  • This paper studied about the design and implementation of tactical communication network simulator in order to obtain tactical communication network parameter, such as link capacity and routing plan, and a number of exceptional cases that may occur during actual deployment by conducting simulation of a large-scale tactical communication networks. This tactical communication network simulator provides equipment models and link models of commercial OPNET simulator for tactical communication network. In addition, 6 types of simulation scenario writings convenience functions and traffic generation models that may occur in situations of tactical communication network environment were implemented in order to enhance user friendliness. By taking advantages of SITL(System-In-The-Loop) function of OPNET, the tactical communication network simulator allows users to perform interoperability test between M&S models and actual equipment in operating simulation of tactical communication network, which is run on software. In order to confirm the functions and performance of the simulator, small-scale of tactical communication network was configured to make sure interoperability between SITL-based equipment and a large-scale tactical communication network was simulated and checked how to cope with traffic generated for each network node. As the results, we were able to confirm that the simulator is operated properly.

  • Purpose: Sex education should be given priority to address dating violence. Comprehensive sex education has been developed based on a nonviolent communication model between couples for the smooth resolution of problems with the opposite sex. The purpose of this study was to develop and apply Comprehensive Sex Education for unmarried couples in their 20s-30s and to examine the effects on sex communication, problem-solving communication, and relationship competence. Methods: This study developed a total of six web-based sex education sessions. A comprehensive sex education program combined with nonviolent communication between couples was developed based on the UNESCO Sex Education Guidelines. A pre- and post-equivalence control design was used to provide moderation-based sex education to compare the effects on gender communication, communication dissatisfaction, and relationship development. Results: We developed a comprehensive sex education program for couples that took three minutes per episode, on a web-based basis. Sex communication, problem-solving communication, and love relationship competence showed significant pre- and post-test differences between the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: The program of this study is an attempt to introduce Korea to comprehensive sex education, which has already been shown to be effective through numerous verification processes abroad and will provide assistance in forming future relationships between lovers.

Research, design, data, and methodology - For the empirical analysis of this study, reliability analysis and frequency analysis were conducted. T-test and ANOVA analyses were performed. In addition, the effects of nonverbal communication have on customer behavior have regressed analysis. The collected data was empirical suing the SPSS Win 18.0. Results - Among the non-verbal communication qualities were found to significantly influence customer attitudes, and demographic differences in airline flight attendants were also shown to influence their perceptions. Empirical analysis revealed significant differences in demographic characteristics between gender, age and airlines used. Conclusions - All of the non-verbal communication's attributes were found to significantly impact customer attitude. It is used to train the importance of nonverbal communication quality for the role of cabin crew members and to enhance the loyalty of the customers to Airline. This study identifies the relationship between the impact of non-verbal communication quality on customer attitudes and implies the importance of non-verbal communication quality for airline flight attendants. Also, this study suggests that there is a close mechanism between the nonverbal communication and the customer attitudes to airlines.

  • Modern military operations rely heavily on broadband communication and data transmission. Recently, the rising use of intelligent unmanned technology necessitates more frequencies. Free-space optical(FSO) communication can offer high-data-rate communications with high security and no need for licensing. Therefore, the FSO communication holds significant interest and potential in the defense industry. In this paper, we present design of a FSO communication terminal taking Korean domestic weather conditions into account. The domestic atmospheric attenuation is analyzed using several models and two-year meteorological information for a city in Korea, and this analysis is utilized to design the FSO communication terminal. The design results were verified using an FSO communication test bed, and we achieved an Ethernet bandwidth of approximately 1.86 Gbps at a distance of 1.3 km with the optical amplifier output power of the test bed set to about 20 dBm.

  • Purpose: Shopee, Indonesia's most frequently visited marketplace in November 2023, had 427.2 million visits. Supported by the live streaming feature, Shopee has become the most widely used online shopping platform, with an 83.4% market share in 2022. Several factors, such as brand trust and promotions, have significantly influenced Shopee's dominance and consumer purchasing decisions. This research aims to investigate the effect of cosmetic product distribution, brand trust, and promotions on purchasing decisions, considering gender and age as control variables. Research design, data and methodology: A quantitative approach using a survey research method was employed with a sample of 150 respondents, who were followers of the Shopee ESQA Cosmetics account, obtained through the Yamane formula. Data was collected via an online questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study was PLS-SEM with Smart PLS software. The results of this research indicate a significant effect of the distribution of cosmetics products, brand trust, promotions, gender, and age as control variables on the purchase decision variable. Conclusions: The distribution of cosmetic products, brand trust and promotions have a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions during live streaming on Shopee, and control variables (gender and age 36-45) have a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions.

  • This paper investigates an efficient transmission scheme for the remote wireless sensors to receive information which is rarely discussed in the integrated remote wireless sensor and multibeam satellite networks (IWSMSNs). The networks can be employed to exchange sensing information for emergency scenario, ocean scenario, and so on, which are isolated from available terrestrial networks. As the efficient transmission link is important to the IWSMSNs, we propose a hybrid full frequency (HFF) precoding by taking advantage of frequency reuse and multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) precoding. Considering energy efficiency and sinks fairness are crucial to transmission link, thus the HFF precoding problems are formulated as transmit power minimization (TPM) and max-min fair (MMF) received signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) problems, which can be transformed to indefinite quadratic optimization programs. Then this paper presents a semi-definite programming (SDP) algorithm to solve the problems for the IWSMSNs. The promising potential of HFF for the real IWSMSNs is demonstrated through simulations.

  • Co-saliency detection is a task of detecting same or similar objects in multi-scene, and has been an important preprocessing step for multi-scene image processing. However existing methods lack efficiency to match similar areas from different images. In addition, they are confined to single image detection without a unified framework to calculate co-saliency. In this paper, we propose a novel model called Superpixel Matching-Cellular Automata (SMCA). We use Hausdorff distance adjacent superpixel sets instead of single superpixel since the feature matching accuracy of single superpixel is poor. We further introduce Cellular Automata to exploit the intrinsic relevance of similar regions through interactions with neighbors in multi-scene. Extensive evaluations show that the SMCA model achieves leading performance compared to state-of-the-art methods on both efficiency and accuracy.

  • AAL2 has been adopted for bandwidth-efficient trans-mission of low bit tate traffic over ATM networks in ITUT and ATM Forum. Since ATM/AAL2 is expected to be used as a switching technology in third-generation mobile access networks and mobile data traffic is expected to increase rapidly in near future, there must be a need for efficient scheduling scheme satisfying the QoS requirement of ow bit rate voice as well as the one of high bit rate data. In this paper, we propose a new class-scheduling scheme to improve data packet loss probability, while Qos of voice traffic is guaranteed, when data traffic is multiplexed together with mobile voice traffic into a single ATM VCC. The proposed scheme can efficiently support data traffic by assigning a time threshold value to voice traffic. Through simulation study, we show that the proposed scheme does not only achieve better efficiency for providing both mobile voice and data services than HOL class-scheduling scheme and normal FIFO scheme, but also guarantees mean voice packet delay under a certain criteria.
