Childhood Fever Management: Current Practice vs Evidence (아동의 발열관리: 현황 및 과학적 근거)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this review were to address misconceptions of childhood fever and fever management practice among parents and health care providers, and to identify the scientific evidences against such misconceptions and practices. Methods: Journal databases and clinical guidelines from 2000 to 2015 were searched. The search terms were fever, fever management, misconception, myth, fiction, fact, fever phobia, child, antipyretics, tepid bath, alternating use/combined use of antipyretics, and physical cooling method. Results: There are significant gaps between current concepts and practices, and the scientific evidence. Misconceptions and unrealistic concerns about childhood fever still exist among parents and even health care providers, worldwide. The evidences suggest that antipyretics should be given carefully with the aim of relieving discomfort or pain rather than decreasing the temperature itself. Alternating use of antipyretics should be discouraged due to the risk of confusion and error. Antipyretics do not prevent febrile convulsions. Moreover, the scientific evidence does not support tepid sponge massage. Conclusion: Evidence-based childhood fever management interventions should be targeted toward parents and health care providers. By adopting an evidence-based approach to nursing interventions, pediatric nurses can ensure children receive appropriate and safe fever management.

  • The article highlights the European experience of innovative educational technologies of training management specialists. Based on existing strategies, relevant in the European educational space, the introduction of regulatory elements to maintain a balance between the traditional and innovative format of the educational process, which is typical for the Ukrainian education system is proposed. The article aims to single out educational and technological innovations into a separate cluster of managerial training at different levels in the context of the principles of the modern synergetic sociocultural paradigm. The main objectives of the work are to develop settings to ensure the effective functioning of innovative educational technologies. Among the synergetic principles of educational technologies, providing the formation of necessary competencies of future managers, are: self-organization, interdisciplinarity, nonlinearity, individuality, and technologization. The methods used in the scientific study can be attributed to the group of scientific synergetic methodology. So, the training of specialists in management, implemented in the European practice assumes the use of new educational strategies. These technologies provide both the necessary skills of different levels (hard-soft-digital skills) and the observance of value components (solidarity, ethics, inclusiveness, openness).

  • Including 425 Program, which is Korean military surveillance and reconnaissance satellite, there were mostly civil-driven space programs in Korea. However, there are increasing numbers of military demand-driven space program in nowadays. Furthermore, it is positive effects on launch vehicle development in Korea that the termination of Korea-U.S. missile guideline. In this paper, it emphasizes the needs of system engineering(SE) management method which meets both defense system's characteristics and space's characteristics. These characteristics are such as non-fixable after the launch, the security issue in defense system. And it also introduces SE tool, methodology and its philosophy. There are several functions that data management, issue management, risk management, and technical requirement management. Also describing its implications and direction of improvement.

Therefore, this study did by purpose that 6sigma that is scientific method that do customers satisfaction by ultimate purpose acts as basic study that can heighten practical use Possibility and result of interior Design management and value by interior design standardization process. Need to use marketing data that is scientific design component at schematic design step for successful interior design that can improve result. Hereupon, this study is doing to big dimension that utilizes 6sigma and makes standard process of only Interior Design, and did to dimension that present study phase verifies if '6sigma' is practical use possibility by intoner design process. Did by method that verification method of 6sigma practical use possibility analyzes "Information transmission efficiency improvement of department store display space" 6sigma project example. When see that example project is analyzed on Improvement constituent that "Design improvement" out of Vital few Xs of statistical analysis item must heighten the customers satisfaction rate conclusively, target process might be established because design becomes center of gravity if did design improvement very first time. Finally, possibility that 6sigma can utilize in process of interior design is verified, and it is scientific methodology that can utilize to all business members that there are not any special category of business even if is in practical use. Such scientific 6sigma method need persistent study that make standard process analyzing a lot of problems that is expected to be beaconed and happens substantially in here after to management development of interior design.

Research on Efficiency of Western China's Universities under the "Double First-Class" Initiative ("더블 퍼스트 클래스"를 통한 중국 서부 대학의 연구 효율성에 관한 연구)

  • The research focuses on the provincial universities in the western region of China and investigates the research level of 12 provincial universities from 2017 to 2021, considering both static efficiency and dynamic efficiency. The static efficiency is examined using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), while the dynamic efficiency is analyzed using the Malmquist model. The analysis results are as follows: the scientific research efficiency of universities in the 12 western provinces is generally not high. Against the background of the "Double First-Class" construction, the overall efficiency of scientific research in universities is showing an increasing trend. The main reason for the increase in scientific research efficiency is the increase in scale efficiency in recent years. The total factor productivity (TFP) of research activities is influenced by the technology progress index and exhibits a pattern of initial increase, followed by a decline, and then an increase again. Research conclusion: Western colleges and universities should reasonably allocate resources for scientific research activities, perfect scientific research mechanisms, improve management standards, promote scientific innovation and corresponding achievements, and ultimately raise the scientific and technological level in western China.

  • ISO international quality management system plays an important role in many organizations. It has been a basis to build quality management system in organizations to meet customer's need. Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information(hereinafter KISTI) is first ISO registered organization in field of scientific and technological information service in Korea. But many foreign organizations have been registered to ISO or have other quality management system in same field. We can find some issues from the result of KISTI's ISO 9001:2000 quality management system registration.

  • Various successful TQM procedures have contributed to solve the problems in actual business, but recently it is required to more speedily perform the improvement activity and to challenge solving foreseen latent engineering problems in addition to existing ones. This paper proposes a new scientific methodology which enables us to perform the requirements and to improve the principle of TQM. The performance of the proposed method is illustrated through same practical studies.
