The aim of this project is to Improve the environment for Sanbon Oriental Medical Center, Wonkwang University. Since 1997 both Occidental Medical and Oriental Medical have occupied this building. Last year most of Occidental Medical except emergency and operating parts moved to the next new building. The serious problem was the fact that the building was designed as function for office not hospital. Especially, I tried to express the images of Won-buddism as well as Oriental Medical and the design targets are : 1. comfortable, creditable atmosphere, 2. traditional, scientific image, 3. ergonomic approach, 4. faith in Oriental Medical, 5. bright, smart space. This is also to create the optimum CEI(Commercial Environmental Identity) by the value pyramid.

With the advent of the 21th century, Korea surrounded by the three sides of the sea has been underlining the fact that it will become one of the strongest maritime powers near future as ever in the past. The study shows that in order to build up Korea as a powerful maritime country, not only should we urge its government to take more in-depth political interest in the field of the shipping industry, but the effective training and the managing program for sea-farers employing in th forefront of the shipping business(as the centric panel of the competent merchant marine officers) also have to be taken into a sufficient consideration. According to the large scale, higher speed and automatization of vessels, a number of seamen who have so well-workable brain as to dexterously operate the up-dated scientific equipments have come into be demanded. This study therefore has not only suggested that an improvement for the system of the education for merchant marine officers and the effective scheme of the management on them, but especially underlined the problems of seamen' and their families' economic and social securities as well.

SIMP is an international project funded by INTAS aimed at improving the information content, which can be inferred from multi-sensor satellite imagery of marine coastal areas. Scientific teams from Germany, UK, Portugal, and Russia focus on the development of novel tools for marine remote sensing of the coastal zone. In particular, the project teams' benefit from the fact that surface films may enhance the signatures of hydrodynamic processes such as plumes, internal waves, eddies, etc., on microwave, optical, and infrared imagery. The project's objectives are to develop a robust methodology for identifying slick-related phenomena/processes through their surface signatures and thereby, to improve the discrimination capabilities between slicks and other oceanic and atmospheric phenomena by taking into account information gained from satellite imagery quasi-simultaneously recorded at microwave, visible and IR wavelengths. The results of the two project years are summarized. Examples are given for the project’s web presentation, laboratory and field experiments, and of the analyses of various satellite data.

The private security has been one of the fastest growing parts of the law enforcement industry, confronted with mutual coincidence or complementarity. Therefore, the primary factor in order to straighten it up should be bringing op a person, because he or she arranges the private security, based on the society in the end. In addition, it is suggested that further study of technical learning and its practice should be arranged. Because the education for agents undertaking the social security is comprehensive in space and limited in time, it may accompany hardship in arranging its content and curriculum Although this article leaves much to be desired, it has been analyzed end observed if a greater emphasis is placed on ample human resources supply for increased demand on social security in private law enforcement industry through institutional education system. A scientific advancement is expected to be attained in the majors related to the private security, with validity that the continuous studies should be implemented, and a social role of colleges as a specialized institute should be erected.

Black pepper (family Piperaceae), is called king of spices because it is one of the oldest spice and alone accounts for about 35% of the world's total spice trade. The pepper is used in Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of various ailments particularly neurological, broncho-pulmonary and gastrointestinal disorders. Pepper has also been reported to have various pharmacological actions but recently, it is highlighted as a bioavailability enhancer. This results in higher plasma concentration of drugs, nutrients, ions and other xenobiotics, rendering them more bioavailable for physiological as well as pharmacological actions in the body. Numerous scientific studies reported that piperine; a main bioactive compound of pepper, is responsible for its bioavailability enhancing property. It's a well known fact that pepper enhances bioavailability by inhibition of microsomal enzyme system but other mechanisms are also responsible to acts as a bioavailability enhancer. The brief overview of the mechanism of action of pepper as well as its applications as bioavailability enhancer is given in the present article.

Linzhi Native Pig is a unique local breed recently discovered in the hinterland of Tibet. Its geological distribution, natural environment and ecological conditions have been explored. Using random sampling in typical colony of classification and standard animal-scientific and biogenetic techniques, we examined its contour features, size and weight, reproductive performances, carcass characters, meat quality, fresh-keeping features and the frequency distribution in the 19 structural gene loci encoding enzymes and proteins; according to folklores and Tibetan, Chinese and English history books, the materials and literature of Tibetan Studies, we have analyzed its origin and affirmed the fact that its products have been consumed as Tibetan medicine resources. Our findings make certain that Linzhi Native Pig holds great potential value in economy and culture.

The fact that cloud computing services have been proposed in recent years, organizations and individuals face with various challenges and problems such as how to migrate applications and software platforms into cloud or how to ensure security of migrated applications. This study reviews the current challenges and open issues in cloud computing, with the focus on autonomic resource management especially in federated clouds. In addition, this study provides recommendations and research roadmaps for scientific activities, as well as potential improvements in federated cloud computing. This survey study covers results achieved through 190 literatures including books, journal and conference papers, industrial reports, forums, and project reports. A solution is proposed for autonomic resource management in the federated clouds, using machine learning and statistical analysis in order to provide better and efficient resource management.

These days, advanced technologies provide an easy way for the public to obtain information about anything, including astronomy. Most people know astronomy for its sky events and scientific results. In Indonesia, the public has a high interest not only in astronomy information but also in participating in astronomy events, but it is limited to those who has access to a club nearby. Otherwise, for those who live in remote areas or simply don't have any access, they depend on information from newspapers, magazines, books or word of mouth. They usually think that astronomy is a difficult subject to learn, while in fact it is something doable and fun.

In terms of modern design history, De Stijl movement had continued as one of influential groups by 1931, and it attempted to pursue universial reality that combined painting and architecture, seeking a new style based on Neo-Plasticism and succeeded the nineteen century's Art and Craft movement and Art Nouveau. Especially, the De Stijl movement provided 1920's rationalism with new space pattern and its ideas greatly affected the Bauhaus movement such as Walter Gropius or Mies van der Rohe. De Stijl's utopian idea that claimed on the conformity of art and life contributed modernism movement combined with scientific and rational view, and even now experts its lasting power with the concept of time and space free from simple cube in modern architecture and interior design. The tue meaning of the De Stijl movements is that is sis the basis of general ideas, and the change of modern architecture is based on this modern styled foundation. It may be the unchangeable fact like Russell Hitchocok says, "The architectural style and pattern which everyone admitts its importance has the value of living."
