The present study was conducted to elucidate the pattern in changes of trimethylamine oxide and related compounds in the muscle of Alaska pollack during drying, especially referred to formaladehyde and dimethylamine. Three kinds of dried samples of Alaska pollack, sun dried, hot-air dried, and salted-sun dried, were prepared and analyzed for their contents of trimethylamine oxide, trimethylamine, dimethylamine, and formaldehyde. The amount of trimethylamine oxide remained in the salted-sun dried sample was relatively higher than those in the other two samples. In the content of trimethylamine, the hot-air dried sample showed an exceedingly high value shelving forty-two times higher than the raw sample while the other two samples showed barely three to four times content based on the raw sample. The dimethylamine content in the hot-air fried sample was comparatively lower than those in the other two samples, the former marked about ten folds of the raw sample's and tile latter showed about fifteen folds, respectively. Refering to the content of formaldehyde, it decreased to eighty-three percent of initial content in the hot-air dried sample. On the contrary, it increased about two times initial content in the other two samples, respectively. As a tendency, the formaldehyde content appeared increased or decreased correlatively with the dimethylamine content, whereas the case was reverse for the trimethylamine content.

Several enzymes of kimchi ingredients were assayed to improve the product quality using these quality related enzyme information. Among various hydrolases, amylase and protease were selected with respect to lactic acid fermentation. Peroxidase and ascorbic acid oxidase were studied for off flavor production and ascorbic acid destruction. The amount of protein in kimchi ingredients, specific and total enzyme activity of sample were compared. Regarding total enzyme activity of sample, ${\alpha}-amylase$ activity of salted and fermented anchovy, dried red pepper and salted and fermented shrimp were higher than other ingredients. Activity of salted and fermented anchovy was 2,790.0 units/g sample. Salted and fermented anchovy, oyster and Chinese radish showed the highest ${\beta}-amylase$ activity (4.4, 2.1, 1.0 units/g sample, respectively). Salted and fermented anchovy showed the highest protease activity of 13.4 PU/g sample, followed by salted and fermented shrimp and dried red pepper. For peroxidase, Chinese radish, cucumber, green onion showed the highest activity of 7.2, 6.8 and 5.6 units/g sample, respectively. In case of ascorbic acid oxidase, salted and fermented anchovy showed the strongest enzyme activity (331.4 units/g sample), followed by dried red pepper and salted and fermented shrimp.

The purpose of this research is to show how to use the patternist's CAD system in order to make design patterns efficiantly. Using the PAD System Technologies company's PAD System Module, which is very officiant in designing patterns, the basic pattern or design pattern can be designed and applyed to the Sample Module, thus, then it could manufacture, retouch or choose a model, making it posible to go to the next level which is seam patterns for industrial use. By understanding the change of the design that is chosen through the design pattern making and Sample Module process', this study is presentated a plan on how to utilize the patternist's working adaption ability by the CAD system, and also considered the problems in using it. Ability of Design Confrontation of CAD System: 1) The result of an operation can be saved and retouched. On a saved list the patterns can be chosen and changed, thus, making it posible to complete a design very quickly. 2) When sewing every designed pattern in Sample Module, the model can be operated merely by selecting each sewing position, thus creating the same effect of a designer's muslin sample process in a much lesser time. Point at issue in the utilization CAD system: 1) When combining two darts into one place the amounts of darts that are already these have to be erasers, and then, the two darts points are moved that place, thus, containing them, which is very conplicated. 2) When making a gathering, because system can only be recognized in a opend line, the pattern should be separated in order to put a gathering inside a pattern. 3) In order to readjust the amounte of dart. The dart is erased first and then made new dart again. 4) When making tucks in a Sample Module, the form that gets narrow towards the pivot point can not be recognized so the sewing lines of the tucks is adjusted into parallel lines. 5) The Sample Module 3D operation can not attach the bodice to the shirts, instead they become fixed into each other. In the case of shoulder line tucks the amounts of pleats can not be expanded draperary naturally, thus, making it hard to showing the silhouette accurately. If these problems are solved, especially if the silhouette of a model can be created to have natural drapery in the 3D Module, models can be shown on the screen in possible to compare and examine even a change of a detail, by designing this 3D Module Production sample process will be more effective, thus, making the CAD system more useful in sewing design process.

Two of major research fields in this area are concerned in issues for CASE tools and component-based technologies. This paper discusses an example of applying component-based technology to a CASE tool. This paper proposes the research experience gained while we have developing OODesigner, an OO CASE tool, with compound document support functionality based on COM/OLE technology. OODesigner can be used not only to model UML diagrams, but also to make documentation cooperatively with various kinds of OLE servers and containers. Therefore we can conduct powerful and consistent documentation with the tool. In this paper, we present design issues for incrementally implementing the compound document support facilities as a container and a server and show a brief sample for demonstrating the usability of the OLE enabled CASE tool.

