Wave Simulation for Submarine Cable Route of Southwest Sea Offshore Wind Farm Using the SWAN Model (SWAN 모델을 이용한 서남해 해상풍력단지 해저케이블 경과지의 파랑 수치모의)

  • Submarine cable installation is essentials for grid connection between existing power grid and newly produced electricity which will be from offshore wind farm in Southwest sea area of Korea. Especially, submarine cable route and protection method is designed in order to ensure the economical efficiency, workability and stability of submarine cable installation. On this paper, we will give the basic information about the submarine cable route and protection method of offshore wind farm which will be built in Southwest sea area of Korea. For this, we have a numerical simulation at high and low tide based on the third-generation wave model SWAN(Simulating WAves Nearshore) using the long term wave data from Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology(KIOST). The results of the study, year mean Hs is 1.03m, Tz is 4.47s and dominant wave direction is NW and SSW When the incident wave direction is NW(Hs: 7.0 m, Tp: 11.76s), the distribution of shallow water design wave height Hs was calculated about 4.0~5.0m at high tide and 2.0~3.0m at low tide. When the incident wave direction is SSW(Hs: 5.84 m, Tp: 11.15s), the distribution of shallow water design wave height Hs was calculated about 3.5~4.5m at high tide and 1.5~2.5m at low tide. The wave direction on a dominant influence in the section of longitude UTM 249749~251349(about 1.6 km) and UTM 251549~267749(about 16.2 km) in the submarine cable route are each NW and SSW. Prominently, wave focusing phenomenon appears between Wi-do and Hawangdeung-do, in this sea area is showing a relatively high wave hight than the surrounding sea areas.

  • 서비스의 다양화와 방송과 통신의 통합화로 인해 단방향 CATV에서 양방향 CATV의 뉴미디어 시대로 접어들고 있다. 본 고에서는 광 CATV 시스템인 SWAN(Sociocultural Wellbeing Advanced Network)에 VOD 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 미국 VDT(Video Dial Tone)의 수요예측을 통한 가입자망의 구성 종류, 이들 시스템의 초기 설치 비용을 참고로 하여 모델 도입에 경제성을 제고하였다. VOD 서비스를 도입함으로써 중심국과 분배센터간 전송 채널의 용량이 증가하여 전송 효율이 떨어져 서비스 블로킹 현상을 초래하게 된다. 이러한 전송효율의 저하를 방지하기 위한 방안을 제시한 VOD서비스용 광 CATV 시스템의 모델을 정립하였다.

  • An efficient typhoon wave-generating model is applied to northeast Asia sea zone presented that can be used by civil defense agencies for real-time prediction and fast warnings on typhoon-generated wind wave and storm surge. Instead of using commercialized wave models such as WAM, SWAN, the wind waves are simulated by using a new concept of wavelength modulation to enhance broader application of the hyperbolic wave model of the mild-slope equation type. The results simulated along the Korean coasts during Typhoon Nabi (2005) showed reasonable agreement with the recorded wind waves.

  • Tidal amplification by construction of the sea-dike and sea-walls had been detected not only near Mokpo Harbor but also at Chungkye Bay which is connected with Mokpo Harbor by a narrow channel. This brings about increase of tidal flat area and in particular increase of surge-wave combined runup during storms. The purpose of this study is to examine an efficient operational model that can be used by civil defense agencies for real-time prediction and fast warnings on wind waves and storm surges. Instead of using commercialized wave models such as WAM, SWAN, the wind waves are simulated by using a new concept of wavelength modulation to enhance broader application of the hyperbolic wave model of the mild-slope equation type. Furthermore, The predicting system is composed of easy and economical tools for inputting depth data of complex bathymetry and enormous tidal flats such as Mokpo coastal zone. The method is applied to Chungkye Bay, and possible inundation features at Mokpo Harbor are analyzed.

  • 최근 'healing'이라는 단어가 여기저기에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 과도한 업무와 스트레스에 지친 직장인들뿐만 아니라 학생들까지도 'healing'을 찾고 있는 추세이다. 그러다 보니 자연스럽게 명상이나 요가, 음악 치료와 같은 심신의 건강, 회복과 정서적인 안정을 위한 여러 가지 활동들을 찾게 되었으며 스마트폰이 발달함에 따라서 지금은 스마트폰의 애플리케이션을 이용하여 쉽고 간편하게 음악 치료를 이용하고 있으며, 두뇌와 비타민의 합성어인 BTamin 음악이 유행처럼 번지게 되며 뇌파 (Bectro Encephaio Graphy : EGG)에 대한 관심도 높아졌다. 본 논문은 안드로이드 마켓의 Music Therapy for sound sleep 애플리케이션의 알파 웨이브 음악을 RightMark Audio Analyzer 프로그램을 통하여 분석 해보았다.

