tongue-shaped apex; cercus blunt. We provide materials, diagnosis for newly recorded species, and distributions. Additionally, we include a provisional key to the genera of Taeniopterygidae from Korea based on males.
The purpose of this study was to survey a perception of frequency & importance level of job performance, from 249 paramedics who were working at fire station. The job related activities of 4 duties, 18 tasks and 145 task elements were checked by 4 rating scale. The data were analyzed using a SPSS program for descriptive statistics. The results of the study were as follows ; 1. Some of the most frequent tasks were medical tx, managing people & organization, trauma care, pt assessment, general coping skill 2. Some of the most frequent task elements were preparation of written reports, operation of pt lifting supplies, transportation of patients on stretchers, administration of cervical collar and utilization of scoop stretcher. 3. Some of the highest level of importance in task were resuscitation of circulation, surgical tx, safety & infection control, environmental emergency care, trauma care. 4. Some of the highest level of importance in task elements were administration of cervical collar, adult CPR, infant CPR, child CPR, and AED. 5. The highest level of task elements in perception of frequency & importance were administration of cervical collar, infection control after pt care, utilization of long back board, disinfection of ambulance after ride a long, care of chest pain pt, care of unconscious pt, tx of asthma. 6. A difference between frequent & importance score were due to lack of supplies(41%), structural problems(30%) and medical control system(16%), lack of skills(10%), Suggestion; 1. This paper would be more reliable and confirm through wilder range of survey. 2. It would be necessary of more depth survey through dacom study from paramedic. 3. Development of field oriented protocol & curriculum that based on task elements which have high score of both frequency & importance level is required.
The purpose of Sassanian dynasty was to succeed the civilization of Achaemenid dynasty but it shows vestiges of Parthian civilization in many ways. This study is an attempt to take a look at Sassanian civilization through analyzing these rock reliefs since these features are shown on the rock relief of Ardashir I in early Sassanian Iran. The way carried out this study was first, to collect and search documentary data to establish the theoretical background, and collect positive data by exploring this region and then we comparatively analyzed the two data in general and the result is the following: The form of costume is different according to the person's status. In the early period of Ardashir I the costume style of the royals is reflected by clothes such as tunic, trousers in parthian style. However, trousers do not have vertical pleats which are commonly shown in the case of parthian trousers. It assumed that after the early period of Ardashir I, Sassanians formed their own styles. The form of cap is also different according to the person's status. Ardashir I and the Ahura mazda god put on crown and Korymbos which symbolized the sovereign power. Except the king and the god, the prince and the king's vassal put on high caps called Kolah. Diadem which symbolized sovereign power of king was used by the king, the god and the crown prince. There are two kinds of diadem. The first form has vertical pleats and the other does not have pleats. This form became different depending on the social position. The form of hairstyle is generally thick curly hair which goes down until the shoulder. There is no difference in their hairstyle in terms of the social position. The beard style is generally in the form of scoop. There is also no difference in terms of the person's status.

This is the first report of Trachinotus blochii (Perciformes: Carangidae) from Korea. Single specimen (89.8 mm SL) was collected by seine fishing from the coastal waters of Busan on 13 September, 2023 and two specimens (29.53~30.78 mm SL) were collected by scoop net from Jejudo Island, Korea. This species is distinguishable from the most similar species, Trachinotus blochii as follows: it has the no black spots (vs. black spots in T. baillonii), 21~25 dorsal fin rays (vs. 18~20), and 20~24 anal fin rays (vs. 16~18). In order to confirm their taxonomic status, their mitochondrial DNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I sequences were obtained and compared with those of carangid species recorded in the NCBI database. As a result, it was perfectly matched to T. blochii, and differed from T. baillonii (genetic distance=5.46%). We propose a Korean name, "Mu-jeom-mae-ga-ri", for the species.
