A deep-sea pressure vessel needs to protect the internal electrical equipment from the high external pressure. Thus, the pressure vessel should be designed to be watertight and structurally safe. In this study, a cylindrical-type pressure vessel comprising a hollow cylinder and cover plates at both ends is investigated. For communication between the internal electronic equipment and the external device, holes are bored on the cover plate to install underwater connectors. Considering the type of internal equipment and underwater connector specifications, multiple holes may be required. These holes can affect the structural safety of the pressure vessel cover plate. In this study, the optimum design of the hole arrangement in consideration of the structural safety of the cover plate was performed.

Diode rectifiers are very popular in industry. However, they include large low-order harmonics in the input current and do not satisfy harmonic current content restrictions. To reduce the harmonics to the power system, several methods have been introduced. It is heavy and expensive solution to use passive filters as the solution for high power application. Another solution for the harmonic filter is utilization of active filter, but it is too expensive solution. Diode rectifiers with configurations using switching device have been introduced, but they are very complicated. The combined 12-pulse diode rectifier with the square auxiliary voltage supply has been introduced. It has the advantages that auxiliary circuit is simple and inexpensive compared to other strategies. The advanced auxiliary voltage supply in this thesis is presented as a new solution. When the square auxiliary voltage supply applied, the improvement of THD is 6~60[%] in whole load range. But when the advanced auxiliary voltage supply applied, it shows stable and excellent reduction effect of THD as 57~71[%]. Especially, for the case with 10[%] load factor, reduction effect of THD has little effect as 6[%] in the case of inserting a square auxiliary voltage supply. But when the proposed new solution applied, reduction effect has excellent effect as 71[%]. Theoretical analysis of the combined 12-pulse diode rectifier with the advanced auxiliary voltage supply is presented and control methods of the auxiliary supply is proposed. The reduction in the input current harmonics is verified by simulation using software PSIM.
Recently, during the multi-level fusion with pedicle screws, interspinous spacer are sometimes substituted for the most superior level of the fusion in an attempt to reduce the number of fusion level and likelihood of degeneration process at the adjacent level. In this study, a finite element (FE) study was performed to assess biomechanical efficacies of the interspinous spacer combined with posterior lumbar fusion with a previously-validated 3-dimensional FE model of the intact lumbar spine (L1-S1). The post-operative models were made by modifying the intact model to simulate the implantation of interspinous spacer and pedicle screws at the L3-4 and L4-5. Four different configurations of the post-op model were considered: (1) a normal spinal model; (2) Type 1, one-level fusion using posterior pedicle screws at the L4-5; (3) Type 2, two-level (L3-5) fusion; (4) Type 3, Type 1 plus Coflex$^{TM}$ at the L3-4. hybrid protocol (intact: 10 Nm) with a compressive follower load of 400N were used to flex, extend, axially rotate and laterally bend the FE model. As compared to the intact model, Type 2 showed the greatest increase in Range of motion (ROM) at the adjacent level (L2-3), followed Type 3, and Type 1 depending on the loading type. At L3-4, ROM of Type 2 was reduced by 34~56% regardless of loading mode, as compared to decrease of 55% in Type 3 only in extension. In case of normal bone strength model (Type 3_Normal), PVMS at the process and the pedicle remained less than 20% of their yield strengths regardless of loading, except in extension (about 35%). However, for the osteoporotic model (Type 3_Osteoporotic), it reached up to 56% in extension indicating increased susceptibility to fracture. This study suggested that substitution of the superior level fusion with the interspinous spacer in multi-level fusion may be able to offer similar biomechanical outcome and stability while reducing likelihood of adjacent level degeneration.

Objective: Recently, inline skates are populary increasing and have become major recreational activities. This study was performed to determine the effective prevention means on various extremity injury by investigating injury severity occording to acute injury and overuse injury. Results: Acute inline skating injury was experienced mostly among the age between 6$\~$14 years old children after school around nearby their home without using no appropriate safety device gear. The wrist injury was mostly happened. We think that overuse injury is related to boot itself, boot fitting and improper skating techniques. Conclusion: So afterall, appropriate safety equipment wearing in inline skating at the safe place after learning about the skating skills can reduce the acute inline skating extremity injuries. Choosing a pair of good fitting boots, performing the exact pushing techniques and take good rests in the middle of skating frequently can reduce the overuse injury.

The IMO has recommended on VHF digital communications operation for sailing ships from 2017. And ships more than 5 tons is obliged to digital communications by fishing Vessels Act and Vessel Safety Act in domestic. The owner of all vessel is equipped to the automatic position reporting device in accordance with the Notice of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to regulations, It shall be ensure to navigations safety and in order to respond quickly in the event of maritime accidents on all vessels. The info-communications station of fishery is operating the automatic position reporting system using the VHF DSC in east sea from 2012, Continuously, which is underway the install plan in south sea and yellow sea. But this plan is very difficult, because of propagation environment is poor on account of complicated coastline and many islands. This paper has analyzed the propagation coverage for position setting of coast station in south sea and the traffic zone set up by compare with RSSI and methode of navigation tracking by VMS.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare health related behaviors among adolescents in the rural area with those in the urban area in Korea. Methods: The data source was the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey in 2005. With two stage cluster sampling, a total of 58,224 sample was selected from 799 middle and high schools nationwide. The area was classified into county area, small to medium city, and large city, and then the county area was considered as a rural area. Data was analyzed with STATA 9.0 using the method of complex survey data analysis considering sampling weight, strata, and primary sampling unit. Results: The prevalence of health related behaviors among adolescents in the rural area was higher than the city area as following health behaviors: smoking behaviors of smoking experience, smoking experience before entrance to middle school; drinking behaviors of frequent drinking, high risk behaviors with drinking; dietary behaviors of omitting of lunch or dinner, less intake of fruits or milk, more intake of cooky; oral hygiene of less tooth brushing, less preventive oral care, more oral symptoms and less dentist visit; safety behaviors of less wearing of safety belt or protective device; general hygiene of less hand washing before meal or after visiting rest room. Conclusions: The health behaviors among adolescents in the rural area were generally poorer than the city area. The results showed national health program for adolescents should be conducted primarily for those in rural areas. Further study is needed to explore the factors related with the discrepancy of health behaviors between the rural and urban area.