This paper proposes a color sample selection method that produces a uniform distribution in the display gamut plus a color reproduction method for using a uniform color sample In contrast to the conventional method, the proposed uniform color samples are selected m CIELAB, a device-independent color space, instead of RGB (red, green, and yellow) or CMY (cyan, magenta, and yellow) space, device-dependent color spaces To evaluate the performance of the proposed color samples, they were applied to color space conversion using both a regression model and neural network As a result, in the case of a color sample of the same size, the color space conversion method using the proposed samples showed a lower color difference for color conversions using either neural or regression.

Ginseng cultivated in different country or growing condition has generally different components such as saponin and protein, and it relates to efficacy and action. Protein content assumes by nitrogen content in ginseng radix. Nitrogen content could be determined by chemical analysis such as kjeldahl or extraction methods. However, these methods require long analysis time and result environmental pollution and sample damage. In this work we investigated possibility of non-destructive determination of nitrogen content in ginseng radix using near-infrared spectroscopy. Ginseng radix, root of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer, was studied. Total 120 samples were used in this study and it was consisted of 6 sample sets, 4, 5 and 6-year-old Korea ginseng and 7, 8 and 9-year-old China ginseng, respectively. Each sample set has 20 sample. Nigrogen content was measured by electronic analysis. NIR reflectance spectra were collected over the 1100 to 2500 nm spectral region with a InfraAlyzer 500C (Bran+Luebbe, Germany) equipped with a halogen lapmp and PbS detector and data were collected every 2 nm data point intervals. The calibration models were carried out by multiple linear regression (MLR) and partial least squares (PLS) analysis using IDAS and SESAME software. Result of electronic analysis, Korean ginseng were different mean value in nitrogen content of China ginseng. Ginseng tend to generally decrease the nitrogen content according as cultivation year is over 6 years. The MLR calibration model with 8 wavelengths using IDAS software accurately predicted nitrogen contents with correlation coefficient (R) and standard error of prediction of 0.985 and 0.855%, respectively. In case of SESAME software, the MLR calibration with 9 wavelength was selected the best calibration, R and SEP were 0.972 and 0.596%, respectively. The PLSR calibration model result in 0.969 of R and 0.630 of RMSEP. This study shows the NIR spectroscopy could be applied to determine the nitrogen content in ginseng radix with high accuracy.
Several empty-space leaping methods have been proposed for CPU-based volume ray casting. When sample points are located in semi-transparent cells, however, previous leaping methods perform unnecessary resamplings even if the scalar values on those points are confined within transparent range. A semi-transparent cells leaping method for volume ray casting using the Marching Cubes algorithm is proposed to solve this problem in our previous work. When a ray reaches a semi-transparent cell, our method performs in-out test between current sample point and the bounding box enclosing the triangles generated by the Marching Cubes. If the sample point lies on outside of the bounding box, we estimate the point is regarded as transparent. In this case, the ray advances to the next sample point without performing a resampling operation. We can frequently refer the tables for neighboring voxels, however, when we exploit conventional data structures of the Marching Cubes. We propose modified Marching Cubes tables for solving this problem.
The Purpose of this study is to analyze wether the composition of training sample have a relation with the Predictive ability and the learning results of ANNs(Artificial Neural Networks) fur predicting one cycle ahead of the queue length(veh.) in a signalized intersection. In this study, ANNs\` training sample is classified into the assumption of two cases. The first is to utilize time-series(Per cycle) data of queue length which would be detected by one detector (loop or video) The second is to use time-space correlated data(such as: a upstream feed-in flow, a link travel time, a approach maximum stationary queue length, a departure volume) which would be detected by a integrative vehicle detection systems (loop detector, video detector, RFIDs) which would be installed between the upstream node(intersection) and downstream node. The major findings from this paper is In Daechi Intersection(GangNamGu, Seoul), in the case of ANNs\` training sample constructed by time-space correlated data between the upstream node(intersection) and downstream node, the pattern recognition ability of an interrupted traffic flow is better.
Waste office paper, photocopied or laser printed, has recently increased along with office automatization. In waste office paper, toner ink is used as the printing medium in place of conventional oil ink. Since toner ink cannot be saponificated by alkali and be decolored by bleaching, different from the case of oil ink, toner remains on regenerated paper as black specks. Although cascade recycling of waste office paper is compelled at present, the demand for low-grade paper is limited. From such circumstances, a new separation process for waste office paper is demanded to achieve parallel recycling. At the first stage of separation studies, the sharpness of separation is evaluated using small separators to obtain fundamental data. In a lab-scale separator, the sample amount of one feed is generally a few grams. However, the sample amount used for brightness, ERIC, and image analysis that are generally used to evaluate the efficiency of deinking are not small for lab-scale tests of these analyses. This paper describes an investigation of a sheet preparation method by a small amount of sample under 0.5g and compares the precision of toner content determination of spectroscopic analysis and image analysis from the viewpoint of separation evaluation. The easiness and convenience of the operation using only general-purpose equipments has also been set as a principle purpose. From the viewpoint of an analysis that yields high precision with a small amount of sample in short time, the method calculating the absorption coefficient from diffuse reflectance in the visible region is the most rational method in this study.