Jade ornaments, which include slit earrings, scoop-shaped objects and tubular beads have been extensively identified in Northeast Asia, such as Korea, China, Japan and the Maritime Province of Siberia. Among them slit earrings are distributed in the whole area of Northeast Asia. Although this object shows the typological differences in accordance with the excavated region in detail, all of them are characterised by the slit on the centre of jade ring. The buried context and the shape of this object suggest that this artefact was the earring; thus it is named to 'slit earring'. Most of slit earrings of the Neolithic Age concentrate in Northeast China and the areas south of the Yangtze River, and the Japanese Archipelago. However, unfortunately, Slit earrings, which were produced in the tradition of the incipient and early phases of the Neolithic Age in Northeast Asia, have not been excavated in the Korean Peninsula. The number of slit earrings reported so far is eight, and especially until the 20th century, almost none was reported with its exact excavation location and only three of them are known as excavated through surface surveys and preliminary excavations. However, from the beginning of the 21st century onwards, the number of discovered slit earrings is increasing. Particularly, five pieces of this object uncovered in the 21st century are discovered in the official excavation; thus the exact archaeological context such as buried locations and chronologies could be estimated. By considering the buried context, slit earrings are associated with stone axes, which were produced in the incipient and early phase of the Neolithic Age in the Korean Peninsula. In addition, considering the number of unearthed objects is a few, it could be postulate that slit earring was the artefact that only a few persons, who had a special role in the society, could possess. However, slit jade earrings that have been excavated in the Korean Peninsula are extremely low in their number compared to the cases of its neighbouring countries such as China and Japan, and the researches on this subject have not been much conducted in Korea. Therefore, it is my supposition that slit earrings, which have been discovered in the Korean Peninsula, might be the imported item from the nearby areas. Particularly, the Southern Coast was closely connected with Japanese Islands and the Eastern Coast was interchanged with Northeast China or the Maritime Province of Siberia. Considering that excavations and researches on the Neolithic remains in the Korean Peninsula have not been sufficiently and actively conducted, it could be expected that the further investigations and researches will reveal the sufficient quantities of slit earrings in near future.

This study was conducted in order to investigate the growth and morphological development of Cypselurus hiraii larvae and to obtain basic data for taxonomic research. Specimens for this study were collected using a scoop net (aperture Ø60 cm) at the Geomun Island in Yeosu-si, Jollanam-do in July and August of 2013, and the mean water temperature was $20.6{\pm}1.84^{\circ}C$ and the mean salinity was $32.1{\pm}0.46$‰ during the collection. In post-larvae of total length 9.58~9.69 mm (average $9.63{\pm}0.04mm$, n=5), the mouth was opened, and the maxilla was shorter than the mandible. The length of the dorsal fin did not exceed that of the ventral fin, and the dorsal fin was on the same line as that of the ventral fin. In post-larvae of total length 18.0~18.5 mm (average $18.2{\pm}0.22mm$, n=5), with the growth accelerated, the pectoral fin was developed broadly and their caudal fin was differentiated into the heterocercal tail. These characteristics suggest the development of swimming ability and resultant active feeding activities. In post-larvae of total length 22.4~23.0 mm (average $22.7{\pm}0.21mm$, n=5), striped melanophores deposited in the pectoral fin, and small spot-like melanophores expanded in the processes formed on the mandible. The dorsal and anal fins were on the same line, and the anal fin was situated behind the dorsal fin.
The dynamics of fish community was investigated in the Lake Paldang from September 1995 to August 1996. The collected fishes were classified into forty two species involving in eleven families. Dominant species was Erythroculter erythropterus (relative abundance : 27.96%) and subdominant species was Lepomis macrochirus (20.69%). Also, Squalidus japonicus coreanus (19.25%), Opsariichthys bidens (4.07%), Hemibarbus labeo (3.42%), Acheilognathus yamatsutae (2.68%) and Micropterus salmoides (2.68%) were numerous. Dominant species was L. macrochirus in spring and autumn and S. japonacus coreanus in summer. E. erythropterus was subdominated in all seasons. The still-water fishes increased after construction of Paldang Dam. Ten were endemic species in Korea. Four species were exotic, and they occupied 24.75% in relative abundance. Dominance index was high at St. 2, diversity and evenness at St. 5, and richness at St. 4. In these stations, collection was made with casting net and scoop net. In the stations where collection was made with fixed shore net, dominance index was high at St. 8, diversity and evenness at St. 14, and richness at St. 7. E. erythropterus showed a stable age structure, while L. macrochirus was composed of mainly 3~4 year classes.
