The purpose of this study is to present the effects of a bibliotheraphy program using picture books on school adaptation of maladjusted high school students. The first and second year students of P High School that is located in Yongin city of Gyeonggi Do, bibliotherapy research using picture books has been carried out with 11 maladjusted students in school life. According to the analysis results is as follows. The bibliotherapy program using picture books turned out to be effective in adaptation ability ane sub-domains of adaptation ability such as teacher relationship, peer relationship, school class and school regulation of maladjusted students in school life.

The aim of this study is to find out the effect of reading aloud science books on change of attitude toward the science, interest of instruction. Participants included 52 elementary school students. For this study, two classes were divided into experimental class and control class. The control class takes a regular instructions and the experimental class takes a reading aloud instructions. Two chapter were selected, 'Volcano and Rocks' and 'Family of the Sun', for this study. Students were treated for 12 hours. All the results were analyzed quantitatively and following conclusions were made. The students' scientific attitude in the experimental class were higher than those of students in the control class. However, according to statistical analysis, this result is meaningless. In the sub-parts, critical ability, cooperation and creativity were improved meaningfully. Instruction with reading aloud science books didn't show a meaningful difference in interest of instruction. However, in the sub-part, they showed meaningful improvement in attention and relevance.

The Long-Term Development Plan of the Pusan National University(PNU) has announced on 1991 in order to reach its roles and levels as an University with international standards, a Graduate School research-oriented and a core university in its community through accomplishment of this Plan. University libraries would be planned to support their universities' goals. Therefore the Library of PNU is facing on the task for supporting the Plan. The Collection for Korean Classical Materials (CKCM) is not limited in Korean Literature, Korean History, Korean Philosophy fields but covered the academic fields except a hightech science : Humanities, social science. pure science, applied science and arts etc. However, the Library of PNU does not have the organization, special librarian and budget for CKCM. Under this notion organization, budget and librarian for the collection would be followed. The CKCM contains the original editions, photography editions, copied issues. microform reproductions with comprehensive subjects in the fields of studies. Especially for the collection of treasure books the role of the Library of PNU induce to open individuals' collections or families' collections to public through the Library. The equipments for preserving rare books and treasure books are the conditioners for humidity and temperature, automatic extinguishment system. The reference materials, copy machine and reading room are requested for the user service of CKCM. The materials would be one of the most important thing in study and research. Therefore the Library of PNU need to pay attention to develop and preserve CKCM.

The content curation service through big data analysis is receiving great attention in various content fields, such as film, game, music, and book. This service recommends personalized contents to the corresponding user based on user's preferences. The existing book curation systems recommended books to users by using bibliographic citation, user profile or user log data. However, these systems are difficult to recommend books related to character names or spatio-temporal information in text contents. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a personalized book curation system based on integrated mining of a book. The proposed system consists of mining system, recommendation system, and visualization system. The mining system analyzes book text, user information or profile, and SNS data. The recommendation system recommends personalized books for users based on the analysed data in the mining system. This system can recommend related books using based on book keywords even if there is no user information like new customer. The visualization system visualizes book bibliographic information, mining data such as keyword, characters, character relations, and book recommendation results. In addition, this paper also includes the design and implementation of the proposed mining and recommendation module in the system. The proposed system is expected to broaden users' selection of books and encourage balanced consumption of book contents.

This paper intends to describe the concepts and historical development of information resources in the digital library, to analyze the different types and characteristics of electronic information resources, and to comment the cases of electronic information resources-especially electronic books, electronic journals, and electronic newspapers. Over the centuries, since the introduction of the printing press, conventional books have played a fundamental role in a wide range of information dissemination and knowledge transfer activities. But, I have mentioned some of limitations of conventional books and electronic information resources in this article. In order to overcome some of them, I think that we should introduce the idea of electronic information resources as a means of storing, sharing and communicating large volumes of dynamic multimedia information.

The main purpose of this research is two kinds. First, explain the connection residing process of the Baik Dal-Soon(白達淳)'s house which is located at the Kumgok of Yongsanmyon Sanggumri, Jhanghung County, Chonnam Province in Korea. Second, analyse the collected process of old books which have been transmitted to a he's family. The result is as follows. First, the Kumgok has been connection resided Kawngju Lee family(廣州 李氏), Yongkwang Kim family(靈光 金氏), Suwon Baik family(水原 白氏) order by marriage connection. Second the most of old books transmitted to a he's family have been colleoted by Baik Jin-Hang (白鎭恒, 1760∼ 1818).

The best management methods in the best companies in U.S.A. actually can not be well introduced in Korea. So, the management methods should be changed with the environment's changing. Jon Gyunk Gak established in 1475 was the library of Sung Kyun Kwan which was the only university in the period of Yi Dynasty. For the study of library histories of Korea, particularly the libraries of high learning institutions the Jon Gyung Gak library acquires a greater importance. The collection of Jon Gyung Gak consisted mainly of Chinese classics such as the works of Confucius, Mencius, or the books about histories which were the textbooks of students in those days. But the books about Laoism or Buddhism were strictly forbiddened, and also books like medicine or agriculture pertaining to technical sciences were disregarded. The Jon Gyung Gak was destroyed by fire in 1514 and suffered severely again by the 1m Chin War in 1590's, but the library had been made constant efforts to maintain its collections for the performance of educational functions. This paper gives special emphasis to analyzing the collection of Jon Gyung Gak by its chronological order.

It is important and urgent matters to conserve books and documents. Causes to the deterioration of papers, chemical methods to prevent or retard the deterioration of papers. physical methods to preserve the deteriorated papers, preparation of alkaline papers of which hydrolysis is very slow compared with acid ones, and recent requirements for papers used in books and documents are reviewed and discussed.