When persistent oil, such as crude oil or Bunker C oil, is spilled at sea, viscosity increases through the weathering process. Equipment that can collect this oil when mixed with floating marine debris is very limited. In this study, devices that can be attached to the outside of existing oil skimmers have been applied to the inside of the main body, to develop an unmanned conveyor belt type floating marine debris and high viscosity oil recovery skimmer, which is composed of a conveyor belt, a sweeper with a forced inflow device, and a collection tank equipped with a buoyant body. The resulting skimmer was operated at a speed of 1.2 knots at a distance of 30 m in a sea area test. It was stable when moving laterally in any direction. An oil recovery performance test was conducted using a portable storage tank, and oil was recovered from a minimum of $7.8k{\ell}/h$ to a maximum of $23.3k{\ell}/h$. Moreover, recovery of $7.7k{\ell}/h$ was obtained in a wave water tank test with floating marine debris such as PET bottles and oil mixed. If the equipment developed in this study was used in the field for oil pollution accidents, it could be expected to contribute to improved response capability. We believe our equipment could be used in further studies to improvement the performance of existing portable oil skimmers.
Mobile IPv6 spends considerable bandwidth considering that its signal volume is proportional to the mobile and also it should be strengthened to support the binding signal volume, the traffic, and effective mobility. So, the study in NEMO(Network Mobility), an extended version of Mobile IPv6, has been conducted. NEMO provides its mobility by putting several mobiles and more than one portable router into one unit called as mobile network. Because nodes access Internet via the portable router at this time, it receives transparency without any additional work and that much reduces binding signal while solving binding storm. By supporting mobility, NEMO is able to have various mobile structures which realize several networks hierarchically and it is necessary to improve its safety and security by authenticating among the upper networks or the lower ones while moving. Also, it is extremely required to begin a study in the device to improve efficiency accompanied with mobility, which is executed by the fast hand-off as well as the safe authentication. For those reasons, this paper not only classifies various NEMO mobile scenarios into 7 ways, but also provides AAA authentication of each scenario, the authentication through the safety authentication and fast handoff authentication using F+HMIPv6 and the way to reduce both signaling volume and packet delays efficiently during the handoff.

Smart phone zombie or Smombie means pedestrians who walk without attention to their surroundings because they are focused upon their smart phone. Because the traffic accidents and injuries caused by Smombie have been increased rapidly in recent years, the social attention and policies are needed to prevent it. This study was conducted to analyze Smombie's current status and some solutions used before and to propose new improved method through the latest ICT trend. In this study, we did the field survey to check Smombies at several places in Seoul through people counting, and found that a lot of pedestrians still use the smart phone while walking. And we analyzed many case studies about some solutions to prevent Smombies previously. The case studies include legal regulations, government policies, smart phone app services and facilities that are used before. We studied them through internet searches and reference studies and we also checked the current operating situation as visiting several places that the solutions actually has been operated. Therefore, we found there are some limitations in previous solutions in terms of effectiveness and management. To consider new solution that can be expected to overcome the limitations, we analyzed the latest ICT trends focused on features to utilize the Smombie prevention, especially video recognition and digital signage. In these days, video recognition has been developed rapidly with assistance of AI technology and it can recognize the specific pedestrian's characteristics such as holding smart phone as well as hair style, clothes, backpack and etc. On the other hands, the digital signage is the convergence device that includes big display, network connection and various IoT sensors. It can be used as public media in many places for public services as well as advertising. Through these analysis results, we show the requirements and the user scenario for the improved method to prevent Smombie. Finally, we propose to develop R&D technology to recognize Smombie exactly as pedestrian attributes and to spread creative contents to increase pedestrian's interest and engagement for Smombie prevention through digital signage.

FMECA(Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis) techniques to make quantitative evaluation of failure effects severity and criticality have been applied to systematic failure analysis for reliability improvement of train which should provide regular service and secure high level of safety as a mass transportation system. These FMECA techniques do not fully reflect the inherent train operation and maintenance circumstances because they are based on the FMECA standards devised for other industries such as automobile industry and FMECA standard dedicated to train industry has not been established yet. This paper analyzes FMECA standards for various industries, and suggests a FMECA technique dedicated to train industry which makes failure effect analysis and criticality analysis step by step and makes criticality analysis placing emphasis on the severity of the failure effect. The proposed technique is applied to FMECA of high-speed current breaker which is a core safety device of train using field failure data for 15 years of train maintenance. The FMECA results show that breakage of arc chute has the highest risk with 3rd severity class and 5th criticality class among all the components of high-speed circuit breaker. Damage and poor contact of electronic valve, and cylinder breakage with 3rd severity class and 4th criticality class are followed by. These results can be applied to improvement of design and maintenance process for high-speed circuit breaker of train.
