부산시내 일부 공단지역과 주거지역 초등학생의 건강상태 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Health Status of the Elementary Students Living in a certain Industrial area and a certain Residential area in Busan)

  • This study was conducted to suggest a necessity in student health promotion device by comparing the health status and identifying the environmental health influence of the elementary students in Busan. Five schools were selected as sample group based on the number of air pollutant emitting facilities and whole 6th grade 825 students(391 from industrial area and 434 from residential area) were selected from these elementary school. The data were collected from convenient sample based on written questionnaires from 1st to 30th, Nov, 2001. The student group who lives in an industrial area experiences more the symptoms of the eyes(p=.033) and a cold(p=.000)(p=.015), more frequent indirect smoking condition(p=.023, p=.001), and think ill of the relation about air pollution and health(p=.002), cognition of the surroundings(p=.000), and perception of subjective health status(p=.000). There were not significant differences in the number of student in asthma score by their residents, but there were significant differences at the dwelling term of the students in asthma score(P=.002). According to the above results, there must be a device of preventive treatment and early diagnosis of disease needed for the student in industrial areas because they are in relatively poor health and social economic status than residential areas.

도시구조 변화에 따른 폐교활용에 관한 연구(연기군 지역 폐교 사례를 중심으로) (A Study on the Use of Closed School Regarding the Change of Provincial Condotions (Case of Closed School in Yeongi Province))

  • 본 연구는 최근 세종시 조성으로 도시성격과 환경이 급변하고 있는 연기군 지역의 폐교를 대상으로 지역의 특성을 고려한 폐교의 활용을 모색하고 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 연기군 지역 폐교의 활용실태와 입지요인에 따른 시설의 물리적 요소 분석, 관리자 면담조사를 통하여 세종시 조성에 따른 환경 변화에 대응하는 폐교활용의 대안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 기존 농어촌지역의 폐교와 달리 연기지역의 폐교는 세종시가 인접해 있는 도시적 특성을 갖고 있다. 이에 따라 세종시 인근의 폐교는 세종시 교육시설과 연계한 교육연수원, 문화체험시설 등 교육프로그램과 연계한 시설활용이 바람직하다. 둘째, 세종시에서 상대적으로 접근성이 낮은 연기지역 폐교는 마을 단위의 공동체를 중심으로 활용해야 하며, 세종시 입주민과 함께 활용할 수 있는 요소를 고려해야 한다. 노인정, 마을회관, 공동창고, 보건지소 등 편의 및 커뮤니티 시설을 주된 용도로 활용하며 아울러 세종시 입주민의 이용이 가능하도록 주말농장, 농촌체험시설 등의 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 이는 도시와 농촌의 요구를 모두 수용할 수 있는 대안으로 주민의 직접참여를 유도하여 관리 부실을 방지하고 농촌과 도시의 교류가 가능한 대안으로 폐교활용의 새로운 가능성을 보여준다.

생성적 적대 신경망을 이용한 행성의 장거리 2차원 깊이 광역 위치 추정 방법 (Planetary Long-Range Deep 2D Global Localization Using Generative Adversarial Network)

  • Planetary global localization is necessary for long-range rover missions in which communication with command center operator is throttled due to the long distance. There has been number of researches that address this problem by exploiting and matching rover surroundings with global digital elevation maps (DEM). Using conventional methods for matching, however, is challenging due to artifacts in both DEM rendered images, and/or rover 2D images caused by DEM low resolution, rover image illumination variations and small terrain features. In this work, we use train CNN discriminator to match rover 2D image with DEM rendered images using conditional Generative Adversarial Network architecture (cGAN). We then use this discriminator to search an uncertainty bound given by visual odometry (VO) error bound to estimate rover optimal location and orientation. We demonstrate our network capability to learn to translate rover image into DEM simulated image and match them using Devon Island dataset. The experimental results show that our proposed approach achieves ~74% mean average precision.

