Research Capability Enhancement System Based on Prescriptive Analytics (지시적 분석 기반 역량 강화 시스템)

  • The explosive growth of data and the rapidly changing technical social evolution new analysis paradigm for predicting and reacting the future the past and present ig data. Prescriptive analysis has a fundamental difference because can support specific behaviors and results according to user's goals with defin researchers establish judgments and activities achiev the goals. However research methods not widely implemented and even the terminology, Prescriptive analysis, is still unfamiliar. This paper thus propose an infrastructure in the prescriptive analysis field with key considerations for enhancing capability of researchers through a case study based on InSciTe Advisory developed with scientific big data. InSciTe Advisory system s developed in 2013, and offers a prescriptive analytics report which contains various As-Is analysis results and To-Be analysis results 5W1H methodology. InSciTe Advisory therefore shows possibility strategy aims to reach a target role model group. Through the availability and reliability of the measurement model the evaluation results obtained relative advantage of 118.8% compared to Elsevier SciVal.

A Study on the Status of Research Performance Analysis Services in University Libraries: Focusing on the Research Performance Management System (대학도서관의 연구성과분석 서비스 현황에 관한 연구 - 연구성과분석 시스템을 중심으로 -)

  • Research competitiveness is the future of the university and the future of the country. This study is to present considerations when university libraries introduce and perform research performance analysis services and to propose guidelines for selection of analysis solutions. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, 6 university library staff were interviewed and 4 research performance analysis solutions were compared. The contents of the interview include the background of service promotion, service content, subscription solution, service provision scope and provision method. The research performance analysis solutions selected for analysis are InCite, SciVal, RIMS and Scholytics. As a result of analyzing the four solutions, it was found that most of the software has the necessary functions to perform research performance analysis service tasks, and generally subscribed to the solution according to the purpose of analysis. The results of this study can be used as reference materials for performing research performance analysis services in university libraries.

Preparation and Its Taste-Active Components of Grass puffer (Takifugu niphobles) Extracts (복섬 엑스분의 추출 및 정미발현성분의 조성)

  • To develop natural intermediate flavoring substances, optimal hydrolysis conditions and taste compounds for two step enzyme hydrolysate(TSEH) using Grass puffer(Takifugu niphobles) were investigated. The optimal conditions for TSEH method were revealed in temperature at $55^{\circ}C$ 3 hour digestion with Alcalase (pH 7.5) at the 1st step and 2 hour at $45^{\circ}C$ digestion with Flavourzyme(pH 6.0~6.5) at the 2nd step. TSEH method was superior to hot-water extraction on the aspect of yield, nitrogen contents and organoleptic taste quality such as umami and control of bitter taste formation. In taste active-components in Glass puffer TSEH, total free amino acid content was 4,502 mg%, major free amino acids were Pro, Leu, Lys, Hypro, Tau, Arg, Phe, Ala, Glu and Val in ordor. As for nucleotides, IMP(372 mg%) was the principal component and also contents of TMAO, total creatinine, and betaine were 43, 278 and 41 mg% in Glass puffer TSEH, respectively. The major inorganic ions in TSEH were Na(949 mg%), K(222 mg%), Cl(1,180 mg%) and $PO_4$(1,081 mg%).

A Study on Microstructure of Vanadium-Aluminum Alloy by Mechanical Alloying (기계적합금화법(機械的合金化法)에 의(依)한 V-Al합금(合金)의 미세조직(微細組織) 변화(變化)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • The formation of brittle intermetallic compound such as $VAl_3$ tends tp lower the toughness of V-Al alloys. Also, due to the high melting point of vanadium, it is difficult to make that alloy by previous ingot metallurgy method. To depress the technique has been adopted. The effect of particle size and milling time on the phase has been thoroughly studied. For mechanical alloying, SPEX mixed/mill has been used. The milling time and the composition of V and Al are varied to find the optimum condition of forming amorphous phase. The X-Ray Diffrection pattern, microstructure detection, microhandess test, experiments are carried out to analyze MA product. When the final step is reached, no lamellar-structure is detected. The steady state condition is observed after 8 hours and 10 hours milling for 15wt.%Al and 30wt.%Al alloy, respectively. The microhardness continuously increases up to 10 hours after then it remains constant.

