The Literature Study of diabetes insipidus (요붕증(尿崩症)에 관한 문헌적(文獻的) 고찰(考察))

  • Objective : This study was designed to investigate causes, symptoms and treatments for the diabetes insipidus with oriental medical literatures. Methods : We surveyed the oriental and western medical books from to recent published bocks that have articles on diabetes insipidus Results and Conclusions : The symptoms of diabetes insipidus are polyuria and polydipsia, these are similar symptoms of Pae-so(肺消), Gouk-so, So-gal(消渴), Sang-so(上消), Sin-so(腎消), So-sin(消腎), Ha-so(下消) and Sin-jung(腎中) of kinds of So-gal(消渴) in the oriental medicine. The major causes of diabetes insipidus are the deficiency of the yin of the kidney, the heat of the heart and the dryness of the pulmonary. The methods of treatment are tonifying the yin of the kidney(滋補腎陰), tonifying qi and arrest discharges(益氣固澁), removing heat to moisten dryness (淸熱潤燥) and promoting fluid production to quench thirst(生津止葛). The herbal-medications for treatment are So-galbang and Yidongtang(消渴方合二冬湯), Ryoumijihawangtang gamibang(六味地黃湯加味方).

Effect of Patients with Genu Varum on Device for Correcting Bowleg: 4 Cases Report (고관절 내회전 변형 교정장치를 통한 내반슬 환자의 호전된 증례보고 4례)

  • This study was designed to evaluate clinical effects of device for correcting bowleg and Chuna to patients with genu varum. The clinical study was carried out 4 cases with genu varum, who had been treated from April, 2009 to May, 2010 in the department of oriental rehabilitation medicine, Sang-ji university oriental medical hospital. After treating device for correcting bowleg and Chuna, we find out that genu varum was improved after treatment. So these results suggest that device for correcting bowleg and Chuna was effective to patients with genu varum.

  • The most important part of understanding properties of Sasang-in(四象人) is analysis of human characters. In spite of that aspect, there are not enough explanations of human characters like natural virtues, for example Inseong(仁性), in Ijema(李濟馬)'s writings. In this examination we mainly investigated particular relationship between So-eumin(少陰人) and Inseong(仁性). But revelation and practice of Inseong(仁性) are not only belonged to So-eumin(少陰人), also applied to all people of Sasang-in(四象人). Specially for the purpose of recognizing human characters, Ijema(李濟馬) assigned virtues that is to say Inuiyeji(仁義禮智), to each persons of Sasang-in(四象人). We have explained which properties of such Sasang-in(四象人), not limited to So-eumin(少陰人), is concerned with natural virtue In(仁), actually that explanations are more concentrated to relation between Taeyang-in(太陽人) and Inseong(仁性).

  • This study is on the characteristics of SoAUiBang(小兒醫方-pediatrics). Through this study, the characteristics of SoAUiBang(小兒醫方-pediatrics) can be organized as the following: First of all, with the issue of first edition and authorship, SoAUiBang(小兒醫方-pediatrics) was written by MongAm(夢菴) ChaeGyuHeon(崔奎憲), and it is definite that it was first published in 1912 at GwangHakSeoPo(廣學書鋪) Secondly, the fact that SoAUiBang(小兒醫方-pediatrics) shows clear distinction in various aspects from previous pediatrics books has great academic value. As such, SoAUiBang(小兒醫方-pediatrics) maintained the form of Oriental Medicine and at the same time, took in the changes of the times.

  • This work describes an applications of CEP(Capability Evolution Process) in the SoS(Systems of Systems) environment. SoS is a set of systems that results when independent systems are integrated into a larger systems that delivers unique capability. CEP is focused on system performance and integration, interoperability requirement between systems within a force package. This work analyzes CEP and applies to OO joint marinetime operation. From these results, the possiblity of the CEP application in the SoS environment is presented.

  • In this paper, we design a modem SoC (System on Chip) for low power consumption and high speed wireless communications. Among various schemes of high speed communications, an MB-OFDM (Multi Band-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) UWB (Ultra-Wide-Band) chip is designed. The MB-OFDM uses wide-band frequency to provide high speed data rate. Additionally, the system imposes no interference to other services. The 90nm CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) technology is used for the SoC design. Especially, power management mode is implemented to reduce the power consumption.