This study intends to consider about the food culture during the latterly Chosun Dynasty through the genre paintings which are depicted realistically about the total food life figures for example not only the foods, but also that people who eat and drink the food and eating implements, eating methods. There are 9 pieces of works Kim hong-do's which are the best appraisal on the incorporated Korean emotion and on the real life of general public. Those are selected for this study's characteristics through the literature consideration. The characteristics of the tableware pottery and food culture are following things. The first is a white porcelain's development and popularization. In the latterly Chosun Dynasty period, the development of the agriculture and commerce made been connected to the affluent food cultures, these made increase the porcelain's use of upper classes and these made been connected to the development of the porcelain's cultures. The second is the development of various pottery with a dark brown glaze manufactures. The development of agriculture and economy power made bring the development of the kinds of sauces and Kimchi culture with an inflow of foreign crops and these made making the large an earthenware pot or jar which could store something during the long time. The third is the development of the small dining table on the eating the bread of idleness. In the Chosun dynasty period, the food style was been unified to he eating the bread of idleness and been lowered. These made developed of various small dining table through the underfloor heating system's generalization. The fourth is the development of the spoon with the soup culture. It is the East Asia called that the spoon culture boundary, this show the characteristic that we use the spoon mainly compare with another countries. Finally, it is universal use of the fixed quantitative implements. They could live quantitative life with the scales which are jar of soy sauce, liquor jug, jar, scoop leading a set of tableware.

The purpose of this study was to investigate disinfection state and effective factors of utensils and equipments used to foodservice of elementary schools in Busan area, The questionnaire which was administered to 160 dietitians was used in this study as a survey method. The results were as follows. The disinfection method of tray was mainly used by electric gas. Table and other products of stainless steel sanitized by sodium hypochlorite and hot water, but above 51% of slicer. grinder and peeler were not sanitized after used. The products of wood and plastic also used mainly sodium hypochlorite and hot water as sanitizers. In disinfection time, knife, wood spoon and plastic products should be sanitized on demand, but 30.9~53.5% of this utensils except rice scoop were sanitized on demand that showed deficiency of cognition for sanitation. The disinfection of most of utensils and equipments was conducted every day, but food case, slicer, peeler, grinder and wood spoon showed lower disinfection frequency than other products, The method of disinfection was related to dietitians age and career number of total serving, duration of foodservice and serving place, The disinfection time was also affected by dietitians age and educational level, and serving place. The disinfection frequency was affected by number of employee, number of total serving and duration of foodservice. Therefore based on the results of this study, it should be given to the microbiological study on disinfection method of utensils such as slicer, grinder, peeler, large spoon, plastic prouducts and the dietitians sanitation training also should be conducted continuously.
Along with the rapid growth of the food service industry, food safety requirements and hygiene are increasing in importance in restaurants and hotels. Accordingly, there is a need for quick and practical monitoring techniques to determine hygiene status in the field. In this study, we investigated 5 domestic 5-star hotels specifically, personal hygiene (hands of workers), cooking utensils (knife, cutting board, food storage container, slicing machine blade, ice-maker scoop) and other facilities (refrigerator handle, sink). In addition, we examined the hygiene management status of customer contact points (tongs for buffet, etc.) to derive the correlation between the ATP values as a, a verification method. As a result of our five-hotel survey, we found that cooking utensils and personal hygiene were relatively sanitary compared to other inspection items (cookware 92.2%, personal hygiene 91.4%, facilities and equipment 76.19%, customer contact items 88.6%). According to our ATP-based mothod, kitchen utensils (51 ± 45 RLU/25㎠) were relatively clean compared to other with facilities and equipment (167 ± 123 RLU/25㎠). In the present study, we also evaluated the usefulness of the ATP bioluminescence method for monitoring surface hygiene at hotel restaurants. After correlation analysis of surveillance of hygienic status points and ATP assay, most results showed negative and high correlation (-0.64--0.89). Our ATP assay (92 ± 67 RLU/25㎠) of each item after cleaning showed signigicantly reduced results compared to the ATP assay (1020 ± 1254 RLU/25㎠) for normal status, thereby indicating its suitability as a tool to verify the validity of cleaning. By our results, ATP bioluminescence could be used as an effective tool for visual numerical evaluation of invisible contaminants.
