This study is about the safe arm posture in case of emergency escape using the vertical dive rescue sack at the fire site. The experimental results are as follows. First, the arms extended upward contact with the endothelium and narrowing part of the rescue sack minimized the scratches did not occur. Second, the bent position with both arms open was subject to light abrasions of on the elbows due to friction between the elbows and the scapula and the endothelium. Third, in the posture where both arms were gathered in the chest, the body passed through the narrowing part and friction between the bag's narrowing part, All subjects had light abrasions on their elbows. Fourth, because the arms are lowered, the legs are extended to the width of the shoulders when descending, so that the back of the hand has friction with the narrowing part of the bag and the endothelial skin. Finally, posture with both arms below the front increased the volume of the front of the body, resulting in a slight back injury. As a future research task, it is necessary to study the proper posture of legs and the posture of landing on the ground.

The study which was conducted to determine the effects of the polyethylene film on the culture of Pleurotus ostreatus is summarized in the following: 1) The fresh weight of Pleurotus ostreatus cultured by the box culture method mulching with black polyethylene film was 2,237g/box and, 2,028g/box by white polyethylene film mulching, and 1,695g/box at the conventional culture which was by 24.2% and 16.4% higher than that of the conventional culture.2) The fresh weight of P. ostreatus cultured by the shelf culture method mulching with the black polyethylene film was 17.4kg/m$^2$ at the white polyethylene film culture, 14.6kg/m$^2$ at the conventional culture which was by 16.2%, 7.5% higher than that of the conventional culture. 3) The best shape appearance in terms of the diameter in P. ostreatus was 5~30mm and the intervals were 10cm respectively. 4) The black polyethylene film mulching in P. ostreatus observed in good protection against Pseudomonas spp., Trichoderma, or mushroom flies. 5) The black polyethylene film mulching method for the culture of P. ostreatus was much better than that of the shelf-culture, box-culture or the sack culture in terms of total yield and quality. 6) The length of harvesting implement of P. ostreatus was suitable for 45~120cm in order to use on the harvest of the mulching.

Cellulose production by Acetobacter pasteurianus was investigated in static culture using four bioreactors with silicone rubber membrane submerged in the medium. The shape of the membrane was flat sheet, flat sack, tube and cylindrical balloon. Production rate of cellulose as well as its yield on consumed glucose by the bacteria grown on the flat type membranes was approximately ten-fold greater than those on the non-flat ones in spite of the same membrane thickness. The membrane reactor using flat sacks of silicone rubber membrane as support of bacterial pellicle can supply greater ratio of surface to volume than a conventional liquid surface culture and is promising for industrial production of bacterial cellulose in large scale.

This study was carried out to investigate the influence of different types of nutrient solutions and culture media on the growth and quality of cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.) and tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.). The results are summarized as follows : 1. The growth and yield of cucumber and tomato were best in rockwool culture with Cooper solution. 2. In sand-sack culture, growth and yield of cucumber and tomato were higher with compound fertillzer solution. 3. Growth and yield of cucumber and tomato were more effective in rockwool culture than in soil culture in early growth stages, and vice versa in later growth stages. 4. Vitamin C contents of cucumber and tomato showed no differences between soil cultures and hydroponics, except rockwool culture with compound fertilizer solution. 5. The dry weight, total-N, and mineral content of cucumber and tomato showed no differences among all types of hydroponics.

This study aims to analyze the style of men's suits and extract expressional words for the development of semantic differential scales of visual images according to the change in silhouette. Research methods are literature studies, case studies, and questionnaires. The stimuli were created using CLO 3D, a virtual sewing CAD. This study's results are as follows: 1) The British suit jacket has an angled shoulder line using thin pads, and a slightly higher waistline. The pants of the suit have a high waistline and two pleats, so the thighs of the pants are wide. The American suit jacket has a natural shoulder line, and the waistline is not emphasized. The width of the jacket is relaxed, and the length is long. The pants of the suit have a higher waistline, and the pants are wide as well. The Italian suit jacket has wide shoulders, and the waistline is connected lower with a soft curve, and the length is relatively short. The trousers of the suit are tapered and get narrower as it goes down to the hem. 2) Because it originated in the practices of true bespoke tailoring, traditional British suits have a far more 'fitted' silhouette than the mass-produced styles that became emblematic of the American style. By the late 1950s, a sack-style suit was standard American business attire. This technique gives the sack suit its characteristically 'boxy' silhouette. The "Continental" presented a highly tailored silhouette, with padded shoulders, a slim, tight-fitting chest, and a closely tapered waist. The story was that Italian culture valued aesthetics over all else and thus sought the 'slim' suit style as much as possible. 3) The main expressional words of visual images for men's suits differ greatly depending on the silhouette of suit. The visual images are ranked in the order of 'neat', 'classic', 'educated', 'hard', 'mature', for fitted silhouettes. The words of 'masculine', 'basic', 'comfortable', 'simple', 'mature', 'conservative', 'modern', are ranked for boxy silhouettes. And the words of 'slim', 'young', 'neat', are noted for slim silhouettes.