  • Vanadium은 비중이 6.09로써 비교적 무거운 금속에 속하나 Al을 30wt% 이내로 첨가하여 $Ni_3Al$ 및 TiAl와 유사한 비강도가 크며 내열성을 지니는 V-Al합금을 얻을 가능성을 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 V-Al합금에 Si, Y, Ti, B등 제3원소를 첨가함에 따르는 미세 응고조직의 거동과 기계적 성질을 조사하였다. 알곤 분위기에서 제조된 V-30%Al합금은 상온에서 고용체와 취성이 큰 금속간 화합물인 $VAl_3$등 2상으로 존재하므로 용체화 처리 과정이 요구되며 24시간 이상 장시간 열처리에 의하여 단일 고용상을 이룰 수 있었다. 규소의 첨가는 금속간 화합물의 형성과 아울러 합금의 경도를 크게 증가시키는 경향을 나타내며 B을 0.3%정도가지 첨가할 때 경도가 낮아지는 현상이 관찰되었다. �c칭된 V-30%Al 합금은 입계면을 따라 decohesive rupture 현상을 나타내며 입자간 파괴 현상도 일부 관찰되었다.

Effects of Feed Processing Methods on Growth Performance and Ileal Digestibility of Amino Acids in Young Pigs

  • Three experiments were conducted to determine the feed processing method best suited for early and conventionallyweaned pigs, and to investigate the effects of different extrusion temperatures on ileal digestibility of amino acids in diets containing different protein sources. In exp.1, a total of 108 pigs (Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire${\times}$Duroc; 24 d of age and 7.60 kg average body weight) were alloted on the basis of sex, weight and ancestry to three treatments in a randomized complete block design. Feed processing methods used were mash (M), simple pellet (SP), and expanded pellet (EP). In exp. 2, a total of 96 pigs (Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire${\times}$Duroc; 14 d of age) were allotted on the basis of sex, weight, and ancestry to three treatments in a randomized complete block design. Diets were mash (M), expanded pellet (EP), and expanded pellet crumble (EPC). In exp. 3, a study was designed to investigate the effect of different extrusion temperatures (100, 120, and $140^{\circ}C$) over the control (untreated) on the ileal digestibility of amino acids in diets containing protein sources such as spray-dried plasma protein (SDPP), whey protein concentrate (WPC), and fish meal (FM). Results in exp.1 showed that ADG, ADFI and the F/G ratio of pigs fed the SP diet were improved (p<0.05) compared with those fed the M or the EP diets, but the digestibility of nutrients was not different (p>0.05) among the treatments. In exp. 2, pigs fed expanded pellet treatments (EP or EPC) had a significantly improved (p<0.05) F/G ratio compared to the pigs fed the M diet which was primarily attributed to the significant reduction (p<0.05) in ADFI, but the overall growth rate of pigs fed expanded pellet diets was not improved. In exp. 3, there was a significant interaction effect (p<0.05) between the extrusion temperature and protein source on the ileal digestibility of amino acids. With an extrusion temperature of $100^{\circ}C$, the ileal digestibility of Lys, Val, Gly and Ser was significantly lower in the diet containing WPC compared to the diet containing SDPP. Increasing the temperature to $120^{\circ}C$ led to significant differences (p<0.05) in the digestibility of Thr and Tyr between diets containing WPC and SDPP. Regardless of extrusion temperatures, the weaned pigs' diet containing either SDPP or FM had significantly higher Lys, Phe, Thr, Val, and Gly digestibility relative to the WPC diet. Results of the present study suggest that simple pelleting of diets containing protein sources such as whey protein concentrate, spray-dried plasma protein and fish meal would be better than the extruded or expanded pellet diets. Extruder or expander processing of weaned pigs' feed could reduce palatability and ileal digestibility of several amino acids and therefore may be responsible for a negative growth response in weaned pigs.
