A study on improvement of walking safety in newtown schoolzone way (초등학교 통학환경개선에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a scheme to provide children safer and more comfortable walking circumstances by survey current walking circumstances of schoolzone ways. A scheme suggested in this study was based on the analysis of survey to elementary school in 3 Newtowns(Dongtan, Dongbaek and Gumdan Districts) and actually surveyed data on school zone, the scheme can be summed up as follows; First, to avoid pedestrian roads being interrupted and to expend waiting space near schoolzone ways, several measures are needed including fixing roads and building additional gateway. Second, to secure pedestrians' safety in school zone ways should be planned and established more security concepts und facilities Third, to improve the walking safety in schoolzone way should be established specially "schoolzone B-plan".

  • In simulation model, when it's occurred model succession, the parent model is connected to child model. The model succession also is divided into integrity and fragment by the succession characteristic. The schoolzone system is a monitoring system to monitor the accident of people or physical contact occurred in school, and it is installed recently in the school. This paper proposes the setup scheme of schoolzone system.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of schoolzone safety to the protection and management of accident and crime of school circumstance that it is increased recently. Hence, sensor network based intelligent monitoring module must be considered for schoolzone safety. It is not simple CCTV monitoring, but it means that the ability extension is proposed to monitor the dangerous situation for the risk management. Hence, this paper proposes the design of monitoring module considering various danger situations that can be occurred around the school.

  • Children in schoolzone accidents occur frequently in order to actively respond to the situation on the module for automated recognition research. By the vehicle penetration such like schoolzone, child object recognition, and GPS coordination information, the monitoring scenario can be constructed, and if an event occurs corresponding to strategic scenario so that suitable reaction can be provided to increase safety level to the schoolzone. In this paper, a GPS sensor and the image sensor and the monitoring server on the network based on the integration of context-aware methods have been studied. The image sensor section and the GPS section through analysis of the situation analysis and recognition of the object based on the scenario can actively cope with the situation according to the methods proposed.

  • In this paper, we propose a scheme of database management to administer gathered data in schoolzone system. By using image sensor and GPS sensor gathered image and coordination information is transferred to the system server through the networks that it is managed by the database to analyze the situation recognition. Schoolzone system implements the analysis of specific scenario to gathered data of database so that its results and corresponding implementation is reported to monitoring server and their results have been stored.
