This article addresses the question of how the operational architecture for a railway safety information system should be developed. A successful railway safety information system can be developed by fully reflecting the business process and needs at the enterprise level. To date, there has been minimal research effort towards the development of the operational architecture for a railway safety information system. To this end, a variety of enterprise architectures have been studied so far. In this paper, as an important guideline, DoDAF (Architecture Framework) is selected to be used in developing a railway safety information system. In particular, we propose a method to implement the operational architecture based on DoDAF.

Consumer anxiety about food safety is increasing, and the ability to make an accurate assessment is inadequate due to the lack of food safety information. This research focuses on relations among main variables, such as food hazard awareness, food apprehension, food safety information awareness, and food safety management system evaluation. In addition, to the moderating effects of food safety information awareness between food hazards awareness, food apprehension, and food safety management system evaluation. First, food hazards awareness and apprehension was slightly higher than the average level, also there was a significant difference in food hazard apprehension according to food hazard awareness. However, the level of food safety information was not high, meaning consumers were not as well informed as expected. We divided food safety management system evaluation into awareness and practice, subsequently, the results of both were at a low level. Food safety information awareness' moderating effect was also confirmed. Consumer organizations and the government need to provide specific and correct information to Korean consumers, that also implement a wide range of consumer education related policies.

We developed a HPMA Information System to establish the voluntary safety management for the Paint Industry. HPMA System means that manager, supervisor and worker on the process-line find out the hazardous and/or unsafe potentials, make improvement of the field safety by the cooperation with top manager, safety staff and eventually put in the practice. HPMA Information System consists of functions to suggest and evaluate the safety concerns hierarchically from top manager to workers on internet or intranet. We establish the safety management and sharing of the safety information and are able to find the unsafe potentials by the HPMA Information System. Also We are able to mine new safety information and establish accident prevention model by the Safety DATABASE.

Inventory information system is providing the benefits of smoother demand, lower inventories(work in process, safety stock) and reduced costs. This study focused on improvement of safety level inventory efficiency by inventory information system. The results indicated that inventory information system allowed the company to serve its customers more surely and efficiently.

In this study, we developed a system for information sharing and cooperation support system among the accident response organizations to enable prompt and efficient response in responding to chemical accidents. In other words, by applying mobile messenger function, it is proposed to improve the chemical accident response system that provides information necessary for accident response promptly and accurately, and facilitates bi-directional communication between accident response organizations and field responders, thereby enabling efficient and organic response. As a result of comparing the information provision time before and after the chemical accident of chemical accident response information sharing system, the ratio of processing of substance information and chemical air diffusion information within 30 minutes was improved by 8% and 32%, respectively. As a result of this study, applying the chemical accident response information sharing system to the chemical accident response is expected to contribute to the improvement of the system and the ability to cope with the accident more effectively.

This study presents the design of integrated safety, quality, and environmental information system based on the internet environment. Quality management system, environmental management system, and safety management system are adapted in many manufacturing and service organization respectively but those system does not work effectively. Especially safety management system and environmental management system are very similar with format and contents. Therefore, Those system must be integrated to increase effiency.

In this study, a framework for web-based information system in VDN environment for safety and health monitoring in subway stations is suggested. Since physical variables that describing safety and health need to be closely monitored in multiple locations in subway stations, concept of distributed monitoring network using wireless media needs to be implemented. Connecting remote wireless sensor network and device (LonWorks) networks to the IP network based on the concept of VDN can provide a powerful, integrated and distributed monitoring performance, making a web-based information system possible.

In this study, the effect of a telecommunication company's safety management system on workers' safety awareness and safety behavior was empirically verified. The main findings are as follows: First, among the factors of the telecommunication company's safety management system, the management supervisor's capability and level of industrial accident investigations were found to have a significant positive effect on workers' safety awareness. Second, workers' safety awareness was observed to exert a significant positive effect on their safety behavior. Third, among the factors of the telecommunication company's safety management system, the management supervisor's capability and industrial accident investigations were found to have a significant positive effect on the safety behavior of workers. Fourth, although the telecommunications safety management system factors, such as management supervisors' capability and industrial accident investigations, were found to have a positive effect on workers' safety awareness, they had no mediated effect on workers' safety behavior through safety awareness.

In this study, a GIS-based park safety assessment index was developed to enable objective park vulnerability assessment through data-based GIS analysis, a safety assessment was conducted by selecting a target site where various parks are operated and applying the park safety assessment index. In addition, a facility management system was developed for efficient management of the park safety assessment to update the park safety and provide a foothold for indirect PPGIS. In the case of the assessment index of the safety rating of the park, it was possible to conclude that the accurate quantitative performance was given to the calculation of the safety grade of the park based on the fact that the facilities are different depending on the environment and the size of the park. In addition, the marking the safety grade of parks, as well as the function to show the safety facilities of parks, a common living area for citizens, the management system is expected to have an impact on promoting the use of parks. In the future, in functions such as reporting of facility failures and verifying civil information are implemented by applying civic group participation programs and crowd-sourcing technologies, it is believed that all facilities as well as parks managed by the local government can be managed more efficiently.

We investigated dissatisfaction of elements of local exhaust system, needs for local exhaust system, and information networks for local exhaust system from June 1998 to September 1999 using the questionnaire structured. It contained questions concerning general characteristics of factory and local exhaust system, troubles and dissatisfaction of elements of local exhaust system, and information networks for local exhaust system. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis. Information networks for local exhaust system were analyzed by multidimensional scaling using path distance of network analysis and by graph analysis using Krackplot. Among complaints of local exhaust system, that of duct has show the highest percentage of complaint. In the information network for local exhaust system, Seoul is positioned in the center of network with mediating role.
