Purpose: Safety of humans is an important factor that affects health overall, and injuries are one of the major public-health problems in the world. The purposes of this study were to describe the International safe Community movement which contributes to the injury prevention and safety promotion all over the world, and to identify out the application and developmental strategies for Korea. Methods: A review was done of previous research, reviews, and reports on the history, concepts, basic principles, and recommendations for actions of the Safe Community. Results: For this study, the application strategies of the International Safe Community movement in Korea were examined to deduce the strengths of the safe Community program. Community-based injury prevention work according to the International Safe Community model is a successful and cost-effective way of reducing injuries in the community. Conclusion: Through the International Safe Community program, communities are able to realize a healthy community and achieve improved quality of lives for the people, which is the ultimate objective of the Safe Community model. In addition, it will contribute to the economic vitalization and gain through energy and enhancement of productivity of people.

In this study, the summary and characteristics of WHO International Safe Community are examined and the activities for the establishment of safe city were analyzed targeting Samcheok City in Gangwon-do which prepares for the certification of the International Safe Community. And, based on the result, this study intends to present the direction of establishment and development of international safe city to improve the regional safety. First, for the establishment of safe city, measures and programs for vulnerable classes and accidential forms in the area must be developed and operated continuously. Second, continuous and systematic activities must be done by establishing combined network between regional government association and relative organ and resident association in the area. Third, public policies for establishing safe city so as to improve regional safety, such as enactment of relative si/do ordinance, etc, must be prepared so as to operate it systematically. Finally, through the various activities by establishing international network, education, publicity activities and various informations must be acquired.

Increasing the need of national safety management system in order to an epoch-making improvement to scientific disaster management which appears new types of disasters through the exchange of traditional disaster environment and responds actively to the rapid exchange of social environment based on u-IT. Requiring the development of systematical information sharing networking system and sharing realtime data amongst government, local authorities and related organisations under both safety management in normal times and circumstance management in disaster times, and need for the establishment of national safety strategy, which has been strengthened function such as prevention and preparation. This research provides a basic scheme and strategic tasks in order to constitute preventing scientific national disaster prevention structure at anytime and anywhere from disaster which is based on ubiquitous technology and realise the intelligent national disaster prevention system of u-safe Korea.

While efforts have been made to address fall-related injuries in older adults, the problem is unsolved to date. The purpose of this review is to provide a guideline for fall and injury prevention programs in older adults, based on evidence generated over the past 30 years. Research articles published between 1990 and 2020 have been searched on PubMed, using keywords, including but not limited to, falls, hip fracture, injuries, intervention, older adults, prevention, hip protector, vitamin D, safe landing strategy, and exercise. Total of 98 articles have been found and categorized into five intervention areas: exercise program, hip protector, safe landing strategy, vitamin D intake, and compliant flooring. Furthermore, the articles have been rated based on their study design: class 1, randomized controlled trials; class 2, non-randomized controlled trials; class 3, experimental studies; class 4, all other studies. Exercise programs have shown to decrease the risk of fall, and associated injuries. Hip protectors, safe landing strategy, and vitamin D intake were effective in reducing a risk and incidence of hip fracture during a fall. Furthermore, compliant flooring has also decreased hip fracture risk without affecting balance. An integrated approach combining exercise program, wearing a hip protector, teaching safe landing strategies, scheduled vitamin D intake, and compliant flooring installation, is suggested to address fall-related injuries in older adults.

In this study, it was researched a kind of the press machines which had been retained in the domestic press working companies. And then it was analyzed the present conditions with the working types, companies size, the aging types and the continuous working periods. Specially, the purpose of this paper is decreased the industrial accidents of the domestic press working companies by the proposing the safe prevention which are obtained by the analysing the accidential reasons.

Purpose: The purposes of this study were to provide information about safe actions during the practice of dental technology, promote belief in safe actions among the students of dental technology, and reinforce their knowledge about how to act safety. Methods: Open questions were asked to 120 sophomores majoring dental technology to understand the target group's belief about safe actions. Following the instructions by Ajzen & Fishbein, the collected data were grouped according to similar beliefs. Those beliefs of the highest frequency were given a priority and got to represent the belief level of the target group. Even with belief changes, however, they would not be able to practice safe actions if they had no knowledge about how to do safe actions. For desirable behavioral changes among the students, the students were then asked to discuss the current state of safety accidents and issues focusing on the materials and processes used in the practice and give presentations regarding the subjects to identify risk factors. Then the identified risk factors were used to devise the program contents so that the students could practice safe actions through accurate behavioral approaches and belief changes by educating them about how to act safely by the practice processes and the involved materials and devices. Results: Not only do the students of Dept. of Dental Technicians have difficulties with the complex practice processes while practicing to make dental prosthesis, but they are exposed to the risk of accidents as they're poor at dealing with the materials and devices. Although there is a definite need for accident prevention education programs before practice, the reality is that the school doesn't the schoosuch education. Based on the judgment that an education program designed to reinforce belief for behavioral changes would generate effgrams results, an education program was developed by applying the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB). Along with their beliefs, the current state of accidents n. Basepractice, demand for safety education, and practice level of safe actions were used to device the contents of accident prevention education and to develop an accident prevention education program for dental technology. Conclusion: The study presents an accident prevention education program developed to reinforce dental technology students' beliefs and knowledge and to help them do safe actions during practice.

The purpose of this study is to establish a crime prevention system through the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). The research method went through the double diamond process and discovered the user's needs through the persona analysis. The most representative features are the functions that informs users of the safe and optimal route, checks the presence of streetlights or cctvs in real time to update them, and allows people with similar routs to return home together. It is a function to help safe return home with the help of an autonomous method, and a self-defense function to protect themselves. Therefore, the application presented in this study was intended to be of great help when actually returning home by adding these new functions. In particular, we help users to return home most safely by recommending the best safe route. Through the persona analysis, research method which we had chosen, the needs of users were discovered and implemented in a design that reflected those needs and requirements.

International Safe School(ISS) model has focused as a public health approach to develop safety intervention to address injury problems in school setting. It needs school members involvement in partnership with community resources to address the needs for school based injury prevention and safety promotion. The characteristics and principles of ISS model discussed in this paper emphasizes participation, capacity and partnership building, evidence based process, and so on. A 7 criteria is introduced as ISS implementation strategy. Multilevel and multi-facet approaches are valuable on ISS as well as process evaluation. For the application of ISS model in Korea, finding evidence, building public health partnership between school and other public or private resources in community are necessary conditions for succesful ISS for health promotion in school setting.

Many users feel a great pain owing to losing edited files. It is very serious loss in time and money. This problem occurs because email attachments are edited in 'Inbox' and the compute immediately shuts down with 'Save'. This is caused by the illusion that the 'save' in a temporary folder is saved to a secure hard disk. Our thesis proposes a loss-prevention system WatchDog for safe storage and folder management of the e-mail attachments. The proposed system operates a warning window pop-up when we 'Open(O)' and 'Save' the attachment. In addition, convenient folder management plans for safe copying and movement are shown through example programs.