학교시설에서 CPTED 적용방안 및 원칙 따른 시뮬레이션 (Application of CPTED Principles for School Facilities : With Simulations from Field Survey in Noen New-town, Daejeon Korea)

  • 최근 학교폭력 등 청소년범죄의 증가에 따라 안전한 학교공간에 대한 요구가 증가하고 있다. 학교공간의 안전은 CCTV 등의 물리적 요소, 순찰 등의 관리적 요소 외에 CPTED 원리 등 공간계획적 요소가 함께 적용되어야 효과적으로 달성될 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 학교 및 주변지역의 안전을 확보하기 위해서 학교시설 및 주변지역의 공간계획 현황을 CPTED적 관점에서 조사하여 범죄를 예방할 수 있는 공간계획 방향을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 대전 노은택지개발지구 내에 위치한 7개 초 중 고등학교를 대상으로 CPTED의 5대 원칙에 기반한 체크리스트에 따라 현장조사를 시행하였다. 현장조사에서 분석된 문제점들을 CPTED의 5가지 원리에 따라 분류하고 각각의 항목에 대해 개선방안을 제시하였다. CPTED 적용을 위한 디자인적 기본구상과 이를 적용한 컴퓨터 그래픽 시뮬레이션 사례를 제시하였다. 학교가 범죄로부터 안전한 공간이 되기 위해서는 CPTED 적용을 위한 기본 환경디자인 원칙과 이에 기반한 가이드라인을 수립하여 적용함으로써 자연적 감시, 영역성의 확보 그리고 유지관리 등 CPTED 원리에 기반을 둔 안전한 공간을 만들 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

초등 교사는 왜 그 사이트에서 과학수업자료를 찾는가? - 과학 교수·학습 자료 지원 웹사이트를 중심으로 - (Why Do Elementary School Teachers Look for Science Instructional Materials on the Website? - Focusing on the Website that Support Science Teaching and Learning -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors that influenced elementary school teachers in choosing websites that support science teaching and learning. The participants of this study were four elementary school teachers. The data was collected through semi-constructed and in-depth interview. The results of the research are as follows: First, the individual factors that influenced participants to choose a website were teacher's thinking about appropriate science teaching and learning methods and teacher's lack of ability to prepare science lessons. Second, the surroundings factors were the image of the teachers using the website, the formation of consensus, belonging to the peer teachers, and students' preferences and interests. Third, participants chose a website where they could provide ideas for science lessons that are not available in textbooks and instructional materials for all subjects, and see stories and tips related to teaching career. In addition, the website was selected according to whether the developer of science instructional materials was a teacher, whether the materials uploaded on the website were up-to-date, and whether the teachers can learn by themselves to prepare for the science class. Fourth, participants considered the design and interactivity of the website and chose a website that is easy to search for information. Finally, we suggested the implications for building the websites that support science teaching and learning.

우리나라 중고등학교 청소년의 성별 및 학교 종류별 흡연 결정요인 (The Determinants of Adolescent Smoking by Gender and Type of School in Korea)

  • Objectives: This study assessed the influences of various factors that are related to youth smoking such as gender, age and type of school, and we wanted to provide supporting data for tailored and effective policy initiatives to reduce adolescent smoking. Methods: A self-report survey was conducted on 14,910 teen-age students who were selected based on the nationwide distribution of students in large and small cities and counties, the gender ratio of the students and the ratio of students attending various type of school at 38 middle and high schools in six representative areas of each province. The survey was handled and managed by a health education teacher at each school. Binary and multinomial logistic regression was used in the analyses. Results: Smoking by adolescents was associated with gender, age and even height. Male high school students tended to smoke more than female high school students, but this differences was not significant for middle school students. The older the adolescents were, the more likely that they smoked, except for the female high school students. Height was meaningful for all adolescents, except for the boys at the vocational high schools. Monthly allowance was significant for all adolescents. School factors such as type of school and the students' school performance were also crucial factors. Attending a vocational high school was strongly related to smoking, especially for girls. Students' school performance and the perceived level of stress were strongly associated with smoking, especially for boys. Home factors such as the relationship with parents and conversation time with family members were closely related to smoking behavior. Knowledge about the health hazard of smoking was also found to be strongly related to adolescent smoking. Conclusions: In conclusion, demographic factors, school factors, home surroundings and the perception on the harmfulness of smoking are strongly related to adolescent smoking behavior, but these differ from gender and type of school.

