  • This study is quantitatively assessing of safety about dispenser of hydrogen station because it is hydrogen energy to efficient safety use. The large leakage of hydrogen gas is the most important accident among others occurrence possibility in hydrogen station. It had written FT by top event and calculated unavailability, m-cutsets, leakage frequency, etc with FTA after each base event collect reliability data by reliability data handbook, THERP-HRA and estimation of the engineering.

  • In this paper, I propose an application layer cooperative congestion control scheme for safety message broadcast in vehicular networks, called CMS, that adaptively controls a vehicle's safety message rate and transmit timing based on the channel congestion state. Motivated by the fact that all vehicles should transmit and receive an application layer safety message in a periodic manner, I directly exploit the message itself as a means of estimating the channel congestion state. In particular, vehicles can determine wider network conditions by appending their local channel estimation result onto safety message transmissions and sharing them with each other. In result CMS realizes cooperative congestion control without any modification of the existing MAC protocol. I present extensive NS-3 simulation results which show that CMS outperforms conventional congestion control schemes in terms of the packet collision rate and throughput, especially in a high-density traffic environment.

  • Objectives: The aim of this study is to analyze main problems on occupational safety and hygiene in construction sites and to suggest some improvement methods. In order to decrease industrial accidents, I emphasize the approach paradigm shifts according to characteristics of construction workers. Methods: Pointing out the irrationality of current institutions by comparing bad outcomes of occupational safety and hygiene in construction industry and characteristics of construction workers. Results: In order to decrease industrial accidents, we need some approach paradigm shifts; the supply method of industrial safety and health fundamentals on the construction industry level, the accident rate calculation by using the actual construction workforce instead of an estimation, institutionalizing the prevention efforts themselves for industrial accidents, securing enough production costs for the precondition of occupational safety and hygiene in construction sites. Conclusions: I ascertain the need of the approach paradigm shifts for decreasing industrial accidents in the construction industry.

  • For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test into more than 80km/h for estimating the curving performance and running safety of Gwangju EMU. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Gwangju EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

  • In this paper, we select important fission products for the estimation of the source term during a severe accident of a PWR. The selection is based on the numerical results obtained from depletion calculations for the typical PWR fuel via the in-house code named DEGETION (Depletion, Generation, and Transmutation of Isotopes on Nuclear Application), release fractions of the fission products derived from NUREG-1465, and effective dose conversion coefficients from ICRP 119. Then, for the selected fission products, we obtain the adjoint solutions of the Bateman equations for radioactive decay in order to determine the importance of precursors producing the aforementioned fission products via radioactive decay, which would provide insights into the assumption used in MACCS 2 for a level 3 PSA analysis in which up to six precursors are considered in the calculations of radioactive decays for the fission product after release from the reactor.

  • Collision avoidance system is important to improve the robustness and functional safety of autonomous vehicles. This paper proposes an object-level distance estimation method to develop a collision avoidance system, and it is applied to golfcarts utilized in country club environments. To improve the detection accuracy, we continually trained an object detection model based on pseudo labels generated by a pre-trained detector. Moreover, we propose object-aware depth estimation (OADE) method which trains a depth model focusing on object regions. In the OADE algorithm, we generated dense depth information for object regions by utilizing detection results and sparse LiDAR points, and it is referred to as object-aware LiDAR projection (OALP). By using the OALP maps, a depth estimation model was trained by backpropagating more gradients of the loss on object regions. Experiments were conducted on our custom dataset, which was collected for the travel distance of 22 km on 54 holes in three country clubs under various weather conditions. The precision and recall rate were respectively improved from 70.5% and 49.1% to 95.3% and 92.1% after the continual learning with pseudo labels. Moreover, the OADE algorithm reduces the absolute relative error from 4.76% to 4.27% for estimating distances to obstacles.