So far, for pearl culture using abalones, a plastic nucleus has been planted in an abalone by perforating the shell. But after planing 80 % of abalones died, and even if they live, the pearl's hardness was not so good. The weak hardness made the pearl valueless. The quality of a pearl is decided by the gloss and the quality of the pearl's layer. This study is to find the right nucleus for abalones and to decrease a death rate of abalones by selecting the right planting place. This study was also performed to obtain valuable pearls with proper size, gloss, and good color. Below is the result of the research; Conch shells out of the various nucleus materials were the best. Their shape, color and gloss were very good. The nucleus was planted in the part that a shell is grown up under the absorption ball, as a result a pearl sack was quickly made. After 15 days, out of every pearl, pearl sacks were made. The pearl formation was measured every month. From the abalone shell which was planted in April, qualitative pearls which was from 5mm to 5.81mm in size were obtained in December.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the classification and meaning of symbols, of the clothes of the college students by sex-roll theory and identity theory. The clothes analyzed in this study were collected by photographs which were taken in the campus (240 out of 1,000 pictures) of the several colleges and universities in Seoul form fall in 1993 to summer in 1994. The results were as follow : 1. Analysis as a symbol of sexuality. The phenomenon of the visual inconsistency and consistency of sexual image in dress were showed simultaneously. The clothes of male students were generally becoming feminine style in materials and colors of clothes. These suggested that sex-roll theory be applied to their clothes. 2. Analysis as symbols of identification or individuality. The identification of shoes, bags, accessories, and hair styles were prominent than that of clothes. When it was analyzed as a symbol of individuality, the college students seemed to act as fashion leaders, who accepted new fashions and tried them on first. These suggested that Erikson′s theory on identity be applied to their clothes. 3. Analysis as a symbol of emblem. The dissimilarities of between the college students and other groups in the same generation were bright and casual attire with files, books, and sack. 4. Analysis as a symbol of campus ceremony. The clothes of college students on campus ceremonies were more causal and flexible than those of other groups in the same generation. It was known that the symbols showed above were reflected on their clothes as "one′s expressions" which are sex-roll, identity, and characteristics of college students.

During the period of 3rd Tae-Jong and 4th Se-Jong, Yi Dynasty has established sound basis for ruling power and aristocratic social cast system. And the regulation for official dress has also been firmly established during the same period. The establishment of KWAN BOK SACK (Office of Hat-Dress) in 16th year of Tae-Jong (1416 A.D.) and the enforcement of KWAN BOK JI JAE (System of Hat and Dress) in 8th year of Se-Jong(1426 A.D) indicates the completion of system of official dress in the dynasty. In this study, the author tried to find out the concept of color in the ruling society since the concept of color in KWAN BOK JI JAE, which is the social reglation in the fendal dynasty, had greatly been influenced by these class of people. Effort has also been given to investigate what motivated the establishment and enforcement of KWAN BOK JI JAE, through the descriptions revealed in SE-JONG SILLOK. It can be concluded in the first that, in KWAN BOK JI JAE no new color concept appeared and its significance only remains on the fact that it establshed the social regulations which were existed before. And secondly, the works of Se-Jong in KWAN BOK JI JAE, in contrast to his magnificance in other fields, only showed great influence of toadyism (Chinese culture).

For the early selection of heat-tolerant clones, the true potato seeds of 750 clones were obtained by several cross combinations : $CIP\;575015\;{\times}\;katahdin,\;CIP\;575015\;{\times}\;B6603-6,\;84\;I\;35-4\;{\times}\;katahdin,\;CIP\;575015\;{\times}\;NookSack,\;and\;CIP575015\;{\times}\;Superior.$ The ratios of in vitro tuberization at 3$0^{\circ}C$ were decreased by 43% in all cross combinations compared with at 2$0^{\circ}C$. In particular, tuberization rate of $CIP575015\;{\times}\;katahdin$ cross at 3$0^{\circ}C$ was only 21%. On the other hand, the rate of tuberization of $CIP575015\;{\times}B6603-6$ cross was 58 % at 3$0^{\circ}C$, so this cross combination was thought to be good heat-tolerant clone. To screen the heat-tolerant clones in lower land during high temperature period, microtubers were cultivated in Kangnung, and the characters of tubers and productivity were examined. Among screened clones, one clone at 2$0^{\circ}C$ and three clones at 3$0^{\circ}C$ were shown to be heat-tolerant. The yield of 89ML75-8 was 88% more than that of Superior, and dry weight rate of 89 ML64-11 was 18.8%. Therefore, 89ML64-11 clone was considered as a good cultivar for processing.