교재원 식물을 활용한 환경놀이 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Effectiveness of Environmental Play Teaching Program using the Plant in Neighborhood Learning Gardens)

  • The purpose of this research is placed on the development and application of environmental play programs for elementary school students their utilizing the neighborhood learning gardens in their districts to find its effectiveness. The research questions drawn to attain the purpose of the research are as follows. Initially, analyze the contents related to the plant appearing in the textbooks of wise life, science and practical arts of the 7th elementary school curriculum. Secondly, develop a plant utilizing environmental play program targeted towards the 4th grade elementary school students with the results of the textbook analysis as the foundation. Third, apply the plant utilizing environmental play program into the classroom to verify its effectiveness. Based on the conclusion of this research, the following is to be proposed. First, the revitalization of regional environmental education utilizing the various surroundings of the region is essential. Also, the current method of education, which is focused on theoretical knowledge, and being operated in most of the schools need to be changed over to diverse environmental education programs that are linked with the region. For this, an internet based database, information sharing and exchange program centralized around the regional environmental education center needs to be prepared. Moreover, since this research had developed an environmental play program utilizing plants that focused on the 4th grade elementary school students to verify its effectiveness, the development for environmental play programs dealing with various themes for each grades is required. Lastly, although this research has verified the effectiveness in the variables of ecological knowledge, environmental susceptibility, environmental attitude, environmental concern, environmental function and responsible environmental behavior amongst the variables of environmental literacy but there requires a succeeding research considering the variables that haven't been included in this research.

주파수 추적 방식에 의한 이식형 의료기기용 무선전력전달 장치 구현 (Implementation of a Transcutaneous Power Transmission System for Implantable Medical Devices by Resonant Frequency Tracking Method)

  • Recently, many implantable medical devices have been developed and manufactured in many countries. In these devices, generally, energy is supplied by a transcutaneous method to avoid the skin penetration due to the power wires. As the most transcutaneous power transmission methods, the electromagnetic coupling between two coils and resonance at a specific frequency has been used widely. However, in case of a transcutaneous power transmitter with a fixed switching frequency to drive an electromagnetic coil, inefficient power transmission and thermal damage by the undesirable current variation may occur, because the electromagnetic coupling state between a primary coil and a secondary coil is very sensitive to skin thickness of each applied position and by person. In order to overcome these defects, a transcutaneous power transmitter of which operating frequency can be automatically tracked into the resonance frequency at each environment has been designed and implemented. Through the results of experiments for different coil surroundings, we have been demonstrated that the implemented transcutaneous power transmitter can track automatically into a varied resonance frequency according to arbitrary skin thickness change.

컴퓨터 보조수업의 활용실태에 대한 분석 (A study on the practical use of CAI)

  • 본 연구는 중등학교 수학 수업에서 컴퓨터 보조수업의 활용실태를 알아보고, 컴퓨터 보조수업에 대한 수학교사와 학생들의 인식을 조사하기 위하여 설문지를 통하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 수학 수업에서 컴퓨터 보조수업의 교육적 효과 및 필요성은 인식하고 있음에도 불구하고, 그 활용은 미흡한 것으로 나타났다. 컴퓨터 보조수업의 활성화를 위해서는 다양한 코스웨어의 개발, 컴퓨터 사용 환경개선 및 교사 연수 등에 대한 지속적인 지원과 관심이 필요한 것으로 드러났다.

  • 정부의 사교육 경감 대책 및 수학교육 선진화 방안이 발표되고, 교육부에서는 '농산어촌 ICT 지원 사업'으로 농산어촌의 교육정보화 격차를 줄이는 사업을 진행하고 있다. 또한 한국교육방송(EBS)에서는 EBSmath 라는 수학 자기 주도 학습 사이트를 개설하고, 다양한 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하고 있다. '농산어촌 ICT 지원 사업'에서 지원된 스마트기기를 활용하여 EBSmath 사이트를 활용한 학습이 여러 가지의 교육정보화가 열악한 농촌학생들에게 스스로의 힘으로 지식을 습득하고 체계적으로 정리하여 새로운 지식을 산출하는 능력, 즉 수학 자기주도 학습에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 본고에서 연구하였다.