  • Despite anticoagulation, systemic embolization and anticoagulant-related hemorrhage are the major drawbacks of heart valve replacement with mechanical prostheses. Among many predisposing factors, inadequacy of anticoagulation is the most important one. Surgery can be reserved for patients who do not response to thrombolytic therapy, We have experienced 3 cases of prosthetic valve thrombosis treated by thrombolytic therapy by use of urokinase and heparin. Two patients fully recovered and returned to their employments and active lives but 1 patient,died of intracerebral hemorrhage and infarction. We report prosthetic valve thrombosis thrombolytic therapy with urokinase and heparin which was detected and serially followed by 2-dimensional echocardiography, cinefluoro copy, and monitoring of Swan-Ganz catherterized pressures.

  • 지난 수십여년간 대기권의 변화와 기후환경의 관계 등을 체계적으로 이해하기 위한 노력의 일환으로, 환원황화합물에 대한 연구가 꾸준히 이루어져 왔다. 대기 중에 존재하는 황화합물 중에는 인위적으로 배출되는 부분과 마찬가지로, 자연적으로 배출되는 황화합물이 동시에 존재한다. 인위적으로 생성ㆍ배출되는 황의 경우 사람들의 산업활동에 의해 주로 발생되는 이산화황 (SO$_2$)의 중요성이 잘 알려져 있다. 이에 반해, 자연적으로 생성ㆍ배출되는 황화합물로는 주로 해양환경에서 쉽게 발견되는 중메틸황(DMS), CS$_2$, H$_2$S, COS, DMDS, MeSH 등으로 대표된다. Abnormally high Waves near the Sokcho Sea Area in Recent Years (최근 몇 년간 속초해역에서의 이상 고파)

  • 최근 몇 년간 속초해역에서 발생한 이상고파의 특성을 현장관측 자료를 분석하고 수치모형실험 결과와 비교하여 검토하였다. 2004년 이후의 현장 관측을 통해 최소한 4회 이상 파고 5.0 m를 초과하는 이상고파가 발생하였다. 특히 2006년 10월 23일 11시에는 유의파고 9.69 m에 이르는 매우 큰 파가 관측되었다. 한편 천해역 파랑추산모형 SWAN을 사용하여 속초해역의 50년 및 100년빈도 심해설계파로부터 천해설계파를 산정하여 이상고파 관측 결과와 비교하였다. 수치모형실험에 의한 50년빈도 천해설계파의 최대치는 파향이 ESE 방향일 때 4.9 m에 지나지 않아서 관측된 이상고파의 파고에 비해 현저하게 작았다. 따라서 통상적으로 이루어지고 있는 수치모형을 이용한 천해설계파 산정만으로는 최근 몇 년간 수 차례 관측된 동해안에서의 이상고파를 적절하게 모의할 수 없으며 이에 대한 개선방안이 마련되어야 할 필요성이 있다.

  • The Swan Coastal Plain, on which the City of Perth (pop. 1.32 million) is situated, is formed of aeolian sands of Pleistocene-Recent age. The mainly unconsolidated sediments build a series of dune lines paralleling the coastline. The near-surface water-table sees expression in numerous shallow freshwater lakes and marshes in the interdunal depressions.   • A Spectroscopic study on a pulme produced by a reactive laser pulse irradiates the graphite target in a nitrogen atmosphere, two emission bands of C2(d3IIg longrightarrowa3 IIu, Swan band) and CN(B2$\Sigma$+ longrightarrowX$^2$$\Sigma$+, Violet band ) were observed. By simulation of the optical emissionspectra, spectroscopic temperature of $C_2$ and CN molecules were obtained. The depended of vibrational and rotational temperatures on the laser fluence and distance from the target as well as the pressure dependence of the emission intensities of $C_2$ and CN was examined to elucidate the expansion dynamics of the plume and formation mechanisms of $C_2$and CN molecules.