  • 본 논문은 DC 마이크로그리드에서 배터리 에너지 저장 장치의 SoC(State-of-Charge)를 기반으로 한 계층 제어 기법을 제안한다. DC 마이크로그리드의 안정적인 운영을 위해 계층 구조의 제어방식이 필요하다. 제안하는 계층 제어 기법은 2 레벨로 구성된다. 1차 제어에서는 SoC에 의해 드룹 계수가 조정되고 충·방전 전류가 제어되어 SoC 밸런싱이 이루어진다. 2차 제어는 1차 제어에 의해 발생하는 배전망 전압강하를 보상한다. 제안하는 SoC 기반 계층 제어를 적용한 에너지 저장 장치는 일정 SoC 운용범위에서 동작하고 배전망 전압을 일정하게 유지하여 DC 마이크로그리드의 안정적인 전력관리가 가능해진다. 본 논문에서는 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안하는 기법의 유효성을 검증하였다.

Effect of By-Product Gypsum Fertilizer on Methane Gas Emissions and Rice Productivity in Paddy Field

  • Rice cultivation in paddy field affects the global balance of methane ($CH_4$) as a key greenhouse gas. To evaluate a potential use of by-product gypsum fertilizer (BGF) in reducing $CH_4$ emission from paddy soil, $CH_4$ fluxes from a paddy soil applied with BGF different levels (0, 2, 4 and $8Mg\;ha^{-1}$) were investigated by closed-chamber method during rice cultivation period. $CH_4$ flux significantly decreased (p<0.05) with increasing level of BGF application. $8Mg\;ha^{-1}$ of BGF addition in soil reduced $CH_4$ flux by 60.6% compared to control. Decreased soil redox potential (Eh) resulted in increasing $CH_4$ emission through a $CO_2$ reduction reaction. The concentrations of dissolved calcium (Ca) and sulfate ion (${SO_4}^{2-}$) in soil pore water were significantly increased as the application rate of BGF increased and showed negatively correlations with $CH_4$ flux. Decreased $CH_4$ flux with BGF application implied that ${SO_4}^{2-}$ ion led to decreases in electron availability for methanogen and precipitation reaction of Ca ion with inorganic carbon including carbonate and bicarbonate as a source of $CH_4$ formation under anoxic condition. BGF application also increased rice grain yield by 16% at $8Mg\;ha^{-1}$ of BGF addition. Therefore, our results suggest that BGF application can be a good soil management practice to reduce $CH_4$ emission from paddy soil and to increase rice yield.

  • The corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys in the $H_2SO_4$ solution was investigated based on potentiodynamic techniques. Electrochemical properties, such as corrosion potential($E_c$), passive potential($E_p$), corrosion current density($I_c$), corrosion rate(mpy), of Al-Mg-Si, Al-Cu-Si and Al-Si alloys were characterized at room temperature. Passive aluminum oxide film, which including $Al_2(SO_4)_3$ and $3Al_2O_34SO_38H_2O$, were uniformly formed on the surface via the reaction of Al with $SO{_3}^{2-}$ or $SO{_4}^{2-}$ ions in the $H_2SO_4$ solution and the dependence of the corrosion behavior on the alloying element was discussed. The selective leaching of alloy element increased with increasing Cu content in the aluminum alloys.

  • To develop an ionic equilibria model applicable to the sulfuric acid leaching solutions of zinc oxide ore, the method of the Pitzer equation and that of the Vasil'ev equation were compared. As the ionic strength of the solution increased to 9 m, the results of ionic equilibria by the Pitzer equation were more accurate than those by Vasil'ev. To simulate the sulfuric acid leaching solutions of zinc oxide ore, the mixed solutions with the various composition of $ZnSO_4-Fe_2(SO_4)_3-Na_2SO_4-H_2SO_4-NaOH-H_2O$ were prepared. The pH values calculated in this study agreed well with those measured at $25^{\circ}C$.
