  • The object of this study is to show the international safety school operating characteristics certified by Community Safety Promotion Cooperation Center affiliated to the WHO to strengthen safety training course and create safe training environment in accordance with the importance of recently the safety education for students and safe environment in the school education course. It draw the kind of education program to prevent accidents in the elementary and middle school students because of analyzing student safety education program. It also suggest operation characteristics which were divided into physical environment and crime prevention environment.

  • Ignition Safe-Arm-Unit using micro-electromechanical systems(MEMS) for propulsion system was designed and manufactured. MEMS was designed according to the design schemes for conventional mechanical elements. By comparing the design results and the test data of the prototype, small discrepancy was found, which is due to the nonlinear characteristic of the structure and the machining accuracy. The applicability of MEMS for Safe-Arm-Unit was proved by testing MEMS which is assembled into SAU.

  • This study is a relatively small scale compared to the massive construction company, construction company's safety management level of the low. A small architectural scene safety management is a necessity for basic research as a whole and of 67.20% died in the disaster, which killed the disaster scene in a small building. Small construction site for a reflections of the prevailing security situation, the existing literature and statistical data to determine what the issue, for the purpose of the proposal and come up with improvement measures.

The Assessment of Safe Navigation Regarding Hydrodynamic forces between Ships in Restricted Waterways

  • This paper is primarily focused on the safe navigation between overtaking and overtaken vessels in restricted waterways under the external forces, such as wind and current. The maneuvering simulation between two ships was conducted to find an appropriate safe speed and distance, which is required to avoid collision. From the viewpoint of marine safety, a greater transverse distance between two ships is more needed for the smaller vessel. Regardless of external forces, the smaller vessel will get a greater effect of hydrodynamic forces than the bigger one. In the case of close navigation between ships under the forces of wind and current, the vessel moving at a lower speed is potentially hazardous because the rudder force of the lower speed vessel is not sufficient for steady-state course-keeping, compared to that of the higher speed vessel.

  • It is necessary to implement the management plan for the production of safe and high quality drinking water from lake Paldang. To set up the plan, the water quality items such as BOD, T-P, SS and coliform were monitored for ten years, 1997~2006, and the influence of raw water quality on the drinking water treatment process and the treated water quality was also evaluated from 2004 to 2006. In conclusion, water quality items such as turbidity(SS), T-P(eutrophication), pathogens(fecal coliforms, enterovirus, reovirus, giardia, cryptosporidium), DOC(precursor of disinfection by-products), and micro-pollutants(phthalates, VOCs, heavy metals) are should be managed to get safe and high quality drinking water from lake Paldang.

  • This paper concerns with experimental verification of the theory on the safe VHP positions presented in the first part of this study. In the experiment, tillage operation was conducted using a plow mounted to the threepoint hitch and the forces acting on the hitch points were measured. Using the data from the test tractor and plow, computer simualtion was also conducted and its results were compared with those obtained from the field experiment. The comparison showed a reasonable agreement between the two results, by which the theoretical method for the determination of safe VHP positions for steering control can be verified. Some guidelines for expanding the safe VHP region were finally proposed.

  • KOMPSAT-2 is the second Korean earth observation satellite after KOMPSAT-l: the 1 meter GSD cartographic capability and planning to launch at the end of 2005 by ROKOT launch vehicle. The dedicated AOCS operational modes are designed for KOMPSAT-2 based on KOMPSAT-l experience All of AOCS operational modes requires gyro information. To compensate this drawback, Power Safe Mode is designed and implemented. Successfully AOCS on-board software is developed and extensively verified through a nonlinear simulation process. The simulation results of Power Safe Mode and Science Fine Submode are provided to demonstrate its functionality as well as its performance.

  • Hypercube has a capability of fault-tolerance and regularity, which is easy to develop an algorithm. Many algorithms have been developed as an efficient fault-tolerance routing algorithm using hypercube. Among these algorithms, a method which use safe and unsafe concept was developed by Masuyama. Masuyama suggested an enhanced algorithm that take advantage of unsafe-safe concept. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that uses the unsafe, safe concept and modify Masuyama's algorithm. Using simulator we compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with existing algorithms.

  • 이 논문은 손가방에 탑재 가능한 IoT기반 락킹 시스템으로 SafeBag 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 일반적으로 사람들이 자신의 손가방을 잃어버린 경우, 손가방 내부에 있는 가치 있는 물건을 보호하고 특히, 제3자에게 이들 물건을 탈취되는 것을 방지하기 자동으로 손가방이 잠기기를 바란다. 이러한 요구를 이루기 위한 IoT기반 락킹 시스템은 손가방 내부에 작은 크기의 솔레노이드 잠금 장치를 통한 자동 락킹-언락킹 기능과 스마트폰과 연동된 마이크로 컨트롤러를 이용한 제어 기능 등을 가지고 있어야 한다. 이 논문을 통해 설계 구현되는 SafeBag 시스템은 이러한 기능을 탑재함으로써 손가방을 잃어버린 경우 손가방을 자동 락킹함으로써 가방 내부의 물건을 안전하게 보호해 주는 이점을 제공한다.

  • This paper is mainly concerned with the assessment of safe navigation between ships moving each other in restricted waterways. The manoeuvring simulation was conducted parametrically to propose an appropriate sage speed and distance, which is required to avoid sea accident under the different conditions, such as ship-velocity ratios, ship-length ratios, separation and stagger between ships. The manoeuvring characteristics based on this investigation will be very useful for keeping the safety of navigation from the practical point of ships design and traffic control in confined water.
